The dragon's voice rumbled like distant thunder, heavy and majestic. Lava bubbled and cracked across the scorched ground, the air thick with blistering heat and crushing pressure.

But Akira remained calm. He was well aware of where he stood—inside the Boosted Gear's inner world, the mental domain ruled by the Red Dragon Emperor, Ddraig.

Here, the dragon reigned supreme. As the soul housed within the Sacred Gear, this entire space was shaped by his will alone.

"One of the Two Heavenly Dragons—Red Dragon Emperor, Y Ddraig Goch."

The dragon narrowed his eyes, then gave a slow nod. 『That's correct. I am Ddraig. And you... are my new partner』

"You've suddenly been given a new master," Akira said plainly. "No complaints? No objections?"

Ddraig's molten gaze remained steady. 『None. I care not who the host is』

"My name is Shin Akira, Ddraig."

『Very well. I'll remember it. Shin Akira—my new partner』

The blazing world around him began to fade as Ddraig's voice softened, and Akira's consciousness smoothly returned to his body. He opened his eyes, calm and composed.

A familiar voice echoed in his mind.

『Boost!』

A crimson gauntlet materialized on Akira's left arm, gleaming brilliantly under the room's dim light. Embedded on the back of the hand was a vivid green gem, pulsing faintly with power.

The Boosted Gear—one of the Longinus-class Sacred Gears. A divine weapon that could double the user's power every ten seconds.

Though temporary, the potential amplification could theoretically surpass even Maou or god-level beings.

This cheat-like ability, once reserved for the story's protagonist, now belonged entirely to Shin Akira.

Ddraig's voice rang out again in his mind, filled with a mixture of awe and disbelief. 『Partner, tell me—are you really human? Your current physical body is no longer at a human's level. You're a monster!』

Akira gave a light chuckle. "Of course I'm human. But I'm not your average human, Ddraig."

The dragon's voice responded with a sharp laugh. 『Hah! Looks like I really hit the jackpot this time, partner』

Akira smirked. "No, Ddraig. You didn't get me—I got you."

Laughter rumbled through his mind like a landslide. 『Hahahaha! Excellent! I like your attitude, partner!』

As one of the Two Heavenly Dragons, Ddraig had always taken the dominant, aggressive path.

And as a dragon—especially the Red Dragon King—his pride knew no bounds.

That pride was also what had driven him, alongside Albion the White Dragon Emperor, to plunge into the battlefield of the Three Great Factions... a decision that eventually led to both their deaths and their souls being sealed within Sacred Gears.

Because of that, Ddraig never took issue with being passed from one host to another.

To him, strength was all that mattered. The strong deserved everything. The weak had no say.

And now that he'd encountered Akira—a user with overwhelming strength—Ddraig was fully satisfied.

This time, in the eternal duel between the Red and White Dragon Emperors, Ddraig was sure of his victory.

There was no way Albion's new host could surpass Akira.

Akira had no idea what Ddraig was thinking. But now that he had the Boosted Gear, his confidence had risen drastically.

This Sacred Gear really was a cheat. As long as his body could endure it, he could double his power every ten seconds. Absolutely insane.
