Birth Of A Blacksmith Saint

Chapter 6: Ep.6 True Strength

Juan was still focusing on controlling the chaotic mana flowing through Sara's body while also simultaneously draining mana to feed the Golem Army.

'This will be the only time I'll get in the future to pay my debt.'

Juan was a man of his word but doing both things simultaneously was mentally draining. Even Sasha and the others could see how mentally exhausted Juan was. But he never gave up and neither did his mana.

Sasha and the others had thought Juan had an endless supply of Mana but it was the opposite as he had a very small Mana Pool.

It was only thanks to the Triple Mana Core that Juan could use so much Mana without significant drawbacks.

'Once she has the triple mana core she'll rival most S-Rank hunters. But she'll need to refine her control of the core.'

Juan was the one who first created the Triple Mana core thanks to almost twelve years of dedication and persistence.

It took another two years for Juan to teach Thane and Ayesha how to create and control their new cores.

In Thane's prime he was already an Elite Warrior of most A-Ranks but after gaining Juan's triple Mana Core he became a warrior of an International level.

And Ayesha became the youngest S-Rank in history.

But at the source of both legendary figures was Juan who purposely became a D-Rank.

To Juan he wanted nothing more then to live a quiet life but things hardly go to plan since now he had no choice but to show his talents to the world.

'Hopefully this will all be worth it.'

Juan wiped the sweat from his forehead and saw that Sara had feinted from the pain and used some water magic to wake her up.

"I'm up aunt Mary! I'm up!"

"I'm not your Aunt… next step to get the Triple Mana Core is to gather then condense your Mana inside of your existing core."

Sara remembered the pain that caused her to feint and wanted to yell at Juan but held her tongue as she heard Juan's voice in her head.

""I'm communicating with you via telepathy. I don't want the others to hear what I'm going to say. Don't speak out loud and just think what you want to say.""

Telepathy was a skill only taught to S-Ranks so Sara was a little frightened to see that Juan was already a S-Rank hunter just like Ayesha and her father Johnathan White.

""Is it working?""

""Yes, I can hear you and I can feel the hatred you have in your mind as clear as day so either you calm down or I break everything in your body.""

Sara was shocked by Juan's sudden threat but knew that it wasn't an empty one and controlled her mind.

""Now, I'm going to link my memories of controlling your Mana Core and further condensing it. Follow the instructions exactly otherwise you'll wish you were dead.""

Sara felt it was unnecessary to threaten her again especially when she was being nothing if not polite and respectful.

However Sara didn't know that it wasn't a threat but a word of caution as Juan didn't want Sara to suffer more pain unlike Cyrus, Thane and Ayesha who thought they would be fine if they improvised.

Juan proceeded to feed Sara's mind all the information needed and gave Sara a helpful tip.

""Be patient with the process. There's 8 hours left in the test so use that time to create your two inner cores.""

""Ok Master.""

Juan shot out a look of utter disgust and bitterness before he spoke out loud.

"Don't call me that, ever."

"S-Sorry."

Sasha and the other were curious about what Sara had said to cause such a reaction out of Juan but didn't press him to know.

They were too shocked by what Juan had to say to them next.

"Alright now that I've helped her onto the path of getting a Triple Mana Core I can help you guys get one too."

""Huh?""

Juan reached into his bag and pulled an assortment of items and gear that was almost like the testing equipment during the second test.

His purpose was as clear as day to anyone who could see but Sasha and the others didn't know if they could even get a single mana core at all.

Typically most people who have a mana core are only Combat Warriors. But Sasha and the others were only Non-combat warriors so it was unorthodox in the very least to give them Mana cores.

"Ummm Juan? A-Are you sure we can fully use even a single mana core? Even gaining and using a Mana core would be troublesome."

Sasha was correct to assume that a triple mana core would be wasted on them since she wouldn't be capable of using its combatant capabilities to their fullest.

However Juan changed the atmosphere of the conversation in an instant as he tore off a nearby tree branch and started using Alcemy.

"Who says a mana core can't be used for other things then combat?"

Sasha was marveled by the shining light as she and the others watched as Juan turn the tree branch into a crystal longsword with a blue and white rose engraving.

"This is the extent of my prowess of Alcemy. I transformed the branch into a material known as Holy Ether Stones and used my mana to conform its shape into a sword."

Sasha had never heard of such a material neither have anyone among them. But outside back at the arena Hart was having a complete meltdown as was the Magic Head Master, Sol Fen, however they were talking to thane for vastly different reasons.

"Headmaster! I'll give you anything I have! I'll sign a lifetime contract and become a slave! Just ask your grandson if he can give me that sword! Please!"

Hart was yelling so loudly that thane thought even if someone was completely deaf that even they could hear Hart and for good reason.

Meanwhile Sol Fen was bowing at a sharp 90 degree angle.

"Headmaster, please ask intern Juan to set a meeting with the Alcemy department as soon as possible."

Thane wanted to have a triumphant laugh after seeing everyone bowing to his grandson but refrained from doing so and spoke calmly.

"I am not in charge of Intern Juan's affairs. You must direct all questions through the official channels like any intern whom catches your interest."

Normally a teacher can take a special interest in an Intern and become their personal tutor to further their career development. However there was a rule set that an intern can only have a single Sponsor from a teacher.

So Hart and Sol were at other ends of a rope pulling in a game of tug of war with Juan being the prize for victory.

But Thane Knew Juan well enough to know that Juan wouldn't accept a Sponsor that easily.

'Guess I'll have to intervene… just a bit.'

Juan's talent, knowledge and skills were second to none among both the interns and staff. But even Juan had room to grow as Thane saw Juan's golems killing dozens of monsters while Juan himself was casually creating Triple Mana Cores for Sasha and the others.
