Chapter 257 You Know
Chu Yuan's sleeping chamber.
Chu Yuan looked at the invitation letter in his hand and finally understood what was going on.
It was very simple to activate the invitation letter.
All one needed to do was tear the invitation letter, and a spatial passage to Saint Medical Land would be created.
Having learned this fact,
Chu Yuan felt shocked and had no other thoughts.
The invitation letter was unexpectedly high-end.
This was something he hadn't anticipated.
To activate it required a drop of blood, to open it one had to tear the invitation letter.
It felt like some sort of high-tech magic.
"Why not set off right now?"
Chu Yuan held the invitation letter, wanting to tear it up and depart for that Saint Medical Land.
But after some thought, was it perhaps too dangerous for someone at the Foundation Establishment Realm to go alone?
It might be better to take someone with him.
Who should he take with him...
Li Ergang?
Bringing Li Ergang, a cook, seemed somewhat pointless; if they encountered danger, someone in the Golden Core Realm wouldn't be of much use.
The best choice would be to bring Ao Yu.
Ao Yu, being such a large Canglong dragon, would undoubtedly be strong in battle.
Useful both as a mount and in combat.
Taking Ao Yu was definitely the right decision.
Chu Yuan decided this and immediately put away the invitation letter.
He rose and walked out of his sleeping chamber towards the kitchen.
He didn't know where Ao Yu was at the moment.
He planned to ask Li Ergang directly.
Li Ergang frequently wandered around the Wayless Sect, so he was sure to know Ao Yu's whereabouts.
Chu Yuan quickly headed towards the kitchen.
In less than the time it took an incense stick to burn, he arrived near the kitchen.
Upon entering, he saw only Li Ergang tidying the table; Baize was nowhere to be seen.
"Er Gang,"
Chu Yuan strode forward and called out.
"Sect Master, what brings you back here? Would you like something more to eat?"
Li Ergang, seeing Chu Yuan approaching, hurriedly asked.
"No, I won't eat. Er Gang, do you know where that fellow Ao Yu is?"
Chu Yuan cut to the chase and asked.
"Ah? Yes, I know, Sect Master. Are you looking for him for a specific reason?"
Li Ergang's face showed a hint of embarrassment, and he coughed twice before asking.
"Yes, I need him for something. Where is Ao Yu?"
Chu Yuan said with an air of nonchalance, hands clasped behind his back.
"Well, Sect Master, I assigned him to feed the pigs. Seeing him idling around the Wayless Sect every day, I found him some work to do,"
Li Ergang said, looking utterly embarrassed.
After speaking, he continued to glance cautiously at Chu Yuan,
Worried that Chu Yuan might be displeased.
But Chu Yuan held no dissatisfaction, rather he was filled with surprise.
No way.
Ordering a Canglong dragon to feed pigs??
How did you manage that?
And Ao Yu actually listened so obediently??
Chu Yuan's lips twitched slightly.
He was puzzled. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire
That was, after all, a fully grown dragon. Where was the dragon's dignity?
He felt it was necessary to help Ao Yu regain his dragon dignity.
Even he could not stoop so low as to fall into pig raising.
"Go call him over."
Chu Yuan waved his hand and spoke.
Upon hearing these words.
Li Ergang immediately breathed a sigh of relief, quickly avowed his agreement, and then turned to head towards the direction of the back cliff.
Chu Yuan watched Li Ergang's departing figure, shook his head, and, not deeming it worth mentioning more, picked up the invitation again to scrutinize it attentively, fearful of having overlooked anything.
Less than a moment later,
Ao Yu was brought over by Li Ergang.
Seeing the somewhat excited expression on Li Ergang's face, Chu Yuan's brows twitched—called to feed the pigs, and this fellow is still excited?
"Ao Yu, are you alright?"
Chu Yuan took a deep breath and asked.
"Sect Master, I'm fine, really good,"
Ao Yu shook his head, saying with an extremely excited expression.
"Why are you so happy?"
Chu Yuan sized up Ao Yu from head to toe, feeling that something was very strange about him.
"No, no, Sect Master, I've had some insights in my cultivation, so I'm happy,"
Ao Yu hastened to explain.
He had initially been very averse to the job of feeding pigs, but, fearing Li Ergang's 'fierce prowess,' he had reluctantly agreed.
But later, he discovered that eating a pig whenever he had nothing better to do actually greatly helped his cultivation.
Munching along, his realm had even broken through.
This gradually made him grow fond of the job of feeding pigs.
If it weren't for Li Ergang calling him over, he would have liked to eat a few more pigs.
"You're really alright?"
Chu Yuan asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Of course, I'm alright, Sect Master!"
Ao Yu said, thumping his chest.
"Then that's fine. I plan to take you to a place. Get ready and come with me,"
Chu Yuan said slowly.
"Ah? Sect Master, where are we going?"
Ao Yu was briefly dumbfounded.
"Don't worry about it. Just get ready and come with me. I'm taking you to an interesting place,"
Chu Yuan could not be bothered to explain too much.
"Okay, Sect Master, please wait a moment. I'll go and get ready right away,"
Ao Yu said promptly.
Having said that,
he turned and flew towards his living quarters.
Seeing this scene,
Chu Yuan was in no hurry, sitting at the table, waiting quietly.
Meanwhile, Li Ergang cautiously approached and poured a cup of tea for Chu Yuan.
"Sect Master, please enjoy the tea,"
Li Ergang said in a quiet voice.
"Mhm,"
Chu Yuan picked up the teacup and gently sipped from it.
Suddenly, he thought of something.
He turned his head to look at Li Ergang.
"Right, Ergang, I will be leaving the sect for a while, and there's something I need to entrust to you,"
Chu Yuan spoke softly.
"Sect Master, please instruct me,"
Li Ergang replied promptly.
"After I leave the sect, pay extra attention to Su Xi, the new disciple, especially his dietary concerns. Make absolutely sure this disciple's dietary condition remains normal. You understand what I mean, don't you?"
Chu Yuan said, with a meaningful tone.
"Ah, this... oh, oh, okay, I understand, Sect Master, I understand!"
Li Ergang nodded quickly.
The Sect Master must be concerned about the disciple's diet, probably worried that the new disciple's meals would become disordered in the Sect Master's absence.
That, he understood; he would take good care of it.
He would prepare some dishes that could assist with cultivation for that new disciple.
"Good, as long as you understand,"
Chu Yuan nodded, satisfied.
The two men exchanged a look, as if both had grasped the other's meaning…
