The next person Shen Yu contacted was his wife from another Sect, Bai Li. Since he knew what kind of situation she was in, he waited patiently until she accepted the connection.

He asked, as he looked at the situation in the Seven Stars Sect through her, "Are you free?"

Standing in a dark alley, Bai Li wiped the corner of her mouth and jerked her hand, removing the blood from it. She was still in her masculine transformation, so her appearance looked horrifying, to say the least.

She smiled, hearing the voice in her head, and replied, "I'm always free for you, Master."

Shen Yu was curious about her situation but decided to ask later as they had more pressing matters to deal with. He simply nodded and said, "Be ready!"

In the next moment, a young man appeared in the white space as he looked around in curiosity. Still, he first took out a blue gem, which made his appearance change dramatically.

A beautiful blonde woman stood in his place with blonde hair and charming blue eyes. She wore a form-fitting purple dress that Shen Yu had given her once.

She looked around and found Shen Yu sitting at the head table and smiled. She bowed and said, "Greetings, Master. I have good news. My plans are coming along very well, and it shouldn't take long before the main battle starts. For now, we are in the lead."

Even though his mind was somewhere else, Shen Yu still smiled and said, "That's good! I really feel useless sometimes, as all of you are too good."

Scratching her head, Bai Li said, "Well, my plans wouldn't succeed without you, so it doesn't matter how good we are."

Shen Yu chuckled at that and gestured for her to sit, as Ning Xi patted the chair beside her. As Bai Li made herself comfortable on the chair, Shen Yu said, "Wait a minute! I have something to show you, okay!"

A little confused, Bai Li nodded as she tried to ask Ning Xi for details. Sadly, she received no answers.

'Now, the two of you, where are you?' Shen Yu thought as he focused his attention back on the capital. In the city, he concentrated on the Imperial Palace and found his wives quickly.

In one corner of the Imperial Palace, where tamed Spiritual Creatures were kept, a young woman with long purple hair and a face full of marks stood beside a shed.

"Are you free?"

Qing Zhiyan was startled awake, hearing Shen Yu's voice in her head. Normally, Shen Yu would signal them that he wanted to talk so as not to invade their privacy.

However, Qing Zhiyan seemed to be sleeping, so he just asked directly.

Qing Zhiyan quickly calmed down, understanding the situation, and replied mentally as she again stood silently on her spot, 'Unfortunately, I am not free, Master. I was doing something... to catch someone.'

"I see. But I want you to come over. Don't worry, you won't lose any time."

Qing Zhiyan furrowed her brows but still subtly nodded. Since Shen Yu was insisting so much, the matter was serious. She could check the person's identity later on, anyway.

'Good!'

Upon opening her eyes, Qing Zhiyan found herself sitting on a comfortable chair. There were all the people she knew and had considered as family.

Ning Xi quickly gave her a short summary, which made Qing Zhiyan even more confused. But she stayed silent and waited, knowing whom Shen Yu was contacting next.

Still, closing his eyes, Shen Yu concentrated on a different part of the Imperial Palace, the study from where Li Xiaojing had just exited.

As she walked on the tiled floor, she felt a strange connection tugging on her soul. Curious, she tried to investigate and found a message appearing in her soul.

Smiling, she nodded and turned around as she disappeared into a narrow corridor. In there, she closed her eyes as her body disappeared from view.

The next moment, she was sitting beside her daughter in a vast, unfathomable space. She took a deep breath to calm her raging heart, as she thought to herself, 'Everything will be okay. This is your new family. Behave properly.'

She was very nervous, as this was the first time in years she was going to meet people she could trust—people she could call family. Shen Yu had given her that opportunity, and she wanted to use it.

However, she was still afraid, as her heart still felt the fear. Nevertheless, she managed to calm down slightly and got ready to greet everyone. Before she could say anything, she heard shouts from all sides.

"Empress!!!"

Ying Yue and Xiao Lan were startled as they looked at their sisters, who had stood up with shocked expressions on their faces. They weren't the only ones confused, as Bai Li also looked at others in confusion.

Song Junwan was the first one to get out of her shock and stuttered as she turned to look at Qing Zhiyan, "I-Is this true?"

Qing Zhiyan smiled lightly and nodded, as she had already expected such a reaction. After all, Li Xiaojing was the Empress of the Qing Empire. It was bound to shock others.

As everyone tried to process the new news that had dropped on them, Ning Xi began to laugh loudly.

"As expected from Master, even the distant Empress has joined the family."

Ying Yue nodded from the side. "Indeed. Master's charms know no bounds."

Xiao Lan also nodded in agreement. "It would be a miracle if someone rejects him."

Looking at the chaos unfolding before him, Shen Yu rolled his eyes and said, "Can you all not scare her? She's new to the family, you know."

Li Xiaojing was taken aback by their reaction and didn't know what to say. Hearing Shen Yu's words, she hurriedly waved her hands. "It's fine. I'm just surprised by this... cheerful atmosphere."

Sitting beside her, Qing Zhiyan nodded and put her head on Li Xiaojing's shoulder. "Yes, the palace is grand, but it's suffocating. I like this place a lot, and I'm sure you'll like it too, Mom."

Unknowingly, a small smile formed on Li Xiaojing's lips as she said, "I'm sure I will."
