Chapter 1: Act I: The Beginning(Updated)
"Greetings,," said a voice so ancient that its mere sound caused the nothingness around it to tremble.
"You do not know me, and that is as it should be, for the stories you are about to hear are not about me, but about other beings and people with whom you may have much in common—or nothing at all," the voice said, devoid of emotion, yet with a certainty that conveyed it was not part of the tales to be told.
"Perhaps you ponder my existence as the narrator speaks to you, but it matters not, for every story you will hear is not about me," it declared with conviction in its timeless tone.
"Well then, let us begin."
**"In the beginning, there was nothing—only me.
I wondered who and what I was.
I thought and thought...
Eons or eras might have passed.
But it didn't matter, for where I existed, there was no time or space.
This absence of space and time—I called it 'nothingness.'
But I thought, it cannot remain this way. I desired to create something.
But what?
I pondered and pondered until an idea struck me: I would create a place.
But what kind of place would it be?
A place where I could exist? Where I wouldn't be alone?
I thought and thought again.
And then I decided that this place would be a dimension.
But then, once more, I realized that it needed a name.
I gave it a name: the Omniverse.
And I created it.
But it was empty.
So empty.
It had nothing... almost like the nothingness itself.
Yet I realized it could not remain empty.
For if it were, it would cease to exist.
So I thought and thought once more.
And then I found a solution:
I would create laws by which it could persist eternally within the void.
But to do so, these laws could not exist chaotically.
For if they did, it might lead to destabilization.
Thus, I created energy—energy that could inscribe these laws, stabilize them, and strengthen them.
But to do this, I needed a place where the energy and laws could reside and stabilize the Omniverse.
I found such a place and called it the Core of the Omniverse.
Here, they would exist, and their power would spread throughout the Omniverse.
After creating the energy and the Core, I began to create the laws.
Laws upon which this space could be upheld.
I created them.
The first and most fundamental.
These laws would uphold the space I had created.
They are Infinity, Dimension, Void, Records, Matter, Beginning and End, and Destiny.
The first of these I created was Infinity, designed to establish the infinite dimension and its many aspects.
The second was Dimension, tasked with the stabilization and creation of sub-dimensions.
The third was Void, meant to ensure an almost absolute emptiness through which beings encountering it would be trapped, imprisoned within their own helplessness.
But I realized that since I created the law of Void, and its purpose was to imprison...
I needed to create a space for it.
I called this space Void, like the law itself.
Void is a place parallel to the Omniverse; one could call them twins, but with entirely different purposes.
The fourth law was Records, responsible for documenting and noting everything within the Omniverse, record a history that could be altered by those who accessed this law.
The fifth was Matter, the foundation of all creation. Without it, material concepts—essential for life—could not exist.
The sixth were Beginning and End, the alpha and omega of all things, stabilizing everything. Without them, life could not exist.
The seventh and final was Destiny, something that provides a path for every being and gives them purpose.
I created them.
And I saw that from these laws, beings would emerge.
Thinking and feeling beings.
They would be the first living entities in the Omniverse.
They would be... but not yet.
For this to happen, these laws must continue to develop.
To speak truthfully... I could accelerate this process and give them the knowledge they require.
But I will not.
For I wish to witness their growth.
I want to see what they will become and how their evolution will shape the Omniverse.
But eons will pass before that comes to be."**
