Chapter 125: Chapter 125: King Punch
Riki silently took the cannon barrel from his waist and attached it to his arm. The entire barrel quickly turned red-hot, becoming extremely scorching, with flames sputtering from within.
Riki took a deep breath, his stomach distending wildly. His skin began to turn red, and high-pressure steam snorted from his nostrils.
Lisen had gathered information on Riki beforehand and knew some of his techniques. His expression turned solemn, and his body was swiftly covered in Armament Haki, making him look as if he were forged from jet-black refined iron, giving off an impression of indestructibility.
"To be able to extend Armament Haki over the entire body… this guy is a real monster," Bege's brow furrowed. In the original story, he had only ever seen Vergo, a top officer of Doflamingo's family, achieve such a feat.
Of course, covering the entire body with Haki tended to disperse it, reducing the Haki's density per unit area. In terms of hardness, it was actually inferior to localized hardening.
But this also demonstrated the intensity of Lisen's Armament Haki.
High-pressure air jets shot from Riki's feet, and he launched himself forward like a rocket. His right fist, equipped with the searing cannon barrel, slammed directly towards Lisen.
In the instant of approach, the cannon barrel unleashed a high-temperature, high-pressure pillar of fire.
Lisen, surprisingly, did not retreat. He spread his feet, thrust his hands forward, and actually attempted to block the high-pressure fire pillar.
The high-pressure fire pillar directly struck Lisen's blackened hands. The terrifying impact sent Lisen staggering back rapidly.
Lisen immediately stomped his feet on the ground. With each step, the ring trembled violently, and countless cracks spread out from under his feet.
The Armament Haki on his body was fading, flowing like water towards his hands. He had underestimated the impact force of the high-pressure fire pillar and had to shift from full-body armament to arming only his hands. The massive influx of Armament Haki gave him the confidence to withstand the scorching pillar of fire.
Riki desperately ejected the high-pressure fire pillar, pushing Lisen backward, intending to force him directly off the ring. Everyone watched the stage with bated breath.
Lisen drew closer and closer to the edge of the ring, just a hair's breadth away from falling off.
Riki couldn't help but increase his power, but Lisen suddenly roared, his feet instantly digging into the hard stone ring. His body became as steady as Mount Tai, unyielding against the fire pillar's assault, not retreating an inch.
Meanwhile, the high-pressure air within Riki was rapidly depleting, and the fire pillar quickly dissipated. He hurriedly inhaled, trying to generate more high-pressure air.
At this moment, Lisen moved. His figure lunged forward, and the ring floor shattered violently beneath him as he shot towards Riki like a missile.
"Take my blade!" Weevil charged out from behind Riki, his bisento slashing towards Lisen without hesitation.
Lisen caught the bisento with a single hand and kicked Weevil in the stomach. With a boom, Weevil was sent flying like a cannonball, crashing into the spectator stands and injuring several people in the process.
Hank simultaneously rushed Lisen. Lisen punched Hank's dagger, shattering it, and then kicked Hank off the ring.
Riki raised his hand again, unleashing another astonishing Cremation Cannon, the high-pressure fire pillar shooting straight for Lisen's head.
Lisen raised a single hand, blocking the high-pressure fire pillar. But this time, he only retreated two steps before holding his ground.
"How is that possible?" Riki's eyes widened, unable to believe Lisen could so easily block his Cremation Cannon.
"You only had one chance to beat me. Unfortunately, you didn't succeed. From now on, you won't get another," Lisen grinned. The moment the high-pressure fire pillar vanished, Lisen charged Riki.
High-pressure air jetted from Riki's body, rapidly pushing him away.
However, just as he turned his head, a rugged face had already appeared before his eyes.
He hurriedly tried to raise his hand to blast out high-pressure air, but Lisen was faster, quickly clamping down on Riki's hand. Then, with a single punch, he knocked Riki off the ring. Riki crashed through the wall, fell down, and spat out a mouthful of blood, looking up at Lisen on the ring in disbelief.
"We have a winner! The Undefeated Boxing King has ultimately achieved victory! He has overwhelmed High-Pressure Cannon Riki with absolute power to claim the winning spot for Ring One! Let's congratulate the Undefeated Boxing King!" The announcer declared the result with passionate excitement.
"Undefeated Boxing King! Undefeated Boxing King! Undefeated Boxing King!"
Once again, a unified chant of Lisen's name rose from the spectator stands. Lisen opened his arms, looking around at everyone, proving his strength once more. His legend continued.
"Demon Dragon, it seems your officers aren't all that great, huh?" Taku seized the opportunity to mock Bege.
"Trash, what the hell do you know?" Before Bege could speak, Jack began to furiously curse Taku. He too had faced Riki's Cremation Cannon on Honeydew Island and naturally knew its power.
"You! Jack, are you looking to die?!" Taku couldn't maintain his composure and practically roared.
"Like I'd be afraid of you," Jack snorted disdainfully, not giving Taku a shred of respect.
Bege completely ignored their squabble, spat out his cigar, took out a new one, and lit it, his expression somewhat grave.
"This Bisacchi family really has some tricks up their sleeve. This martial arts tournament isn't going to be that simple," Moria said in a low voice.
"Now this is interesting. If it were too easy, it would be incredibly dull," Bege blew out a smoke ring, a fleeting battle intent flashing in his eyes.
Soon, the matches on the second ring began. The announcer, as before, first praised all the famous and powerful contestants.
The main attractions of this match were Marco the Phoenix and the defending champion of Ring Two, King of Combat—Holyfield.
The match descended into a chaotic brawl right from the start. The most dazzling performers were King of Combat Holyfield and Marco. Holyfield was proficient in various fighting techniques and could take down opponents with incredible speed. Marco, wreathed in blue flames, also possessed astonishing physical abilities. The two of them quickly cleared out most of the contestants. The ring, which had started with over a hundred people, was rapidly reduced to just over a dozen. And Bege's men, for the most part, hadn't been eliminated; they were all fighting quite well.
"Who's that guy? Why has he been warming up at the edge of the ring this whole time?" Moria noticed a strange figure. It was a tall young man wearing boxing gloves, shadowboxing by himself at the ring's edge. If someone attacked him, he wouldn't retaliate but would swiftly evade, seemingly having no intention to fight at all.
Bege, seeing his peculiar behavior, immediately thought of his identity.
"He should be Prince Elizabello of the Prodence Kingdom. It's said the royal family of the Prodence Kingdom possesses a secret technique that allows them to accumulate power through warming up, pushing their muscular strength to its limit, and then delivering an unimaginably heavy punch at high speed. This punch is known as the 'King Punch.'
"This Prince Elizabello is naturally physically strong. The King Punch he delivers is said to be capable of instantly destroying a fortress with a single blow. It's claimed that even pirates as strong as an Overlord of the sea would be killed on the spot if hit." Bege said with considerable interest.
"Damn, is it really that terrifying?" Moria was also taken aback.
"However, this King Punch has a fatal flaw. It requires an hour of warm-up exercise before each punch can be thrown. If the time is shorter, the power of the King Punch will be significantly reduced."
"An hour-long warm-up… that really is a fatal flaw. If I were his opponent, he'd die a few hundred times before he could even throw that punch," Moria sneered mockingly.
