Capone: Fortress of Ambition

Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Championship Match

Time flew by, and two days passed. The final match of the martial arts tournament, the championship, had finally arrived.

Due to the numerous spectator casualties caused by the ring battles two days prior, the Bisacchi family decided to set up the stage for this championship match at the garbage dump on the west side of Black Fist Island. Furthermore, they would broadcast the championship live via Video Den Den Mushi.

Consequently, the championship match was delayed by another two days.

Nearly all the residents of Black Fist Island were gathered to watch this championship match. In fact, almost the entire island's population had participated in the betting organized by the Bisacchi family.

Among the four contestants, Undefeated Boxing King Lisen had the highest support; most believed he would be the ultimate champion.

Surprisingly, ranked second was Bege, who hadn't even made a move in the ring battles.

His high odds were mainly thanks to Moria. Moria had single-handedly eliminated formidable opponents like Heavy Blade King and others, stunning everyone. As Moria's captain, Bege consequently received an extremely high level of support.

In third place was Demon Bull King Bisacchi Louis, while Marco the Phoenix had the lowest odds of winning.

Bege had absolute confidence in himself, so he also participated in the betting, placing a massive wager of 500 million Berries. If he ultimately won the championship, he stood to win over one to one point two billion Berries in prize money.

The garbage dump had long since been leveled and a large, flat ring constructed. The area around the ring was bustling with staff, nervously setting up the site and handling the live broadcast arrangements.

A circular spectator stand had also been built near the ring. Those able to watch the match from here were mostly daring nobles and powerful individuals.

To ensure the safety of these nobles, the Bisacchi family deployed their elite officers, dispersing them throughout the spectator stands. If any danger arose, these officers would protect the nobles at all costs.

In the four directions of the ring, four large, imposing stone chairs were set, corresponding to the four participants of the championship match.

At this time, all four stone chairs were occupied; the contestants had all arrived.

Lisen was resting with his eyes closed. Bisacchi Louis held a book, reading quietly. Marco, with his restless personality, sat cross-legged on his chair, leisurely sipping an unknown beverage from a bottle, occasionally chatting with Jozu beside him.

Bege, meanwhile, puffed on a cigar, leaning back in his chair, his head tilted up towards the sky, gazing at something unknown.

In the city square of Black Fist Island, a giant screen was live-streaming the current situation at the ring. The video feed occasionally switched to the faces of the four contestants. Each switch elicited countless cheers, while the on-site announcer introduced the contestants' information in an impassioned tone.

With a loud clang, the sound of a massive bronze bell echoed in all directions. Bege and the others simultaneously looked towards the ring.

"Ladies and gentlemen, next, please welcome the patriarch of the Bisacchi family, Bisacchi Bourne!" The announcer was extremely excited, his voice almost a roar.

Bege saw a robust old man with silver-white hair walk onto the ring and stand in the center. Everyone present began to applaud, while the atmosphere in the city square grew even more fervent, cheers and applause thundering to the heavens.

Bege also watched with interest this legendary figure who had built the Bisacchi family step by step to its current prominence.

Bisacchi Bourne made a placating gesture with his hand, and as if by magic, both the live audience and those in the city square quieted down, awaiting Bisacchi Bourne's speech.

In his right hand, he held a small box. He gently opened it, revealing a pineapple-shaped Devil Fruit inside, adorned with strange patterns resembling dark grey feathers.

At this moment, everyone's eyes grew fervent.

Needless to say, this was the ultimate prize for this championship match: the Ancient Zoan, Dragon-Eating Giant Eagle Fruit.

"Damn it! Losing the Ancient Zoan fruit… I won't be able to face the Captain when I get back!" Jack, covered in bandages, punched the ground, creating a large crater and startling a nearby noble. But seeing Jack's furious face, the noble didn't dare complain and could only shuffle aside.

Taku's expression was also grim. His gaze was mostly fixed on Bege; he had already developed a paranoid resentment towards him.

Bisacchi Bourne looked around at the four contestants and let out a hearty laugh. "Gentlemen, I won't waste words. This rare, flight-capable Ancient Zoan Dragon-Eating Giant Eagle Fruit is the reward for the champion. So, go and fight for it! It shall be the victor's laurel!"

Bisacchi Bourne closed the box and, with a leap, landed in his designated viewing seat.

At this time, the announcer's impassioned voice rang out.

"Let us welcome the four strongest contenders from the ring battles to the stage!"

Bege and the other three leaped onto the ring simultaneously, taking their positions in the four corners.

"The championship match will also be a free-for-all battle, but the rules have changed. This is not a ring elimination match; there are no rules for being knocked out of the ring. Only the last person standing can claim the final championship!"

The Bisacchi family had established this rule to avoid a situation like Moria winning by knocking everyone out of the ring with a single punch.

"Well then, now, the championship match… begins!" The announcer roared, declaring the start of the competition.

Bege and Lisen's eyes met, intense fighting spirit erupting from both simultaneously.

The first to move was Bisacchi Louis. He instantly charged Marco. Among the four present, Marco's strength was likely the weakest, so he intended to eliminate Marco first, then team up with Lisen to defeat Bege, ensuring the final championship belonged to the Bisacchi family.

Marco's hands transformed into azure flame wings, and he engaged Bisacchi Louis in battle. Bisacchi Louis was an Ox-Ox Fruit user, possessing immense strength. Moreover, his fists were coated with Armament Haki with every strike, specifically countering Marco's Phoenix Devil Fruit.

Marco's physical combat skills were also considerable, having been personally trained by Whitebeard, after all. Marco's wings danced, his feet also hardened with Armament Haki. He swooped down from the air, his astonishing kicks clashing fiercely with Bisacchi Louis, making it difficult to determine a victor between them.

Bege, puffing on his cigar, reached out and arrogantly beckoned at Lisen with a hooked finger.

"Quite the young king, still unaware of the immensity of heaven and earth," Lisen's gaze turned cold, and waves of imposing presence emanated from his body.

In a flash, Lisen charged forward. In an instant, he appeared before Bege, his massive fist aimed at Bege's head.

Bege grinned, also throwing a lightning-fast punch. Their fists collided. Instantly, black lightning appeared around their fists. With the two of them at the center, a storm surged outwards, sweeping in all directions.

Bege directly unleashed his Conqueror's Haki. Streams of blood-red aura billowed out, the brutal and ferocious Conqueror's presence assaulting Lisen.

Lisen's pupils constricted, his face changing abruptly. The aura around him instantly dimmed; the impact of the Conqueror's Haki on him was quite apparent.

Seeing Bege's smile, Lisen grew enraged. He clenched his left fist, which glowed with black Armament, and smashed it viciously towards Bege.

Bege threw a punch to block in return. The two fists collided again, like meteorites striking, the booming sound shaking the sky. An even more violent shockwave rolled from the ring towards the nearby spectator stands.

Those wealthy nobles turned pale with fright.
