Diary Of Service Club, Helping The Elf Princess

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Intercepting A Scandal

"Little Hikigaya, is this okay?"

Yuna listened to the opinions of her two small companions and looked at Hikigaya.

"You don't have to wait for me specifically. I don't know when I'll be done anyway. You guys know my address, right? You can head straight to my place. My sister should be home early today, so you can play with her."

Hikigaya contemplated for a moment and decided not to make them wait for him to go home together.

"Your little sister, huh? Then let's grab some desserts later and bring a portion for her."

Yuna blinked. She hadn't had a chance to meet Hikigaya's sister yesterday, so she was looking forward to it today.

Little Hikigaya turned out to be a hidden hottie; his sister must be pretty too.

"Not bringing one for me?"

Hikigaya looked at the thoughtful and caring Yuna with a smile.

"Of course, there'll be some for you, Little Hikigaya~"

Yuina patted Hikigaya on the shoulder with a cheeky grin.

"Thanks in advance, then."

Seeing that he and Yuna were on the same page, Hikigaya turned to Gabriel beside him.

"Tenma-san, I'll ask you to help out in the Service Club next time. It might be a bit busy today."

"No problem. See you later, Hikigaya-kun."

Gabriel smiled and shook her head to show she didn't mind. Although she was curious about what the Service Club was like, it wasn't going anywhere, so there was no rush for her to join.

In fact, she was more focused on the strange happenings at school recently.

During the break, she thought she smelled the presence of a demon but wasn't sure.

This school already had beings from another world, ghosts, and angels. And now there seemed to be demons. What was Heaven's plan in sending her and other angels here for internships?

After finishing the conversation, Hikigaya left. Once out of the classroom, he let out a quiet sigh of relief.

What he'd said about Student Council President Kaede visiting the Service Club was true. However, mentioning it was a way to ensure Yuna and her friends didn't follow him right now.

Aside from the Kaede sisters, only a few specific people were coming to the Service Club today.

Yukinoshita Yukino didn't share any romantic tension with him, so there was no concern there.

Early Saki was still clueless enough to think they were just friends. Unless he took the initiative, she wouldn't dare say or do anything out of line.

As for the elf princess Iris, despite being the one with the closest and most intimate relationship with him, she was both shy and bold in a way that made her irresistible. Even so, she knew her boundaries and what was appropriate to say.

The only ones he worried about were the gyaru trio of Yuna, Yuina, and Rin. While they weren't bad people like some troublemaking gyaru from other classes, their bold and uninhibited style often disregarded the presence of others.

That morning, they even risked breaking the strict school rules about improper boy-girl relationships by blocking the strict disciplinary committee member Kotegawa Yui's view, encircling him and getting handsy.

Yuna was thoughtful and caring, so there was less to worry about with her. Hikigaya's main concerns lay with the bold and outspoken Yuina and the sharp-tongued Rin.

For now, it was just a temporary measure.

He needed to figure out how to handle Kaede and Shizuku. Before recovering his memories, he had misunderstood Kaede, thinking she didn't like him. But now, with his memories restored, he knew she was just a tsundere.

Kaede and Shizuku... Would Shizuku help him out? If not, he'd have to come up with a plan on his own.

[Character Mission Reminder]

Hearing the familiar system prompt, Hikigaya's expression changed. He looked at the names and locations on the love interest list, hesitated for a moment, and changed direction toward the student guidance office.

After Hikigaya hurriedly left, Yuna and Yuina prepared to go grab desserts.

However, as they were saying goodbye to Little Hikigaya's crush Tenma-san and about to leave, a voice called out from the corner seat by the window.

"Shirasaki, what's going on? You've been hanging around that Hikigaya guy a lot lately."

Miura Yumiko stared curiously at Yuna and her group.

Although Miura wasn't part of their clique, she knew their personalities. They were decent people but had no reason to get close to someone like Hikigaya, who was gloomy and hard to approach.

Miura Yumiko's desk neighbor, Kitagawa Marin, also turned her head around, smiling as she looked at them and guessed, "Could it be that you've become good friends with him?"

