Lucia scrambled forward once more, managing another couple steps before the presence vanished from her lightless realm.

Time had passed, and she had regained her calm.

She was eternal. She had overcome hardship in the past, and she would do so again in the future.

She merely needed to remain patient.

"Fuck!" Lucia screamed, stomping her foot against the ground. The presence had appeared once more, but she'd only made it another two steps before it disappeared from her senses.

She was so close, yet so far.
