Battle Across The Omniverse

Jayr POV - Dragon Ball Universe, Neutral Space, Nameless Planet - Age 779

The pieces of the shattered barrier fly in all directions forcing the people to dodge and block the various shards, of course, the fastest among them is Whis who quickly moves in front of the platform used by the guest from Universe 7 to protect them using a form of telekinesis to stop the shards which vanish shortly after being stopped.

While dodging, Goku can't help but notice that despite the fact that Monaka didn't move at all he still isn't it by any shard which makes him comment in wonder, "Just what you'd expect from the guy acknowledged as the best in the universe. He didn't move even an inch!"

At the same time, on Universe 6's platform, Cabba honestly comments, "Amazing... what an incredible power." while Champa asks his attendant, "Hey, Vados! Why didn't you make a barrier that would not break so easily!?" to which she calmly replied, "Because Champa-sama said, 'Idiot, that doesn't matter at all.'"

Then all the people present finally react to the referee's declaration and exclaim in shock while Champa immediately focuses back on the ring, and starts to yell and complain, "No fair! It is clear that the green giant touched the barrier before Magetta! He should have lost! I demand that you immediately reconsider your decision or else..."

But before he can continue with his threats, Beerus shouts, "Shut up, you idiot! Don't be such a petty loser! You already benefited enough because of that ridiculous barrier and the impromptu change of rules! Without them, your pathetic piece of metal junk would have surely lost without causing that much of a trouble for Cell!"

At the same time, in response to Beerus' harsh words Magetta freezes for a moment, before he crouches down and starts to depressingly draws circles on the ground while crying, even the flames on his chest looks much dimmer as he gives off a much weaker aura than before.

Seeing this scene, Goku can't help but wonder out loud, "What's wrong with Magetta? Him being so strong just a moment ago now feels like a lie." to which Whis explains, "It's because Beerus-sama called him "a piece of metal junk." Magetta-san is a Metal Man. They are mentally weak and are unable to fight once they are insulted."

Hearing that, Beerus, who stopped arguing with Champa, can't help but shout, "Hey, Whis! Why did you stay quiet about such an important thing!?"

Before Whis can answer, Goku immediately says, "Beerus-sama, it would've been boring if we had known that since the start." which makes Whis laugh and add, "Hohoho. That's right."

Shortly after he said that, Cell lands on the platform which makes Goku asks, "What's going on, Cell? If you were fightin' seriously, you could've have easily won."

In response, Cell raises his hands and says, "If I did that, then you and Vegeta wouldn't have the chance to fully enjoy the experience." which makes Goku smile and say, "Thank you." while Vegeta simply snorts. 

Sometime later, Whis and Vados are repairing the ring, which was partially destroyed by Cell's match with Auta Magetta.

While this is brief pause is happening, Bulma is massaging Vegeta's shoulders and Trunks tells his father, "Papa, defeat all the remaining members, too." to which Vegeta says, "That's what I plan to do." but then Bulma chides them both, "Trunks, don't get carried away. And Vegeta, since we still have Son-kun, don't force yourself too much."

At this point, Vegeta snorts and says, "Just go back to your seat." making an exasperated Bulma exclaim, "Geez!"

At the same time, the audience of the 7th Universe is enjoying watermelon brought by Chi-Chi until an annoyed Champa yells out, "So noisy!" which makes Beerus lazily comment, "I think I hate Champa because he gets angry so easily."

Immediately Champa rushes up to Beerus and asks, "What was that, asshole?"

At this point, the two Gods of Destruction engage in yet another argument. 

"It suddenly got so stinky. The entire stadium is very stinky because of you. Since your breath stinks, move away from me."

"My breath is fresh, just like my fresh and charming personality."

"It's stinks."

"It's fresh."

"It's stinks!"

"It's fresh!"

"In that case, move your body and go refreshing someone else!"

"Fine, I'll do that!"

At this point, the two continue to rise up until their heads hit the barrier's ceiling and continue to glare at each other, but then Whis and Vados interrupt them by saying in perfect sync, "Both of you. Repairs are done." 

