Chapter 17: COMMOTION AT THE SANTOS HOTEL.
"His name is Dimas Sastra Wijaya. His hacker name is rice cooker. It's a ridiculous name. But Dimas was Adinda's henchman. He deliberately took the money for Adinda's own personal gain. That man was found dead in the village last night. Fortunately, before he was found dead, I had already tracked everything down," explained Feli, pushing the food aside for Lynn.
Robin sighed deeply. He hadn't thought it would come to this. Before the incident, the money was taken. Robin was called late at night by his financial manager. The security system was being breached.
"Thank goodness! You acted quickly. Just as I was about to call Tio, the security system had already been updated. Hopefully, it won't happen again," Robin praised.
"I have a special program for the company's security system. It will likely be checked regularly once a month. Digital financial systems are highly vulnerable to theft. That's why I have to work harder and create a new security system." Feli drank her mineral water.
That afternoon, Lynn worked diligently. There were many documents to review. Then, Lynn signed them and returned them to their respective departments.
"Feli," Lynn called out.
"What's up?" Feli turned around while carrying her mineral water.
"We'll be parting ways for a while soon. Don't be sad if we don't meet." Lynn smiled, imagining her wedding with Feli.
"It's just one day. Why be sad? Now the question is, why are you so happy? You should be sad because you won't meet me," teased Feli.
"That's enough. How could you say that to me?" Lynn smiled broadly.
"Do you want me to kiss you?" Feli challenged Lynn playfully.
"I'd be happy to let you." Lynn deliberately allowed Feli to kiss her.
"This person is getting more and more arrogant, isn't she? I'd better just leave here," Feli said angrily as she walked away from Lynn.
Lynn smiled joyfully. She truly saw Feli as very natural. Lynn stood up and immediately chased after Feli.
Him strong hands grabbed Feli. Lynn walked beside her like a couple. At the cafeteria, many eyes were watching. Especially the female employees who disliked Feli's presence.
They declared that Feli was a naughty girl. They often spread rumors about her. However, Feli didn't care. She didn't ask the HR manager to fire them.
"What should we eat?" Feli took a plate.
"Whatever's here. I'm too lazy to go out." Lynn took a plate and followed Feli.
They queued up to get food. The system at this company during breaks was a buffet. They took their own food with the condition that it had to be finished.
In the cafeteria, they didn't discriminate. The executives of Jasson Group mingled with the employees. They chatted and joked with each other. They enjoyed this togetherness.
At the Imperial Hotel, Evan and Brucce were checking on some employees. They had deliberately chosen to help with wedding preparations. They would be given special tasks and were not allowed to do hotel work.
"Are these people enough?" Evan asked.
"They are the chosen ones. Later, Mama Megan's employees will join them. They will work together to decorate the hall." Bruce explained his main objective.
"Why wasn't Feli told that she would be replacing Adinda?" Bruce looked at the employees' resumes.
"We know Feli's personality. If she's told first, she'll probably refuse in the end. That's why Dad asked us not to reveal the secret." Evan answered wisely.
"At least we should tell her gradually," Bruce suggested.
"Actually, Lynn has already been spilling the beans little by little. Feli just doesn't care." Evan smiled foolishly.
"Will they have a child soon?" Brucce hoped to have a nephew soon.
"Don't ask me. Just ask the person concerned." Evan left Brucce.
At the Imperial Hotel, they were very busy. They were designing the hall to look like a village. They didn't want to miss any details. Megan was also present in designing the hall.
What about Adinda? Adinda chose to go to the salon. She pampered herself with a spa treatment and had her hair washed. However, unbeknownst to her, there was a commotion at the Santos Hotel.
Adinda’s wedding organizer wanted to enter the hall. However, the Black Horizon guards did not allow it.
“We have been permitted by the hotel owner to design the hall,” a woman insisted.
"I'm sorry, ma'am, it's not possible. There are no weddings scheduled here this week," said Bella, the receptionist.
"What do you mean? The hotel owner is clearly getting married to Miss Adinda," said Lia, the wedding organizer's owner.
"There's no such news. Sorry, if you insist on trying to get in here, we'll call security to kick you out." Bella was undaunted.
Lia was confused. Why was this happening? The wedding was scheduled for tomorrow. Lia even had her own notes. Adinda had left the matter in Lia's hands.
"Here's the record. Miss Adinda has detailed everything," said Lia as she handed over the notes.
Bella, the receptionist, was even more confused. Suddenly, Ananda and Andi arrived. They already knew this would happen.
"Bella, is there anyone at the usual spot?" Ananda asked with a smile.
"Not at the moment. No one has come today." Bella looked at Ananda and said gratefully, "Thank goodness you came today, sir."
Ananda's face suddenly looked confused. He looked at Bella and asked, "What's going on?"
"Here's the thing, sir. A wedding organizer from Lylia Canon wants to enter the hotel ballroom. When I asked, Mrs. Lia said to decorate the room for two days. She mentioned that there's a wedding for Miss Adinda and Mr. Lynn the day after tomorrow," Bella explained.
Calmly, Andi told them to go inside. They couldn't discuss such matters in public. Andi told Bella to give them a private room. Bella finally agreed and asked the porter to take them to Lynn's lounge.
As they sat facing each other, Andi looked at Lia and pretended not to know anything. Ananda remained calm, as if there were no problems at all. Several waiters brought them cold drinks. Andi deliberately waited for the waiters to leave the room.
The waiters left. Andi and Ananda deliberately acte
d coldly. They stared at Lia as if intimidating her.
"When is the event?" Ananda asked.
