Chapter 29: Chapter 28
"You seem to be doing well, mister Lupin." Dumbledore said with a smile as he tried to hide how worried he was, something he hadn't had to do in years but one could forgive him for it considering how mister Lupin looked.
"Get to the point Albus." There was practically nothing left of the thin young man from his Hogwarts years and Order of the Phoenix. He had been replaced by a man made out of muscle who stood almost a head taller compared to when Dumbledore had seen him last, his face covered with scars and a constant frown on his face accompanying eyes that were colder than ice. "Is it true that Sirius is actually innocent?"
"...yes. The Ministry is currently keeping it quiet in order to keep the peace but his innocence and the truth about Peter will be made official next week."
"Keeping the peace? Don't you mean running around like headless chickens in order to somehow make this fiasco look like not their fault." The werewolf snorted before chugging down a bottle of beer in practically one gulp. "It's impressive how this dump managed to stay standing with those morons in charge."
"You speak as you haven't been a part of our world for a while." Dumbledore said, his voice low and his eyes narrowed as Remus flashed him a grin that showed his fangs; another sign of how much he seemed to have embraced his werewolf side.
"Heh, I almost missed this whole trying to act mysterious while asking questions shit of yours. ıf you want to ask something then ask it old man." Remus said, making the bartender chuckle at how Dumbledore was being insulted. Which was hypocritical as hell since Aberforth was only three years younger than him.
He had the right to laugh at the question thing though, Dumbledore could at least admit that much.
"Very well, then can you please tell me what you have been doing these last ten years?" He asked with his hands clasped together and his gaze locked onto the werewolf.
"Sure, it started about a month after James and Lily's deaths; when I met..."

"What do you guys think caused that light?"
"You still on about that?" Jonathan said with a roll of his eyes and Violet nodded in support of her friend while giving a deadpan at Hermione. It had been a week since the incident, it was about time she dropped it; even if Violet herself was kind of still interested as well.
"I just find it weird that such a thing happened so close to Hogwarts, and right before professor Quirrel left." Hermione defended herself. "I went through every book in the library about spells that caused huge light effects but none of them matches that light. None of them are supposed to be powerful enough."
"Then you haven't gone through all of those spells." Jonathan deadpanned. "You remember that there is a whole section in the library where you are not allowed to go into, right?" His words at least seemed to make the young bookworm calm down and look down with a contemplative look that stayed on her face till they reached their destination.
"Hey Hagrid." Violet said with a smile as knocked on the door of the wooden hut, which was opened soon and they were greeted by the local gentle giant.
"Violet! It's so good to see you, come on in!" Hagrid invited them in with a huge smile as he opened the door wide. "I haven't seen you since the start of the year! And who are your friends?"
"I'm Hermione."
"I'm Jonathan."
"Jonathan? Ah, you are the boy that had trouble with the Sorting Hat! You should be proud, I think you passed the record for longest sorting in history." Hagrid said with a chuckle as he petted a huge dog that was resting on the floor. "The one who held the record before you was professor Mcgonagall, brilliant witch, so that might say some good things for your future."
"...my sorting took a lot of time too." Violet heard Hermione mutter while looking down, making her look at her... friend(?) with half-lidded eyes; wondering where this desire of her's for compliments were coming?
"Still, I'm happy to see that you got yourself some friends. You looked so intimidating at the start of the year so I was afraid that you wouldn't be having any fun here in Hogwarts, which would be a big waste." The groundskeeper said with a laugh and Violet could feel a smile forming on her face.
She might be somewhat... attached to Jonathan due to him being her first friend in her age but Hagrid had a special place in her heart as the one who introduced her to the world of magic, away from Dursleys. Something that she would never be able to truly repay the man for.
"You should enjoy your time in Hogwarts as much as possible, especially since you will be away to meet with Sirius soon." What?
"Hagrid, who's Sirius?" She asked with a tilt of her head and Hagrid's eyes widened, then he started to sweat visibly.
"...I shouldn't have said that."