Hearing that, both Champa and Beerus stop their childish argument and take a look at the ring which is much bigger than the previous one, something that makes both the Gods of Destruction grin widely.

Then Whis adds, "We made a completely new stage." which makes Beerus comment in response, "That was fast, as expected." followed by an impressed Goku, "This is awesome!"

Shortly after that, Vados explain, "Some dynamic battles will take place now. We wanted to reduce the chances of out-of-bounds defeats, so wveryone can leave without regrets." before Whis asks, "Beerus-sama, Champa-sama, what should we do about the aerial out-of-bounds rule?"

Beerus gently lands on the stage and declares with finality, "We'll get rid of that. No complaints, right?"

Champa does the same as he replies with nonchalance, "Yeah, it's fine either way."

Then an impressed Beerus comments, "But seriously, now this thing is much bigger than before." before an impatient Champa states, "Now then, start the next match." making the Angels say again in perfect sync, "At once."

Finally, Vegeta and Cabba make their way to the ring while the referee announces, "After an exciting match that ended in an unexpected draw, two new contestants make their way to the ring. I present you to contestant Vegeta from the 7th Universe team and contestant Cabba from the 6th Universe team. The lively Saiyan of the 6th Universe against the stern Saiyan of the 7th Universe. Which Saiyan out of the two is going to win?"

At this point, I take a brief moment to take a closer look at Cabba.

Cabba is fair-skinned and of short stature and has a very slim build, his hair is black and spiky just like all other pure-blooded Saiyans, with one bang hanging over his forehead, similar to Gohan's during the Majin Buu Saga and Tarble's, Vegeta's younger brother. 

His eyes are narrow with large black pupils and his outfit has yellow straps, silver plating, a purple underpiece, and a blue suit underneath with brown armbands, a brown belt, and purple shoes with grey soles. 

From what I know, this is similar to the original uniforms worn by Saiyans before they were conscripted by Frieza. 

He appears to be a very young, teenage Saiyan, around 17 to 19 years of age, although he could be much older since Saiyans physically age at a much slower rate.

While taking a look at Cabba, I hear Yamcha as he comments out loud, "That boy is also a Saiyan? Somehow, he reminds me of the time when I first met Goku." followed by Puar who asks, "Really, Yamcha-sama?" before Yamcha notices, "But that guy has no tail." to which Puar agrees, "You're right."

Then I hear Yamcha as he wonders, "Could it be that he got it removed, just like Goku did?" with his sidekick who smiles and says, "Yes, that might be it!"

At the same time, from the other side of the arena, I hear the voice of Old Supreme Kai as he comments, "That young man has an incredibly good feeling about him." followed by the voice of useless Supreme Kai Shin who says, "Yes, The Saiyans there followed a different evolution." which makes Old Supreme Kai hums, "I see."

The Supreme Kai of Universe 6, Fuwa proudly explains, "Saiyans in the 6th Universe are so-called, the heroes of justice." then seeing the confusion of Old Supreme Kai's face he continues, "Saiyans of the 6th Universe are based on planet Sadala, and are hired to keep the universe safe, by defeating evil-doers. Hahaha!"

At this point, Old Supreme Kai snorts and says, "Huh? Even here, the Saiyans do a good job of protecting the Earth and the rest of the Universe! Hyahyahya!"

Hearing what they said, Bulma can't help but comment in an impressed tone, "The Saiyans over there work kinda hard." followed by Nappa who yells, "Vegeta teach that pipsqueak our Saiyan Pride the same way it was taught to us! Beat the shit out of him and when he doesn't have the strength to stand anymore beat again until he does!!"

Hearing that, Patamon chuckles and comments, "Hehehe. Hey, Jayr. That seems a lot like the training you put us through... Especially the one Impmon went through." to which I dryly reply while hiding a small smirk forming on my face, "That was the way I was trained... It helps with character building. The results speak for themselves." 

Then I focus on the ring and see Vegeta staring at Cabba's figure with his arms crossed as he says, "So, you're the one who will fight me?" to which Cabba politely replies, "Yes." before he slightly lowers his head and adds, "Let's have a nice match."

Seeing that, Vegeta raises an eyebrow before he snorts and says, "Tch. No need to hold back. Come at me with full power." which makes Cabba reply with, "Yes, of course I will."

