Chapter 601 Humanoid Shadow, A Thought of Divine Demons!
The White Elephant King has fallen!
The Theological Alliance's morale crumbled. Some fled, while others knelt and surrendered!
Only a very small group of war generals within the Theological Alliance, still believing in the promises of the Humanoid Shadow about universal harmony and shared transcendence, tried to rally their comrades to resist the Wolf Pack and die with dignity.
But these war generals could hardly convince anyone around them.
Soon, even they were swarmed and completely suppressed by surrounding Theological Alliance members.
Many of them were dragged away, crying to the heavens, as offerings to the exotic beasts of the Wolf Pack Coalition in hopes of gaining favor.
Once mortal enemies, they now absurdly assumed roles of rulers and subjugates in this moment.
All of this was because of the appearance of the majority of the Wolf Pack high above in the skies, tens of thousands of meters above ground.
The Wolf Pack Civilization!
Once already equal with the Serpent Civilization in reputation across heaven and earth, they had now even surpassed it in might.
However, just as this scene unfolded, a sound both weeping and laughing, sorrowful and enraged, rose from the crater where the Humanoid Shadow had fallen, a crater still spewing traces of earth fire.
The sound was desolate, heavy with an ancient sadness, as if emerging from an unknown realm.
This drew the gazes of the powerful figures looming high in the sky, back toward the crater.
Even the Evil Mandrake, which had suffered the greatest pressure after the fall of the White Elephant King, felt a weight lift from its shoulders.
For at the moment this strange disturbance emanated from the crater, it instinctively sensed that the Northern Cold Wolf Master's relentless attention on it had been diverted.
The Northern Cold Wolf Master!
To be fair, every time the Evil Mandrake encountered the Wolf Master, it always elicited a new and different feeling.
The Wolf Master was stronger than before, and even colder than before—as if a heartless Emperor Sovereign patrolling the mortal world.
Fortunately, the Evil Mandrake believed it had not been deeply entangled in this grand war against the Wolf Pack Civilization.
It had not personally slaughtered any members of the Wolf Pack. Even its battle with the Fox-tail Algae had begun with diplomacy before turning to violence.
Thus, if under these circumstances the Wolf Master still insisted on giving it the same fate as the White Elephant King, then the Evil Mandrake felt it would have no choice but to fight to the death.
With this thought in mind,
The desolate and heavy sound emanating from the crater where the Humanoid Shadow lay grew louder and louder.
Before long,
Under the watchful eyes of the powerful figures in the sky, fresh blood began to gush from the enormous crater still erupting with earth fire.
At first, the blood trickled in thin streams, but in mere moments it transformed into a surging river of blood, thick with malice, corrosiveness, and the power to assimilate all it touched.
Within this blood river were trapped life souls, their faces twisted in agony. Assimilated by the blood, they howled with haunting despair.
For a time, the battlefield, once calmed, seemed to erupt with a ghostly Blood River flowing out of Hell itself.
Amid the boundless river of blood, the battered and seemingly lifeless residual soul of the Humanoid Shadow rose slowly from the crater.
Its once brilliant Divine Light had completely dissipated, and it revealed its horrifying True Body to all the onlookers.
Its chest and back were crisscrossed with terrifying wounds, densely packed and horrifying to behold.
Its eight originally radiant wings, golden like molten gold, were now riddled with gory holes,
While the heart, which once pulsed grandly in its chest, was missing, leaving only an open wound piercing entirely through its body.
The remaining half of its skull and its fractured, shattered eyes slowly opened above the blood river, its ghastly gaze sweeping across the battlefield with a demonic, feral grin.
This manifestation of the Humanoid Shadow caused the entire Theological Alliance army to collectively gasp in horror.
For they had never seen the Deity in this dreadful state before.
To them, the Deity had always been an unmatched strategist, radiating Divine Light, a towering godlike figure descending upon the mortal world.
But today, upon seeing the True Body of the Humanoid Shadow, their beliefs were utterly shattered.
"A demon! A demon! This is a devil!"
A war general who had just been subdued, still loyal to the Deity, let out a despairing cry, half of his faith collapsing at the sight of the Humanoid Shadow.
"Was the Deity possessed by an evil ghost from Hell?"
Many Divine Servants within the Theological Alliance were rendered speechless, struck dumb by the horrific spectacle.
As for the True Gods who understood the truth, even they were overwhelmed, fleeing desperately as the nine totemic Godspeed Golden Eagle avatars, mighty enough to shake the heavens, pursued them endlessly.
Out of the nearly two hundred True Gods, fewer than one-tenth escaped, with the vast majority perishing under the relentless chase of the Godspeed Golden Eagle.
The myriad complex Rule Powers in the heavens cried out in lamentation at this dreadful slaughter, trembling as though mourning for the catastrophic loss of so much Ancestral Combat Power in a single day.
Yet amid this trembling, the shattered and demonic eyes of the Humanoid Shadow above the Blood River remained unchanged.
Even as over a hundred comrades fell under the pursuit of the Godspeed Golden Eagle avatars, the Shadow was utterly unmoved.
Before long,
Its demonic, fractured gaze lifted to lock onto the Northern Cold Wolf Master high in the sky.
The corners of its mangled mouth curled into a chilling smile, a smile that, in the eyes of all species, was horrifyingly grotesque and filled with malice.
