Chapter 17: Clash Of Elementals

The stage trembled beneath the weight of raw power.

Saka moved first, launching a wave of floating ice spikes toward Aaron with a snap of his fingers.

But Aaron was faster.

He blurred across the stage with rapid-speed footwork, narrowly dodging each spike. In a flash, he slammed his wand into the ground. A thick earth cage erupted around Saka, locking him in from all sides.

Aaron raised a hand, igniting fire spells inside the cage.

But Saka remained calm.

Blue mist gathered around him as he channeled ice energy, neutralizing the flames. With a twist of his wand, it morphed into a shimmering ice sword. He jumped, spinning midair, and unleashed a spiral slash—shattering the earth cage into chunks of stone.

Aaron had barely recovered when Saka fired off a triple-layered fire spell.

Boom!

Aaron raised an array shield, but the force shattered it and sent him crashing across the arena floor.

Saka raised two fingers and spun them in the air. In a flash of light, a legendary staff appeared in his hand—its tip adorned with a glowing blue crystal.

Aaron grunted and spun his wand. A whirlwind surged from the ground, transforming into a tornado, pulling Saka toward it.

Saka slammed his staff into the floor.

BOOM!

A burst of frost exploded outward, canceling the tornado.

But Aaron was ready—he summoned a flurry of earth spikes, bursting from beneath Saka's feet and knocking him off balance. Aaron took the opening, transforming his wand into a sword glowing with brown run

"Earth—Unwavering!" he shouted.

A brown energy slash blasted toward Saka, smashing him into a pillar Aaron had conjured behind him. The impact left him bleeding, staggering.

But Saka wasn't done.

He gritted his teeth, raised his staff, and flooded it with ice energy. At the same time, Aaron's blade glowed again with earth mana. They charged.

When staff and sword collided, a white explosion lit up the arena—so bright that the crowd shielded their eyes. Both boys were blasted away, coughing up blood.

Aaron, breathing heavily, roared and activated his endless earth array. A barrage of earth spikes surged toward Saka.

Saka, blood dripping from his lip, slammed his staff down, erecting an ice wall. The spikes clashed against it with thunderous force, but the wall held.

"Why not give up, weakling?" Aaron growled.

Saka smirked, "No way. Not a chance."

He whispered a long incantation. His eyes turned icy blue, and the very floor began to freeze. Snow fell from the sky. The temperature dropped. The atmosphere thickened.

A divine chill swept through the arena—as if an ice god had descended.

Aaron's expression tightened. "Pretty eyes," he said with a grin. Then he whispered his own incantation, and his eyes glowed deep brown. The ground beneath him rumbled with power.

Their final clash erupted.

Saka summoned a massive storm of ice, spikes, and freezing mist. Aaron responded with pure earth fury—stone tendrils, boulders, and quake energy surging forward.

When the two powers met…

BOOOOOOM!!

The arena shook violently.

Ice began freezing through Aaron's earth constructs, overpowering him. A final blast of frost threw him across the stage, bloodied and unconscious.

Silence.

Then, the formless figure rose again.

"Winner: Saka."

The crowd stood and erupted into cheers.

Saka approached Aaron, extending a hand. The two boys—both exhausted and bruised—shared a brief laugh and shook hands as they exited the stage.
