BEST FRIEND HUSBAND

Chapter 5: DEMON?

"What a ridiculous question I heard this morning." Lynn turned around and approached Feli.

"People have told me that I've been bothering you a lot. Even when you broke up it was because of me." Feli sat down while reaching for the newspaper.

Lynn deliberately bent her body. She smiled as if Feli was not a burden in her life. Indeed, Lynn had often heard news like that. In fact, with Feli's presence, all the problems in the office were solved.

"I often hear statements like that. Are you afraid someone will say you're a burden?" Lynn smiled while holding Feli's nose.

"Do you really like holding my nose? I know it's a pug and you still hold it," Feli was annoyed, making Lynn stand up and laugh funny.

Lynn sat down in front of Feli. Lynn reached for the cup as she smelled the tea. Lynn couldn't stop thinking about the statements that could bring down her best friend.

"They only see you from the outside. They don't understand what you want. They think you're going to be a burden on my life. In reality, you're not. You often help solve the company's problems." Lynn was telling the truth.

What people say is not true? A lot of people say that Feli is not an independent woman. Rather Feli is the mistress of bosses in large companies. Which is where the job takes advantage for the sake of luxury.

Since childhood Feli has had fantastic savings. Honestly until this moment, Feli does not feel any shortcomings. In fact, she can live in luxury without having to struggle.

"Be a smart woman. Be a woman who can filter information from anywhere. If you can't digest the information. Then you are the one who loses. Your mentality is broken into pieces. Your life falls apart and you have to rebuild it again. When you rebuild again. It takes a long time. And it's not just a year or two. It can take more than that." Lynn said honestly.

"That's true too. For me, it's been a burden for a long time. But my parents gave me the best facilities. And they gave me an education that wasn't canned. I'm often out of the office. So I've often heard unpleasant rumors," Feli explained.

Lynn smiled at Feli. Lynn knew that being Feli was tough. Everything she wore or did was in the spotlight. There was also a lot of bad talk in Feli's ears.

"Why don't you just reveal your identity?" Lynn drank the warm tea slowly.

"Why should I reveal my true identity? Is it important to them?" Feli asked back, leaving Lynn confused.

"Some people know whose son you are, but many people don't know who you are? Soon there will be news. You're going to be a mistress." Lynn smiled ridiculously.

Feli knew what she meant. It was about her relationship with Lynn. If Adinda's scandal leaked out. Then Adinda could easily accuse Feli of causing her to cheat on Lynn.

"I can fight them quietly. Most likely the people who harassed me. Will get big karma." Feli smiled defiantly at them.

"Use your father's power if you want to fight them," Lynn advised.

"Why should I use my father's power? I am me. My father is my father. It's better for me to challenge him on my own without anyone's help. A fighter will attack if he is attacked first." Feli rejected Lynn's advice.

It was true what Feli said. He preferred to be independent rather than having to use his father's power. On the other hand, there were her two older brothers who were ready to protect her. Feli could have asked her brother for help. If the problem is complicated and cannot be solved alone.

Feli is not the type of whiny woman. Indeed, her body is petite and tall. Behind it all, Feli holds a black belt in karate. In addition to karate, Feli mastered ninjutsu and jujutsu. Feli never uses her knowledge to hurt people. Even if there was a war going on, Feli chose to rest or sleep.

"Let's go home now." Lynn asked Feli to get ready.

"Is your heart okay?" Feli smiled warmly.

"I'm still fine. I've decided there's no room for Adinda in my heart. Any betrayal must be discarded." Lynn took the snack and ate it.

"It turns out you can forget someone quickly. I've never been able to forget someone so quickly. What's your secret to forgetting someone in a few days?" Felly praised while asking.

Lynn smiled as she looked up at the blue sky. Lynn chose to remain silent for a moment to formulate words. She didn't want to offend Feli.

"She often makes fatal mistakes. Because of her explosive temper, I lost the phone when I had a meeting with the investors. And that put me in a very bad mood." Lynn recalled painful incidents with Adinda.

"Naturally, she's afraid of overthinking you," said Feli.

"Why should I be overthinking? I already know I work to support hundreds of thousands of employees. Finding investors is not easy. When Adinda called me when I was really busy. Just imagine, she asked me to come to a place that wasn't important to me." Lynn recalls the incident with a tight chest. "To make matters worse, Adinda insisted on asking for a large sum of money."

Feli nodded in agreement. During her time with Lynn, Feli felt the impact. Like it or not, Feli had to continue her meetings with Robin, Lynn's assistant.

Fortunately, Feli already had the talent to seduce investors. That talent was ingrained when he was a child. In the past, Feli was often invited by his father when meeting several investors. This is where Feli absorbed his father's knowledge and saved it for later use. Honestly, that knowledge is very useful for her.

"So what if he comes back and asks for this marriage to go ahead?" Feli asked while looking at some messages on the green app.

"Does she think he can come back in my life that has been betrayed like that? Don't even dream if you've betrayed me. You can get married. But I won't provide any facilities. Even for food, I won't guarantee it. I choose to leave when she is at home," Lynn replied, her words hurting Feli deeply.

"She's a woman, not a man." Feli didn't accept that at all.

Lynn laughed to see that Feli was not okay. He knew that her words hurt her friend deeply. But what the hell, Lynn had to be ruthless and knock out the people who had hurt him.

"What do you think? Demon! I don't care if she's a girl." Lynn looked at Feli.

"Ish... Is that you? How could you equate Adinda with a demon." Feli deliberately turned her face away from Lynn.

"We leave for Jakarta in two hours. I have a feeling that she's going to come to the house and ask for mama's help to make the wedding go on as it is!" Lynn ordered.

Feli also felt the same way. She already knew Adinda's true character. Even though what she did was wrong, for Adinda it was right. There was no one who could stand up to Adinda.

"Are you sure Ad

inda will come?" Feli decided to stand up while drinking the rest of her tea.
