Chapter 16: Whispers in the Halls

The week after their first classes passed swiftly, as Hogwarts' rhythm settled into  Luna's bones. She'd rise early, her internal clock calibrated like a quiet warrior. Before sunrise, she'd be out in the courtyard near the Greenhouses, jogging, stretching, and gradually conditioning her small body. Her breath formed puffs of mist in the morning air, her magical core pulsating in sync with her movements.

After breakfast, and before her first class, she'd visit the Hogwarts Library, selecting books far beyond her year level—deep rune studies, magical theory treatises, and case studies from dueling masters. Madam Pince gave her wary glances, but never stopped her.

During lessons, Luna observed attentively but rarely spoke, instead cataloging each spell, movement, and theory the professors revealed. She tracked them all mentally, but also within her Detection System, which had become more active as the castle's ambient magic recharged it.
