SWNOVELXO Chapter 6: Demon Beast
Crack.
The fist went straight into the body of the third wolf, smashing through its ribs and pushing the broken bones to penetrate the lungs.
The wolf fell to the ground and died after a few struggled breaths.

Zane looked at his fist after he took down the wolf, the shock in his eyes at the fact that he killed it with one punch.
Lucy returned after taking care of the rest. She stared at the wolf's body in front of Zane and smiled.
"You took one down, that's great, master," she said.
"Yeah," he responded, still stunned at how he had managed to kill the wolf.
"Let's keep going, master," she said and led the way. Zane looked at the wolves as he passed; the cuts on their bodies were clean and to very vital organs.
'She must be a high level, there's no doubt about it,' he thought to himself.

In a vast empty void, over two billion humans stood spread across the vast and empty void. There was no light, yet they could all see.
All of them ranged from the ages sixteen to thirty, all the people from different sides of the world that had been pulled into the realm of bloodlines.
Many of them had never even played the game before, yet somehow they had found themselves here. There was no exception between those that had played and those that didn't play the game.
As everyone looked around them in fear and confusion, a bright light suddenly shined like the sun. It was so massive that all of them could see it clearly.
And the light died down slightly and released a woman cloaked in white robes. Her face shined bright, surrounded by a halo.
She floated there, massive and beautiful, yet domineering at the same time.

She spoke, her voice was exactly the same voice they had all heard before they were thrust into this place. She pulled all their attention immediately as she spoke; everyone went silent.
{All of you were brought here because you have been chosen to become players in the realm of bloodlines.
Your only goal is to rise within the realm of bloodlines and reach ascension. You must grow your bloodlines to the peak or die trying.
This is an opportunity beyond what your home deserves, but luck has found you all.}
She suddenly paused what she was saying. She looked from left to right, a look of confusion on her face.
{One is missing.} She muttered. She had gotten the exact number of people that were to be here, there was no way one would be missing from the group; it didn't make sense.
'I'll have to report this to the higher-ups, there is no way for one to go missing just like that,' she thought.
{Your journey in the realm of bloodlines will begin now. Grow, rise, survive, and maybe one day you'll return to your pitiful world of yours.}
After saying that, she vanished. Her words confused the people more, but she didn't stay for any questions.
They all suddenly started vanishing one after the other, until everyone that was there was gone, from there and transferred into the game.

The sun rose, announcing a new day. Zane watched as the light spread, and he couldn't help but detest the sun; the night felt far better for him.
Even with the ring on his finger, he still felt uncomfortable under the sun, but he would have to live with that discomfort.
"Master, we are nearing the mid-regions of the forest. The demon beasts will begin to show from here on out," Lucy said.
"Alright. Can you also not kill the beasts when they come? Take them down but don't kill them; I'll land the finishing blow," he said.
"Yes, master." She replied and faced forward. Her feet kicked a rock, and she went falling flat on the ground.
'How can someone so strong and fast be so clumsy on normal things?' Zane wondered.
Roar.
A loud roar came from the right all of a sudden. Zane turned to see what it was, and he saw a black wolf in the air, its mouth wide open, ready to bite his head off.
Bam.
Lucy came out of nowhere and landed a kick right in the guts of the wolf and sent it flying into a tree.
Zane looked at the wolf and saw that it was a level 6 demon beast black wolf.
The wolf got back on its feet and growled. It charged at Lucy without thinking. Lucy didn't rush at it. She formed a dagger with blood, stepped one leg back, and raised the dagger above her head, ready to throw.
She waited until the wolf leaped toward her, and then she threw the blade so fast it penetrated through the wolf's body and went out from the other side.
The attack was fast and deadly, but she had used so much precision that the wolf didn't die, only suffering enough damage to make sure that it didn't die.
Its body fell to the ground. It began struggling to breathe. Zane walked up to the wolf. He looked at it, trying to see if he could find any pity for the wolf, but just like the tubes that were underground, he couldn't care any less for those wolves.
He grabbed the wolf by its neck, and with one powerful squeeze, he crushed the neck of the wolf.

'It gave double, that's good,' Jake thought. He got up and walked away from the body.
"We should leave..."
Growl.
Lucy was cut short as several growls came around. Over twenty black wolves had surrounded them.
