Collecting Titles In The Apocalypse

Dante didn't know what to say. His mind could not come up with a better response and it seemed all the words stuck in his throat. At this moment, he felt something unbelievable. Despite losing consciousness and exhausting himself last night, he felt so comfortable at this moment.

In the end, he could only force a laugh.

Adjusting her eyeglasses, she said, "They are both appealing, huh? As expected of the offspring coming from the top families," Manager Sai commented upon seeing their files with a 2x2 photo attached to it.

"And… As they were from the top families, they were trained by their respective families from a tender age, so they're quite capable in combat," Miss Kawano added to which Manager Sai nodded in agreement.

"I see."

Entering her office, they noticed two figures inside. Two pretty young ladies were in front of Manager Sai.

With a smile, she looked at them and said, "Melody Jo and Nina Brawn, congratulations to both of you. From now on, you're officially Agent Warriors."

"We're very thankful to you, Manager Sai!" The two young ladies replied in unison. Their voices carried dignity and calmness, which one would expect of the people from the noble families, their demeanor was very calculated.

Both wore a light smile on their faces but deep inside they were ecstatic. Being an Agent Warrior was something you could be proud of. It was a great honor for both of them.

Most of the ordinary citizens in the country weren't aware of the danger brought by the foreign creatures, but those in the top families were well aware of it.

To become an Agent Warrior could benefit them greatly. Not only in popularity but also in power, connection, and resources.

Manager Sai looked at the file that Nina chose. "I see. You've got a good eye, Nina. That's Yolo Shinha. He's from the ancient family of swordsmen." 

Melody also read the file in her hand. But every second she read on it, the frown on her face grew worse and worse.

The person in the file in her hand is named Dante Kimetsu. The file stated that he was a failed subject in a force awakening experiment. It seemed like he didn't have any combat skills either.

"Ohohoho!"

Suddenly, she heard a guffaw from her side. She didn't need to glance to know who it was coming from.

"It's a pity for you, Melody! You've got a trash sidekick!" Nina laughed.

Melody gnashed her teeth. "Damn you, Nina," she mumbled in a barely audible voice.

At this moment, Dante found himself lying in the park, panting heavily while drenched in sweat. He ran like a madman and didn't realize he arrived there.

The shiny orb said that if he failed to complete the mission, his heart would stop functioning.

His mission was to acquire the title "Mad Runner" by running 10 kilometers in a very short time.