Soon the referee takes the position as a sign that the match is about to start and at the same time, Cabba takes his fighting stance, and seeing that is the same fighting stance that he and Nappa use, Vegeta who still has his arms crossed smiles and comments, "He's a Saiyan indeed. That's exactly like my stance." 

At this point, Beerus fires the usual weak energy beam that rings the bell, and the match begins with the referee yelling, "Start!"

Immediately, Cabba rushes toward Vegeta yelling, "Here I come!" to which the Prince of Saiyans replies with a simple, "Come!" before Cabba begins his assault with a quick series of punches that forces Vegeta to defend and step back until Cabba twists his body to deliver a spinning kick which Vegeta dodges by leaning back, but that was only a faint as Cabba stops halfway his follow through and masterfully changes the trajectory turning his spinning kick into a roundhouse kick forcing Vegeta to block with his forearm.

Then Vegeta counterattacks with a simple straight punch that Cabba dodges by lowering his stance before he counterattacks with a heavy punch to his stomach that makes Vegeta spit some saliva.

Cabba then takes advantage of this opening by punching once again, but Vegeta yells, "Don't get carried away!" before he easily dodges the punch and grabs Cabba's offending arm.

Cabba panics and throws a reckless punch at Vegeta who uses his free arm to defect it and grab it before he pushes away Cabba's arms spreading them and leaving Cabba's defenses wide open.

Then Vegeta jumps and spins his body to deliver a devastating heel kick but when Cabba moves his arms to defend himself, he smirks and pays the Universe 6's Saiyan with the same coin as the heel kick is a faint as the leg swings down without hitting his mark but builds up momentum for the other leg that is used to deliver a devastating front kick that pushes Cabba a few meters back and makes him kneel down as he tries to recover while breathing heavily.

Seeing that, Vegeta smirks and asks, "What's wrong? Are you out of stamina already?

In response, Cabba slowly stands up, and then, he curls his fingers and places both his hands together at chest level facing the same direction so that the palm of one hand is on the back of the other as a fuchsia energy gathers in front of them.

Seeing that stance Vegeta can't help but comment in wonder, "That move... It can't be... It can't be... my Galick Gun?"

At the same time, Cabba has gathered enough Ki so he thrusts both hands forward to fire a powerful blast of energy and shouts, "Here I go!" 

The result is a powerful, huge, fuchsia-colored Ki beam that emanates from his hands and body, however, when Cabba's energy beam is about to hit Vegeta, he takes the same pose and launches his own Gallick Gun to counter Cabba's energy beam resulting in an energy clash between the two similar techniques.

Seeing that he can't gain an advantage in this energy clash, Vegeta can't help but comment in an impressed tone, "Not bad. In normal form, we're evenly matched. It doesn't seem like this match will end quickly."

Shortly after that, they both release their technique at the same time, briefly stopping the fight as Vegeta states, "Alright. Let's get serious now. Hurry and transform into a Super Saiyan!"

Stunned for a moment, Cabba opens his mouth to say something but then he stops before he looks at Vegeta and asks, "It is the transformation you did earlier?"

Vegeta crosses his arms and replies with a grin, "Yeah, that's right. You understand that so hurry and transform." but Cabba then states, "That... I cannot do." which makes Vegeta ask in shock, "What!? You can't transform into a Super Saiyan?"

Then after a brief moment of silence, Cabba lowers his head and says, "Please, Vegeta-san... Please... teach me how to transform. Thank you for your kindness. For the sake of my family who is waiting for me on planet Sadala, I need to get stronger and bring peace to the universe! That's why..." 

Cabba's attitude apparently rubs Vegeta the wrong way as he closes his eyes and his body starts to shake barely holding his anger as he mutters, "We are in the middle of a battle right now." while Cabba continues, "I want to learn how to transform."

Then Vegeta's body stops shaking, he opens his eyes and plainly states as his Ki starts to surge, "Disappointing. Begging me to teach you while in the midst of battle?" 

At this point, a golden glow emanates from Vegeta's body as he yells, "Bastard, you still... you still... call yourself a Saiyan!?" before Vegeta fully transforms into his Super Saiyan Form.

