Curse of the Transformation

Chapter 3: The Call of Blood

On the outskirts of Marrow Bay, where dense forests met the abandoned streets, a small group of survivors hid in an old steel factory. The howling wind battered the rusting metal walls, masking the horrors unfolding outside. Inside, the men huddled in a tight circle, each trying to suppress his fear in his own way—some stared at the ground, others clutched makeshift weapons, while an older man muttered an endless prayer under his breath.

**Jacob**, a former mechanic with broad shoulders and determined eyes, stood before them holding a crumpled map. "We need to move now. If we stay here, we'll end up like the others."

"But where?" one of them asked, his voice filled with despair. "The whole city's cursed. The women out there... they're not human anymore."

Jacob pointed to the map. "I heard about a lab up north, in Teraska City. They were supposedly working on a cure. If we can get there, maybe we'll find something to help us."

But everyone knew the truth: the road to Teraska was impossible. The surrounding forests were teeming with transformed women—nightmarish creatures lurking in the shadows. Hesitation was deadly, but the fear of what lay outside was worse.

---

**Narkos**, miles away from the factory, stood atop a hill overlooking the forest. He wore a long black coat that swayed in the wind, and his dark eyes gleamed under the full moon. Beside him stood a half-transformed woman. Her appearance was grotesque—razor-sharp claws and a scarred face—but unlike the others, she was fully under Narkos's control, his obedient servant.

"Do you smell that?" Narkos asked, his voice calm and mocking.

The woman nodded, sniffing the air like a predator. "Blood... close."

Narkos smirked, his smile as cold as ice. "Good. Let's pay our friends at the factory a visit. It's time to play."

---

Inside the factory, the men were preparing to move. Jacob gathered everyone around him, issuing strict instructions: "We move as a team. No one strays from the group. If we encounter them…" He paused, taking a deep breath. "Don't think. Hit. Or run."

But they never got the chance to take their first step. A low, chilling laugh echoed from outside.

"What was that?" one of the men whispered, his voice barely audible.

The sound came again, louder this time and much closer. It was a strange, haunting laugh, filled with mockery and menace. Suddenly, the factory's metal doors burst open with a deafening crash, as if a storm had forced its way inside. Standing there in the darkness was **Narkos**, his expression indifferent, as if the chaos around him was nothing more than a comedy.

"Good evening, gentlemen," he said in a voice that was both calm and terrifyingly heavy.

Jacob quickly raised his rifle, aiming at the stranger's chest. "Who are you?!"

Narkos ignored the weapon, stepping forward slowly. "A good question. But the better question is: why didn't you run when you had the chance?"

Before Jacob could respond, the half-transformed woman emerged from the shadows behind Narkos. She glared at the men like they were a prepared feast. Her glowing eyes made some of them step back in fear.

"If you're looking for a cure…" Narkos continued, waving a hand dismissively, "don't waste your time. There is no cure. There's only evolution. And what's happening now…" He paused, locking eyes with each man. "...is the inevitable future."

With a sudden, guttural growl, the woman lunged at the nearest man. His screams tore through the air but didn't last long. Blood sprayed across the factory walls, and panic erupted.

Jacob, desperate to save whoever he could, fired his rifle at the creature. The bullets tore through her body, but she didn't stop. With a single swipe, she sent him crashing into the wall.

Amid the carnage, Narkos stood motionless, observing the chaos with a cold smile. "I see potential here. Perhaps I'll let some of you live. We'll see."

---

This part ends in a bloody, chaotic scene, leaving the men with two choices: fight to the death or attempt to flee from the clutches of Narkos and his creatures.

> **How will the survivors confront this new hell? Can they escape the beasts of the night and the man who toys with their lives like puppets?**
