After seeing the quest, I let out a deep sigh. "I knew something like this was coming," I muttered under my breath. Resting for a few minutes, I finally stood up, ready to begin. I slipped into my training suit, a sleek pitch-black outfit tailored for mobility and endurance, and left my room.

As I made my way toward the training grounds, the halls buzzed with activity. Maids and servants bowed respectfully as I passed, though their expressions betrayed the fear they felt toward me. Their reactions no longer fazed me—I paid them no attention and continued walking.

Eventually, I reached the expansive family training grounds. The clang of swords and the grunts of knights in rigorous drills filled the air. I glanced briefly at the knights, many of whom were sparring or practicing their forms, but didn't stop. Ignoring their presence, I walked straight toward the entrance to my private training room.

From the outside, the room appeared modest in size, but stepping inside revealed its true nature. Thanks to the intricate space-expansion runes embedded into its walls, the interior was vast—large enough to rival a football field. The smooth stone floor gleamed under the light of enchanted crystals, and the air carried a faint hum of magic from the runes that maintained the space.

Closing the door behind me, I stood at the center of the room, surveying the space. It was time to begin.

I walked over to the panel beside the door, its smooth surface glowing faintly with runic energy. Placing my hand on it, I navigated the options and selected the training ground configuration. The room around me began to shift and reshape as the runes activated, transforming into a fully equipped training ground. The smooth stone floor gave way to a track, training dummies, and various exercise equipment, all perfectly arranged for a rigorous workout.

I took a moment to admire the transformation before stepping onto the track. Without wasting any more time, I began running. The first few laps were manageable, but it wasn't long before my breaths grew ragged, and my legs started to ache.

"Huff… huff… shit… this body is… fucking weak," I muttered through gritted teeth, cursing the low stamina I'd inherited from Zephyx's body. Despite the burning in my lungs and the heaviness in my limbs, I refused to stop. I pushed myself forward, each step a battle against the weakness that clung to me like a curse.

After what felt like an eternity, Sys's calm voice echoed in my mind. [5 kilometers completed, host.]

I came to a halt, my chest heaving as I tried to catch my breath. Sweat dripped down my face, soaking into the black fabric of my training suit. For a moment, I simply stood there, letting my body recover. The first task was done—but the day's training had only just begun.

After resting for a while to catch my breath, I moved on to the next part of the quest—exercises. I started with push-ups, lowering myself to the ground and bracing for the strain.

The first few were manageable, but as I approached the halfway mark, my arms began to tremble. Each push felt heavier than the last, my muscles screaming in protest. Gritting my teeth, I forced myself to continue. By the time I reached the hundredth push-up, my body felt like it was on fire, but I had done it.

Without pausing for too long, I moved on to the other exercises listed in the quest. Sit-ups came next, then pull-ups, squats, and so on. Each one pushed me closer to my limits, and completing them felt like a battle against my own body.

Finally, after what felt like hours, I sat cross-legged on the ground and began the last task—meditation. Closing my eyes, I focused on my breathing, letting my mind settle as I stayed still for thirty minutes.

When the time was up, a familiar sound chimed in my head. [Ding~ Quest completed. All stats +2.]

As the notification faded, I stood up and stretched. My muscles ached, but there was a strange energy coursing through me. I could feel the difference—a subtle but undeniable increase in my strength, agility, and stamina. For the first time, I felt like I was making progress.

"Sys, show me my status," I commanded.

In response, a translucent screen materialized before me, displaying my updated status:

[Name: Zephyx Everblade / Edgar Neal]

[Title: ???]

[Age: 12]

Strength: 11 (+2)

Intelligence: 17 (+2)

Agility: 12 (+2)

[Average stats before awakening: 10]

[Affinity: Fire , Earth , Wind , Water]

[Talents: Elemental harmony, ???, ???]

[Bloodline: Everblade wrath, ???]

[Physique: ???]

I studied the screen, noting the increases in my stats. A small smirk formed on my lips—at least the effort wasn't wasted.

After catching my breath and allowing my muscles to recover, I decided to call it a day. The ache in my body was a constant reminder of the effort I had put in, but I welcomed it—it meant I was getting stronger.

Leaving the training room, I made my way back through the hallways of the Everblade mansion. The quiet corridors were a stark contrast to the earlier bustle of the training grounds. Each step felt heavier than the last, fatigue slowly setting in.

When I finally reached my room, I pushed the door open and walked inside. Without bothering to change out of my training suit, I collapsed onto the bed, sinking into its soft comfort. For the next half an hour, I simply lay there, letting the exhaustion wash over me.

After resting for a while, I got up and removed my sweat-soaked training suit. Walking into the bathroom, I turned on the shower, letting the cool water wash away the grime and exhaustion of the day.

Once I was clean, I stepped out, dried myself, and changed into a simple black t-shirt and matching black pajama. Feeling refreshed but still drained, I returned to my bed and lay down once again, allowing my body to relax fully.

As I lay there, relaxing, a sudden ting-ting sound interrupted my thoughts. I glanced at the source and remembered, Oh right, this world has modern-tech but medieval vibes. I grabbed my phone and checked the caller ID.

It was Aiden Montgomery, a childhood friend of mine from the neighboring Duke's household—and also a future stepping stone for the protagonist. His name was one I was used to seeing, but the sight of his call brought an automatic groan.

I answered, and before I could even say anything, Aiden's voice came through, full of excitement. "Bro! Did you hear? Next week is the awakening ceremony!"

I sighed, barely fazed. "Yeah, Father told me today."

Aiden, as usual, was unfazed by my lack of enthusiasm. There was a slight pause on his end before he smirked. "After the awakening ceremony, I swear I'm gonna beat your ass once I awaken some crazy powerful talent!"

I couldn't help but smirk as well. "You can try," I replied, leaning back on the bed.

He laughed loudly. "Oh, it's on. I've been waiting to wipe that smug expression on your face, with my own tricks up my sleeve!"

I rolled my eyes. "Right. Anyway, let me know when you've actually learned some real techniques. Until then, I'm not worried about your 'tricks'."

He snorted. "Oh, you'll be eating those words once the ceremony's over. You better be ready to be embarrassed, my friend."

I leaned back, smirking. "We'll see about that, Aiden. We'll see."

Aiden's voice came through with a playful challenge. "You better believe it! Get some rest, 'cause next week's gonna be a blast!"

I gave a half-hearted chuckle. "Yeah, sure. Later, idiot."

He laughed again. "Later, loser!" And with that, the call ended.

I set the phone down, feeling slightly amused by his antics. Despite his constant teasing, I couldn't deny the fact that I looked forward to seeing what this 'awakening ceremony'