At the same time, Patamon chuckles and comments with a grave tone, "And at this moment he knew... he fucked up." causing Son Goza to giggle before he says, "Come on. Vegeta may be rough but he is still a good guy now. He is going to teach Cabba how to transform in his own way."

Patamon nods and states, "I know that Vegeta is actually a Tsundere. But the moment was just too perfect to let it pass."

Meanwhile, the "enraged" Vegeta charges at Cabba hitting him with a heavy blow to the stomach that lifts Cabba from the floor before he quickly flies behind him, and swinging his arm, he hits Cabba on the side of his face sending him flying.

Then Vegeta quickly chases after him once again reaching his back and before Cabba falls on the floor, he hits him with a quick series of punches while yelling, "Do you think I'll let you fall?" before he delivers a front kick that sends Cabba flying up in the air making me comment in appreciation, "Oh, a juggling combo! It's been a while since I saw such a one-sided one."

At the same time, I hear a surprised Bulma comment, "What's gotten into Vegeta all of a sudden?" followed by Yamcha who asks, "Hey, could it be that he's back to his evil self?" while Nappa loudly cheers, "Great! Keep going, Vegeta! Break a few more bones! Give him the Vegeta Special!!"

Cabba is quickly descending but just before he is about to hit the floor, Vegeta kicks him up in the air again and yells, "With that level of power, how could you think about fighting in this tournament?"

After that, Cabba once again falls toward the ground, but once again, Vegeta kicks him up in the air, and seeing this scene, Beerus can't help but wonder out loud, "That Vegeta... Did he forget that he'll be disqualified if he kills him?" but Whis who already understood what is going on simply smiles and says, "Well... who knows?"

Vegeta kicks up Cabba again, but this time while in the air the weakened Cabba tries to mutter, "I surren-" but when Vegeta hears that he frows and grabs him by the collar and threatens, "Bastard. If you surrender, I will... kill you!"

After a short silence, Cabba weakly says, "But..." which makes Vegeta state as he gathers his Ki in his hand to form a Ki Blast, "Alright then. I'll end this for you. But, once the match is over, I will also blow planet Sadala into pieces! Your family, too, will get slaughtered!"

Angered, Cabba breaks free from Vegeta's hold and as a familiar golden glow envelopes his body he says, "Keep planet Sadala... out of this! If you do anything to Sadala... If you do anything to my family... I will..."

At this point, the familiar golden flame-like aura explodes out of Cabba's body as he also transforms into a Super Saiyan while roaring, "Never forgive you!!"

After that, Cabba glares at Vegeta and says, "I absolutely won't forgive you."

In response, Vegeta simply smirks which angers Cabba even more who yells, "I won't forgive you!" before he then attacks Vegeta, overwhelming the Saiyan prince with his blows and pushing him back.

Just as Cabba's relentless offensive is about to overwhelm him, Vegeta forces an opening by pushing apart Cabba's arms before he lowers his body and destabilizes Cabba's footing with a low sweep kick, but this time, Cabba is ready and attacks by kicking Vegeta up in the air before he chases after him and sends him crashing onto the floor with a Double Axe Handle a common a Rush Attack used by many fighters in this universe where the user cups their hands together and reels back, then slams their fists on the opponent.

Shortly after Vegeta crashed on the ground with such force that he formed a crater in the ring, Cabba didn't waste any time and unleashed an endless barrage of energy blasts back down to Vegeta, who blocked the attack, smirking causing countless firework-like explosion that almost blind the sight of all the people present.

Cabba then lands on the floor and punches Vegeta, who takes the attack on his forehead unharmed, after that, with a proud smile, Vegeta says, "That's good. Don't forget that feeling."

Confused, Cabba powers down returning to his base form while muttering, "So..." before Vegeta tells him, "Super Saiyan transformation becomes possible through anger. Don't forget that feeling from just now." in response, Cabba stammers, "Ehh... Y-Yes."

Then Vegeta calmly orders, "Try to transform into a Super Saiyan, once again." which makes Cabba look at him with confusion before Vegeta yells, "Transform if I say transform! Don't make me repeat myself!"