She didn't particularly dislike that Hachiman student, but there wasn't much to talk about. Plus, Yumiko didn't quite like the guy, so she hadn't chatted much with him either.

"Yeah, don't you think he has the potential to be handsome?"

Yuna replied cheerfully, but Yuina and Rin didn't respond. They didn't get along as well with Yumiko as Yuna did.

The social clique seemed similar to the gyaru clique, but their way of interacting was quite different. Although there was a gyaru in Miura's social group, that gyaru had even better social skills than Yuna, making it impossible to measure her by the standard of an average gyaru.

"Handsome? Come on, as if."

Miura Yumiko pursed her lips. Although she had been sitting next to Hachiman all this time, she had never really looked at him directly. And when Yuna and her group came, they'd form a crowd around him, blocking her view, so she hadn't noticed Hachiman's changes at all.

"Do you want to come along for some desserts?"

Yuna didn't mind, smiling as she invited them.

Anyway, once they completely transformed little Hachiman into a handsome guy, it would absolutely shock Yumiko and the others.

"Go for desserts together…"

Miura Yumiko mused, looking at her friends, Kitagawa Marin and Ichiji Nijika.

"Sorry, I already have plans today with a girl from school who also loves cosplay. She doesn't want others to know her true identity, so I can't invite you along. Yumiko, you should go for desserts with Nijika."

Kitagawa Marin had already slung her bag over her shoulder. Hearing Yuna's invitation, she immediately clasped her hands together apologetically, signaling Yuna to invite their circle's other member, Nijika, to join Yumiko instead.

"Well... sorry, Yumiko. I'm busy today too. Remember I mentioned forming a band recently? Someone backed out, and I'm looking for a replacement…"

The blonde, side-ponytail girl Nijika, who was packing her things, turned around slightly embarrassed as she spoke, offering an apologetic smile.

"Huh? Are you saying I'm the only one without plans today? You're both ditching me?"

Miura Yumiko stared at Marin and Nijika, both of whom had plans, in disbelief, pointing at herself in astonishment.

'These two. They had plans and didn't tell her, only mentioning it now?'

"How could we? We did invite you, Yumiko; you just didn't bother with them."

Yuna quickly pulled Yumiko closer and, with a wave to Marin and Nijika, led Yumiko out of the classroom, along with Yuina and Rin.

"Marin, Nijika, don't worry. We'll make sure Yumiko has fun and forgets about today."

"Huh? What's with that babysitting tone?"

[Character mission prompt—'The Politician's Daughter Unable to Resist]

[The politician's daughter, Ichinose Ayano, admires teacher Hasegawa and confesses to him. However, just after succeeding, she is photographed by passing teacher Misaki, who uses the evidence to blackmail her]

[If this evidence is made public, teacher Hasegawa will lose his job]

[Faced with teacher Misaki's request for student guidance, Ichinose Ayano is caught in a dilemma]

[Do you wish to teleport to Ichinose Ayano's side?]

Planning to head to the Service Club, Hachiman heard the mission prompt and didn't teleport to the guidance office immediately. Instead, he changed direction and walked over.

Ichinose Ayano was a student in his class. He'd just seen her during class, and since school had just ended, she was likely only just leaving the classroom. Teleporting straight there might leave him with nowhere to hide.

Not everyone was as pure and naive as Hayase Saki, who could be easily misled. He didn't want to expose his teleportation ability unnecessarily.

Hachiman checked Ichinose Ayano's location and found it was the Sobu High School student guidance office.

Wasn't the guidance office under Ms. Shizuka's jurisdiction?

Sobu High did have its fair share of problem students, but not enough to warrant a guidance office for every grade. As both a literature teacher and the school's head of student guidance, there was no chance of him getting it wrong.

With suspicion in mind, Hachiman headed quickly to the guidance office. Just as he was about to knock, he noticed the door was ajar.

Through the gap, he could see that inside, besides Ms. Shizuka, there were two girls and a male teacher.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK~

Hachiman pushed the door open slightly and tapped on it.

"Hachiman? Perfect timing. I have something to ask of you."

Inside the guidance office, Ms. Shizuka looked over and, upon seeing Hachiman, immediately brightened and walked over to pull him in.

