Bizarre Honkai, a Wife-Chasing Crematorium

Chapter 90: New Diary Page

The crimson moonlight bathed the grass, mingling with the spreading pool of blood. The girl's pale skin dissolved into the crimson-stained earth.

The wind rustled through "Li Mo's" blood-soaked white hair. Only the sickening sound of chewing broke the silence. Even the grass seemed to cower in fear.

Kiana, consumed by the Bizzare Kiana's jealous rage, was gone.

"Li Mo," his crimson eyes blazing with a malevolent golden light, glared at the world, a silent promise of vengeance. The clouds tried to hide the blood moon, but its crimson light pierced through, bathing the world in an unsettling glow.

A tremor shook the earth, a brief but intense shudder felt across the globe.

"What was that? An earthquake?"

"Yeah, that was weird."

The internet buzzed with speculation, people from different countries reporting the simultaneous tremors.

The world's will was afraid. It had tried to stop him, but fate had brought him here.

"Li Mo" walked towards the cabin, unopposed, and opened the door.

On the table lay a few lavender-scented diary pages. In a small cage, a decaying heart, kept alive by Bizarre energy, pulsed weakly.

"Li Mo" entered the cage, picked up the heart, and swallowed it whole.

The world outside changed. Supermarkets became empty ruins, roads deserted, buildings crumbling, cities silent, devoid of human life, as if a century had passed in an instant.

The world's will, consumed by the Bizzare Kiana, had lost its grip on reality. The illusion shattered, revealing the true, desolate state of the old world.

The Bizzare Kiana's eyes, now dull and lifeless, stared at her left hand, its delicate, almost childlike appearance a stark contrast to the monstrous form she now inhabited.

In the long silence, the hand's ownership was repeatedly questioned, shifting between Raiden Mei and Li Mo, a flicker of uncertainty in the Bizarre's corrupted mind.

The blood moon rose higher in the sky, visible through the open window.

The Bizzare Kiana tentatively bit into her left wrist, tasting the blood. The familiar metallic tang seemed to quell her destructive urges.

The world outside crumbled, but the cabin remained untouched, a monument to decay and despair, whispering tales of a dark past.

The icy chill within her receded, her blood, though not quite human, losing its Bizarre coldness. Except for her left hand.

The world outside fell silent, lifeless, its false, selfish existence reduced to rubble, its future mirroring its murdered past.

"..."

"What… what did I do?"

Li Mo's consciousness returned, his eyes scanning the familiar cabin. Like before, but the cage was empty, only a pool of blood remaining.

"Kiana… she stopped me from entering the cabin. The world's last defense. Then… I lost consciousness."

"Something's wrong with me. Something I can't see."

He walked to the window, looking out at the spot where he'd last been conscious. He couldn't see anything clearly.

He used the Herrscher of Reason's power to illuminate the area.

Bloodstains on the grass, uprooted plants, claw marks on a tree trunk, signs of a desperate struggle. Bits of flesh, more blood, and… white hair.

"Dead…?" He felt a pang of sadness, an echo of human emotion. But he was beyond such feelings now. Only his core directive remained.

He'd cared for every version of Kiana he'd met, a primal instinct he couldn't explain.

This Kiana, this illusion, had fought back, but she'd been powerless, her abilities suppressed. She'd clawed at the earth, clung to the tree, desperate to escape.

The discarded red and white cloak… the Herrscher of Flamescion's armor…

He thought of her. The uncontainable, unstoppable Bizarre entity: Kiana Kaslana.

"Was it her? The Bizzare Kiana…?" He doubted it. She wouldn't leave so easily. And she needed a catalyst: moonlight, love, a connection to the past. He hadn't summoned her.

He hadn't lost his entire memory. He remembered the encounter with the fake Kiana, her seductive whispers, the overwhelming urge…

"No. I overlooked something. The Bizzare Kiana didn't appear in her true form. I lost consciousness, woke up in the cabin, and… ate something." He wiped the dried blood from his lips.

"She took control while I was… with the fake Kiana. She killed the fake Kiana, then brought me here, to consume… something. Until the moonlight shifted."

"Not a coordinate, but a medium. Inside me."

"But it's not enough to trigger her arrival. I was under the moonlight earlier. There's another condition."

And the fact that she'd vanished after consuming something in the cabin… the trigger was incomplete. Her actions were simple, almost mechanical: kill Kiana, consume something, leave.

He entered the cabin, illuminating it with the Herrscher's power.

On the table, a few diary pages caught his eye.

"More diary entries. Like the ones in the infirmary at St. Freya?" He approached cautiously, his gun at the ready. He didn't want to face another Bizzare Kiana.

He picked up the pages. A lavender scent. Fresh, floral…

The handwriting was neat, elegant, Japanese script, unlike Kiana's messy scrawl. Clearly written by a girl, though he couldn't be certain.

"Another diary. Like the laptop's second page, but different." His laptop's second page was far more detailed.

[Today is my fifth birthday. Dad took me to his private hospital.]

[They said I'm sick, very sick. I need treatment. Dad said everything will be alright. The fainting spells are just low blood sugar…]

[Everyone told me to listen to the doctors. They told me to sit by the window and relax.]

[A quiet boy was sleeping in the next bed. Dad said he's my brother.]

[He's very quiet. The doctors said he's always been here. Why? Why doesn't Dad take him home? To the park? To school?]

[That night, I felt sleepy… I woke up the next day, and the doctors said I need to stay for a week.]

[—2004.4.13]

"A private hospital… I saw it. Advanced equipment, experimental procedures… even human experimentation."

"So this is Mei's diary. April 13, 2004. Her fifth birthday."

"And the 'brother'… 'always been here'… that's suspicious."

"Ryoma wouldn't take her to a private hospital for no reason. He was probably trying to suppress her Honkai Stigmata."

"The sleepiness… they drugged her. Surgery while she was unconscious."

"The 'brother'… a recent addition. Not blood-related."
