Birth Of The Crafts-God

Chapter 176: New Vestiges

The evening arrived soon and the conference kicked off. It began with the host from the Legacy Crafts dealership addressing some of the issues faced by the store as regards to its customers. This included when the current SS vestiges would officially be on sale for those on the waitlist —which was decided to be two days from then— and also when the next order would come in.

Surprisingly, the host had advised those who couldn't afford to wait to head to the Seven Sparks Forge to get theirs. This action caught Lucas off-guard, and it made him quite impressed by the Legacy Crafts dealership executives.

While to an outsider, it may seem as if the dealership was sending off its customers, but this wasn't so. According to the original deal, the dealership would handle transactions and trades outside of Baylands City. Recently, they had bypassed this by offering delivery services for their products into Baylands City. Although Lucas had not said anything, they felt that it was somewhat betraying on their side.

Initially, the executives planned to do nothing about it. But after Lucas showed them the new vestige models, they decided to cut off this profit route in exchange for a stronger connection with Lucas. It was obvious that they were the ones who needed him, and not the other way around.

The current Lucas wasn't the same young man they had met months ago, who was unknown to the public. With just a simple statement, he could have other dealerships and companies rushing to partner up with him while offering more lucrative deals. As such, the executives woke up to reality and realised that it was better to remain on Lucas' good side, especially with his ability to create new market disruptive innovations.

In truth though, their action of advertising Lucas' store wouldn't do much. It wasn't like those who patronised the Legacy Crafts dealership didn't know that the SS vestiges were sourced from Seven Sparks Forge. They had simply chosen to purchase from the Legacy Crafts dealership even though there was an added cost together with a delivery fee, as it was shipped from out of the city.

As such, even with the announcement made by the Legacy Crafts dealership, much might not change afterwards. The only way things would turn around was if the dealership was to ban the delivery of the SS vestiges into Baylands city, but they weren't willing to go that far.

Apart from the previously stated announcements, the host addressed a couple other issues and made a few announcements on their other products.

Just as people were about to begin cursing on the channel, the host finally went to the main focus of the event; the new vestiges.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's my utmost honour to present to you all, our new products from the exceptional hands of the Seven Sparks Forge vestige-smith."

"Did he say products? As in, more than one?"

Some immediately caught on to the grammar and began to spam the live comment section with questions.

"Haha. It's just as you all suspect. There will in fact be more than just one vestige being released.

"When we asked the question, 'what is a vestige?' This was a question with an obvious answer, but it was a product that relied on the same elements as other vestiges; in other words, runes and matrices.

"With that well said, the new products on our roster." The host presented a large barrel-type gun.

"The Adjudicator."

The Adjudicator was an anti-desolate beast weapon and it was more suitable against large desolate beasts. Lucas was inspired to make this after the battle of the desolate beasts tide at Alleva district. He had noticed that the military's method of fighting was more close combat and relied on their Sare shuttles offensive system for more firepower. Although the shuttles were fitted with high-power laser weapons and missiles, all of these were attached to the shuttle.

The Adjudicator however, was a hands-on device. Through relying on stellar circuits, Lucas was able to offset its weight, making the weapon easier for an individual to handle alone. What's more, through his transformative technology, the weapon could be changed into a two-piece detachable box that was easier to carry.

The firepower of the Adjudicator was on par with a full powered Grade 3 vestige. At full strength, it was even higher. It was designed based on the pole vestige Lucas had used against the Jaburian and desolate ape, except it was nerfed considerably. He didn't want anyone to have access to that kind of powerful weapon just yet, so Lucas had increased the weight during production. Nonetheless, it was still manageable for an individual to wield alone.

The Adjudicator had a built-in stellar processor, which gave the weapon a lot of special features like increased accuracy, heat-tracking capability, and artificial intelligence aiming. It was also made with special attachments, allowing one to be able to hook it onto a sare shuttle right away. Thanks to the stellar processor, one could be able to link the control mechanism directly to the sare shuttle's control cabin network.

The vestige was meant to bolster the hyumans attack options against desolate beasts, but relatively speaking, it wasn't as revolutionary as the first two SS vestiges; the Blue Spear and Dark Dagger.

Just as people were wondering whether the Seven Sparks Forge had lost its flair, the other vestiges were announced, with none of them failing to generate glitters in the eyes of the stream watchers.

The second vestige wasn't actually a weapon, but a wrist-type communicator. It was fitted with many technologies, and a software called 'Beginner's Guide for Freelancers'. The guide contained information on various desolate beasts including their appearances, strengths, weaknesses, and even behaviours. It was a detailed encyclopaedia on these monsters.

It wasn't as if there weren't similar softwares already, but what made the Guide standout was that it was much more detailed and had a whole ton of information on many more desolate beasts than others. Your next read awaits at empire

The software was just one feature that the communicator possessed.

The processing speed of its stellar processor was astonishing, enabling the communicator to perform more tasks than standard grade ones. It was also fitted with more technology like internal and external sensors, and more. However, the most notable aspect of the stellar processor was its unique ability to manipulate stellar energy, unlike modern processors.

The stellar processor was able to absorb and contain stellar energy, through a peculiar type of inscription which was known to Lucas as stellar circuits. Through his advanced stellar circuit knowledge and his genius brain, Lucas had found a way to be able to use it and modify stellar processors provided by Novanio Tech. He also made 'cores' on the processors, allowing the attracted stellar energy to be stored within the processors.

Finally, was the twist. Similar to a product from the Seven Sparks Forge, the communicator could also transform, but this time, into a dagger type vestige with a stellar processor within its hilt. Through the stellar processor, the dagger vestige was able to absorb stellar energy and use that to charge its blade, giving it a more sharper edge than without the energy.

This cool new technology stunned many, and even though it wasn't exactly necessary, it still got everyone's attention. After all, who would think that a wrist communicator with the ability to be turned into a dagger, was not cool?

However, that wasn't all. The wrist-type communicator came in different models, with some, rather than transforming into a dagger, turning into a vambrace with defensive abilities.

There was also a third model that had no ability to transform, but could still absorb stellar energy thanks to its novel processor. The absorbed energy would then be sent into the wielder's body, helping them to either recover their stellar energy or cultivate it passively. There was no doubt that this was going to become a very useful vestige that everyone would find handy.

Finally, was the third vestige being announced. It wasn't a weapon-type vestige, but it was a supportive class like the third model of communicator vestiges announced. It was a pair of boots which looked stylish. The design was said to have been inspired from the Human era's Hodiernal epoch, and it had the feature of boosting the user's speed.

Once again, there were already vestiges like this on the market, but the one produced by the Seven Sparks Forge could deploy a stellar shield all over the user's feet with defensive capabilities. The shield could be used to increase one's leg attacks, so long as they wished, or it could be swapped for the shoes' actual offensive features; stellar blades.

The stellar blades were compressed energy beams formed after absorbing a large amount of stellar energy and compressing it into blades that could be launched at targets. Due to the requirement of a large amount of energy, the stellar blades consumed energy and could only be used three times per foot after which the stored energy would be depleted.

But regardless of such a low firing rate, the fact that the shoes were fitted with both offensive and defensive abilities stunned the audience, and made many speechless.

Once again, this was something revolutionary that had not been seen in the market yet.

In fact, aside from the Adjudicator —which was the first vestige being announced, the others were all remarkable pieces of technology that had made many forget that the atelier behind it was targeted by the EVL.

What EVL? What alliance of vestige-smith companies?

Compared to all those parties, the Seven Sparks Forge was currently like a sun in peak period.
