Destroying My Own World

Chapter 224: First stop.

"Nal, let me join the battle. These humans are so powerful that I can create a new world tree with just one of their heads," Baduhenna said as she held her spears tightly, eager to join the battle.

"Hold your horses, Baduhenna. We need to know our opponents first before we make a move. We have no idea how powerful those people are," Nal shook her head as she watched the battle which was one-sided.

"This is no longer a battle, this is a massacre. Your children can't handle them and they're being toyed around. Don't you have a slight sympathy toward your own children?" Baduhenna asked and kept pressuring Nal so she could join the fight.

"It might look one-sided, and do you know what weakness for people like them? They're easily bored, hungry for a real fight where they could use everything they got to defeat their opponents. But since this isn't the case, they will start to get bored and then they will show their powerful skills to make it end. That's what I have been waiting for," Nal explained. "I don't mind losing all my children as long as I can get what I want. So be patient," Nal added.

Jeanne and the others were indeed bored and annoyed that the enemies kept coming, but they were nothing but small fries. They didn't want to waste their time on something insignificant that wouldn't even be a threat to them even if they let them live for hundreds of thousands of years.

"I'm sick of this pest!" Aurea shouted and slowly showed her true form and grew two hundred meters tall.

Nal and the others were surprised that something like that existed other than Primordial and Cosmical beings. They never thought there was someone who had the ability to change size as they pleased, but looking at how small Aurea was, they didn't even look at her as a threat.

Aurea activated her [Lunacy] skill and in an instant, all the Gods, including Nal could hear the screams of the souls. The Gods that Nal brought down to Earth were affected by that skill and they all started to kill each other. For Primordial and Cosmical beings, they could handle such a thing even though it still bothered them.

"So she has that kind of ability. If it only that much, I don't think it will be a problem for us," Baduhenna pointed out as she watched Aurea.

Nal didn't say a word, and then suddenly Aurea screamed and her voice was enough to create waves on the sea. The sea looked like it was enraged by her voice, and the moment she stopped screaming, all the Gods heard a loud ringing sound inside their heads. Even Nal felt the pain inside her head that she clenched her face because it was so painful as if her insides were being ripped and torn apart.

The moment Nal and the others opened their eyes, that was when they were baffled by what they saw. Thousands of Gods, Nal's children, all of them were lying on the ground dead and the worst part was that their souls were taken by Aurea.

Nal felt heartache when she saw her children dead and there was no way for them to be resurrected since the souls got taken by Aurea. Although she didn't predict that, she kept her calm and wasn't really bothered by it even though Baduhenna and the others were afraid that Farbauti would come down to Earth to punish Aurea.

"What were you saying, Baduhenna? She's not a threat to us?" Nal asked without looking back at Baduhenna. "That was painful enough even for us, and do you think you can handle her on your own?" Nal asked again.

Baduhenna quietly admitted her mistake and she was grateful that Nal stopped her from joining. She realized if she made a mistake, her head would fly knowing it was only one out of forty-four that had shown their powerful skills. She realized the enemies Nal was facing were different from what she thought, and she no longer underestimated them.

"Do you even know why they're doing this?" Nal asked as she turned around and looked at the others.

They all shook their heads since they didn't know much about them, and all they were concerned about was that those people were the ones who tried to destroy Earth. Only Odin and a few of them who existed in the novel world knew that Mykel wasn't after them since he could achieve that the moment he got his power back.

"We're not the enemies they're after, they're after the one above us all. The man behind these people, the man I can admit that I admire is one of the smartest people I have encountered. He knows what he's doing, and if you dared to poke him, your head will disappear in an instant," Nal said with a serious expression. "To be honest, he will be the biggest threat to us. But, we are also a threat to some of us," Nal pointed out as she glanced to the northwest.

Odin turned around and realized Nal was staring at Mount Olympus, and he knew what she was thinking. Nal was being pressured by both sides and now she had become the most vulnerable compared to the others.

"It's time for us to retreat. I have wasted a third of my children, and it gives a bad taste in my mouth," Nal said as she opened a portal.

"What about them?" Baduhenna asked.

"They have gotten their fill, but they're still hungry for blood. It would be wise if we leave now or they will change their mind and come after us next," Nal answered and entered the portal.

Elena and the others watched Nal and her army leave into the portal, and Elena let them leave because deep down she knew killing Nal now would put her and her team in trouble in the future. Eliminating a powerful figure would only make the rest join another faction and put them in a bad spot.

"Mykel would make the same decision, Elena," Jeanne said as she stood beside Elena. "He wouldn't kill her because she's too important to kill. He might not make her our ally, but he would gain something from her first before he defeat her," Jeanne continued.

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement with what Jeanne said. They had been with Mykel and they could predict what he would do in that situation they were in.

"That's right, but the reason I would do that is because she has so many enemies. She's now in a bad spot after risking everything to get any information about you guys," Mykel said as he came out of the portal with Lyneth. "She must be disappointed now that what she risked is for just a tiny piece of information, but she will remember this if we let her breath for a moment," Mykel continued.

"Let her breath?" Elena asked.

"To focus on the other enemies she has. She will remember that we didn't chase after her even though we knew she was in a bad spot," Luciel answered. "She won't feel indebted, but she will appreciate our understanding. That's basically what Mykel is trying to say," Luciel pointed out.

Everyone nodded with understanding and that would bring a good impression on Nal about them. Although the deal had expired, that didn't mean they couldn't make a new one in the future.

"So? What are we going to do now?" Aurea asked Elena. "None of us are satisfied because we have been disappointed twice in a row. We need to blow off some steam because of this," Aurea pointed out and she looked pissed.

This time, Elena didn't look at Mykel and decided it herself about what they should do next. Mykel smiled because that was what he wanted from her, to be independent, not needing to ask for his advice.

"You guys still want to fight?" Elena asked as she looked in the distance.

"We made the first move, there's no reason to stop now, don't we?" Jeanne said.

Elena scoffed as she nodded her head with understanding, and then she pointed at the sky. Everyone looked at where she was pointing at, and it was Mount Olympus where Nyx was.

"You said that we will give a good impression to Nal, right? Then let's help her get rid of her enemies," Elena said as she turned around. "Or you know, do what Mykel always does. Cripple them until they're no longer our concern," Elena added as she smirked and looked at Mykel.

"Now you have learned something from Mykel. We are proud of you, Elena," Aurea said as she chuckled mischievously. "Lead the way, leader. We can sense there are so many powerful beings gathering there right now. Let's just hope it won't be another letdown," Aurea continued.

Everyone chuckled and nodded in agreement.
