"You can ask me in the afterlife." With a wave of her hand, Queen Medusa released a radiant seven-colored energy beam that shot toward Xiao Yan with tremendous force. Though it seemed casual, the power it carried far exceeded even Mobaas's full-force attack.

Xiao Yan didn't dare take it head-on. With a swift flap of his Dou Qi wings, he narrowly dodged the beam. Yet just as he evaded it, he sensed a gust of wind behind him. Without looking back, he spun the Heavy Xuan Ruler and smashed it backward.

Boom!

The blackened ruler clashed with a hand as pale as jade. An immense shockwave erupted from their contact point. Within mere seconds of clashing, Xiao Yan's figure was blown backward, clearly at a disadvantage in raw power alone. Without using any Dou Techniques, he couldn't match Queen Medusa head-on.

"Your weapon's tougher than it looks." Queen Medusa gave the fire-wrapped Heavy Xuan Ruler a glance of surprise. Although she had sent Xiao Yan flying, her own palm had been slightly numbed from the impact. Clearly, this wasn't an ordinary weapon.

Combined with his superior physique and techniques, he could stand toe-to-toe with ordinary Dou Huangs. But against someone like Queen Medusa—at the pinnacle of the Dou Huang rank—there was still a significant gap.

"A strength-boosting secret art? Too bad tricks like that won't save your life." Queen Medusa thrust her rainbow sword forward, targeting Xiao Yan's vital points. Yet despite the blistering speed of her attack—swift enough to fell most Dou Huangs—it was parried by the heavy ruler like a solid shield. Sparks scattered through the air as the weapons clashed.

Realizing the sneak attack had failed, Queen Medusa immediately altered her assault. Her sword trembled, and in an instant, it multiplied into countless duplicates, forming a rain of blades that blotted out the sky and poured down toward Xiao Yan.

Xiao Yan's brow furrowed as he stomped the ground, activating the Flowing Flame Cloud Steps. He darted nimbly between the countless blades, weaving through them all. But what startled him was that the missed blades didn't simply vanish—they turned and pursued him again. These rainbow swords could track their target!

'So dodging's no use… Looks like I'll have to meet them head-on.' Xiao Yan quickly formulated a counter. With a deep breath, he opened his mouth and released a thunderous lion's roar.

Roar!

The sky trembled as a thunderclap-like sound shook the air. The Furious Lion Roar spread out in waves, momentarily stunning the energy swords and even causing Queen Medusa herself to falter.

That single instant was all Xiao Yan needed.

"Flame-Splitting Tsunami!" With a low shout echoing through his heart, Xiao Yan raised the ruler and cleaved through the air. A massive arc of purple-black flame—dozens of meters long—erupted from the Heavy Xuan Ruler, vaporizing the surrounding swords in a single blow. The torrent didn't stop there—it continued, roaring toward Queen Medusa herself.