"Ask me? If you want to ask me for something, come to the Service Club. I don't take private requests."

Being pulled into the guidance office, Hachiman casually glanced at the others present.

The male teacher, dressed in formal attire, was tall and handsome, his face bearing a smile that felt somewhat insincere.

The two girls were both stunningly beautiful. One had shoulder-length pink hair and a calm, expressionless demeanor. The other looked uneasy, with long azure hair styled into a fishtail princess braid.

"You don't take private requests? Heh."

Ms. Shizuka chuckled at Hachiman's serious tone. Without exposing him in front of the others, she explained:

"I was planning to bring someone to the Service Club, but now that you're here, I'll leave her to you."

"Bring someone to the Service Club? You want to send two problem children to my club?"

Hachiman glanced at the two heiresses standing together, wondering if Ms. Shizuka had been influenced by the elf princess Iris into dumping students on him.

The club was already busy enough. Was she trying to overwhelm him with beauties? He hadn't expected Ms. Shizuka to be so devious.

"What are you thinking? I just want to take Sakurase over," Hiratsuka Shizuka pressed down on Hikigaya's head in an annoyed manner. "Ichinose was called here by Misaki-sensei and is just borrowing the student guidance room."

"The Service Club?"

Ichinose Ayano, deeply preoccupied with her own matters, couldn't help but pause when she heard the absurdly strange club name.

Beside her, Misaki-sensei also looked over, his expression full of oddity.

Sobu High's discipline was so strict, and even he tread cautiously without daring to act out, yet someone was so brazen as to start a... club like that?

"Oh, this guy and that Yukinoshita started a Service Club to help students in trouble. While the name is a bit odd, it really is a club for accepting requests to assist others."

Hiratsuka Shizuka explained simply, as if she had grown accustomed to the misconception. In fact, she even felt that Yukinoshita Yukino and Hikigaya had come up with an incredibly strange name for their club.

At first, she had wondered if she misunderstood, but based on the current activities of the club, there indeed seemed to be something somewhat improper about it.

The situation with Hayase Saki was unclear to her, but it involved certain school troublemakers being cornered in an alley.

The Elf Princess Iris had entered into an assistance agreement with Hikigaya.

If she hadn't known that Yukinoshita Yukino and Hikigaya had minimal interaction, and that Yukinoshita Yukino was too proud to be involved in such schemes, she might have thought these two had conspired to cause trouble for her.

"Hiratsuka-sensei, correction: I founded the Service Club alone. I am the president, and Yukinoshita is just a member of the club."

Hikigaya shook his head, emphasizing his position.

Although his ultimate goal was to become a househusband and he didn't mind being subordinate to Yukinoshita in the future, for now, he needed to complete tasks and earn rewards, and that required Yukinoshita Yukino to acknowledge him as the club's president.

"A day sooner or later makes no difference."

Hiratsuka Shizuka rolled her eyes at Hikigaya, not intending to argue further. She walked over to the expressionless Sakurase Shino, who showed no emotional fluctuations, and addressed Hikigaya.

"Since you don't take private requests, I'll bring Sakurase to the Service Club with you. Misaki-sensei just needs to borrow the student guidance room."

Sobu High only had one student guidance room, so when teachers needed to privately discuss matters with students, they would occasionally borrow it from Hiratsuka Shizuka, who didn't find it an issue.

"..."

Ichinose Ayano, seeing Hiratsuka Shizuka and the others preparing to leave the room, realized she was about to face Misaki-sensei alone. She opened her mouth slightly but ultimately said nothing.

Misaki-sensei held evidence of her relationship with Hasegawa-sensei. He had already given his final warning yesterday, saying that if she refused today, he would expose the evidence to the school...

If the scandal of a teacher-student relationship were revealed, her father's political career would take a hit, and Hasegawa-sensei would lose his job as well...

She had no way to refuse...

"Wait a second, Hiratsuka-sensei, don't you find something strange here?"

Hikigaya glanced at Ichinose Ayano, who looked uneasy yet hadn't called out to Hiratsuka Shizuka. He grabbed Hiratsuka Shizuka, who seemed oblivious, and met her puzzled gaze with a calm expression.
