Double Jade's fate

Eight months past, she goes home to prepare for the birth of her child. While Yan Rui is telling his father that he is going to be a father. First he gets a beating by the cane next he gets a warm hug and said he had done well. Yan Rui now twenty and officially an adult when he becomes a father. When old marquis heard that the name of the mother, he fainted. 

Yan Rui and his nanny takes a week to convince his father the marriage. When Tang Li is having the contractions, Yan Rui brings his nanny and rush to her mansion and try to help. He make chaos there instead and told to stand outside the room and wait for the news. He pace up and down hearing her screaming. Soon the night falls, she is still inside. Man Chun arrive at the mansion too hearing the news. Two men waited outside. The cries of the child is heard when the sun rises. Yan Rui is so happy to see his son. Man Chun congrats the couple and leave for camp. While his nanny and her grand uncle are delighted to see a little child born in the mansion. A day later, old Marquis arrived. He did not say anything to his son but seeing a healthy baby boy born, his smile return. 

Tang Li remain alert and wake. She is tired but she is not sleepy. Because of her daily exercises she have everyday, she is healthy and strong. The physician only prescribe some mid tonic for her to replenish the missing blood in her body. Marquis BaiLi decided that they will hold their wedding on the third month to celebrate the birth of the child. It will be a double joy event. 

Yan Rui walk his father out to the carriage. Old marquis turn around and look at him. "I have thought of this many days now. Even though she is a widow. She is still highly respect among the noble family. We are not at a loss. Since she never give birth for the late Prince and you managed to get her pregnant. I will let it go. If she continue to have more children, all the better. Her army and our titles will not resolve into the air. We will become stronger and hopefully the emperor will not think of us as a threat to his throne. I have to think of something to a please him. While you! Do something better. Now as a father, you have a lot to do and think of. Don't let down your family." With this, old marquis left with the carriage. Yan Rui haven't got a chance to talk but he decided not to as it many make his father angry. 

Before the third month celebration, the news of the birth of the crown prince brings joy to the street. Everyone is celebrating the birth and happiness is in the air. Tang Li upon hearing the news cannot decide if she should be happy or not. She knows that Xian Wen is still within the palace walls. Did he do something or not. She wonder as she breast feed her child. She is still feeling bitter of Shung Yu. She is a person that Tang Li cannot win against in this life. 

After their marriage, she continue to nurse her son in Tang mansion. While Yan Run return to camp and continue his training. Man Chun temporally take over to oversea the camp. He consults the older soldiers and distribute the paperwork to those who write well enough. Later Man Chu consolidate the papers and bring it to Tang Li for approval before he submit to the royal bureau. 

Yan Rui will appear on Tang mansion whenever he is given the day off. He plays with his son who is active and curios about everything. At evening, he will ask the nanny to play with the child and he hurry to spend quality time with Tang Li. That is because before midnight he have to return to camp. 

"When do you want to move to the BaiLi mansion? I have the maids to clean up the rooms."

He ask as he put on his pants and sit down to allow Tang Li to comb his long hair up into a pony tail.

"I really don't know. I like where i live."

"I know that but BaiLi Yan Feng, needs to know where his roots are."

"I know that. I am thinking. That, our son can spend every three months in each mansion. How is that? My grand uncle won't be lonely without him and your father can spend time with him too."

Yan Rui turn around after he have his hair tie up. He look at his naked wife, he kiss her gently on her lips. "I will inform father. I doubt he will be angry. Most of my nephews are playing over the mansion now." 

Tang Li return back to camp when her son is one year old. She had exercise daily at the mansion with her son so that her stamina is remain. However she can't do wrestling anymore. It hurts her womb when she try to lift a sandbag at the mansion. Thus she stands around and cheer her men.

Now she is not an angry woman. She no long ask why there isn't a man who can't see her worth. Instead she ask why her husband is so sticky? Even when she return home, her son will stick to her like glue. Tang Li is not complaining about it but she is enjoying the feeling of closeness and someone who wants to see her daily. Her son may not talk now but she knows he will have his father's habit of talking non stop. Now she wants to enjoy her time as a general and mother. She stands tall with the Tang flag maybe her second child will inherit this flag that brings her the joy of what life is about.