Immediately, Cabba stands upright with an assertive and correct posture, chin up, chest out, shoulders back, stomach in, arms fixed at the side, thumb or middle finger parallel to trouser, head, and eyes locked in a fixed forward posture, basically a textbook military posture as he shouts, "Y-Yes!"

Then Cabba releases a roar and once again transforms into a Super Saiyan making Vegeta snort and comment, "Hmpf! You indeed have some talent."

At this point, Cabba finally realizes, "In order to make me transform, Vegeta-san deliberately acted cruelly."

This statement makes the worried Bulma, Goten, and Trunks let out a sigh of relief while Yamcha shamelessly comments, "As expected of Vegete. I believed in him since the beginning." which makes Bulma and Trunks shout, "Liar!"

At the same time, Beerus asks, "So, he was training him?" to which Whis replies, "Seems like it." which makes Beerus snort and comment, "Tch! So stupid." followed by his brother and fellow God of Destruction who says at the exact same time, "Tch! So stupid."

Then suddenly, Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan Blue, this form is nearly identical to the first Super Saiyan form, the only main differences being that the hair and irises are now cyan-ish in color, and boast a vibrant, fiery, electric blue aura, as opposed to the blazing orange aura of Super Saiyan God. 

The aura surrounding the Super Saiyan Blue form also appears to be glittering somewhat, with small sparkling particles of energy traveling upwards within the flames, with occasional surges of electricity. 

On top of that, if one inspects it closely, a very subtle yellow glow can be seen on the outside of the aura as well, which may be remnants of the original Super Saiyan transformation.

This causes Hit to open both eyes for the first time in the entire tournament, he then looks over at Goku, who is smirking at him, and closes both eyes again.

At the same time, Cabba is shocked at the sudden transformation and can only mutter, "Blue...?" before Vegeta calmly explains, "This is the latest form, Super Saiyan Blue."

Hearing that, Cabba repeats with clear awe in his tone, "Super Saiyan Blue?"

Then Vegeta says encouragingly, "If you continue training, you'll be able to unlock your hidden potential and come this far, too." which makes the still-shocked Cabba ask, "I can have... this kind of power?"

Suddenly before Cabba can react, Vegeta makes his move punching Cabba so hard in the gut that he returns to his base form before saying, "Don't ever forget this pain."

Cabba falls unconscious on the ground as Vegeta powers down to his base form and walks away, at the same time, the referee quickly comes to Cabba's side and checks on him while calling out, "Contestant Cabba... contestant Cabba... he completely passed out."

Then the referee waves his hands and declares, "Contestant Cabba is defeated by K.O.! Winner, contestant Vegeta!" which makes all the guests from Universe 7 celebrate while Beerus grins and comments in a pleased tone, "Things suddenly turned in the favour of our team."

At the same time, Champa is clearly upset by the result to the point that Vados warns him, "Champa-sama, your blood pressure will increase." making him yell, "Shut up!"

Back on the ring, Vegeta pours a vase of water on Cabba, causing him to wake up with a start before he notices Vegeta's figure and exclaims, "V-Vegeta-san."

Then Cabba stands up and lowers his head while thanking him, "Thank you very much!"

In response, Vegeta crouches down, loudly slams the vase on the ground, and scolds him, "You bowed your head to me, an enemy, during the battle. That's the same thing as giving up. I will not allow a Saiyan to act that way!"

Hearing that, Cabba lowers his gaze and stutters, "I-I'm sorry." 

Vegeta glares at him for a few moments before he says, "Don't forget about the pride of a Saiyan, no matter what!" making Cabba confused and repeat, "Pride of a Saiyan?"

At this point, Vegeta states with complete conviction, "It's our strength." which makes Cabba again stand upright as he says, "Yes. I will become as strong as Vegeta-san!"

Again Vegeta loudly slams the vase on the floor to indicate that Cabba made another mistake, and unsure of what he said wrong Cabba mutters, "Or... not." but Vegeta simply states, "Surpass me!"

In response to that, tears form in the corner of Cabba's eyes as he says, "Y-Yes!" before Vegeta looks at him, grins, and says, "I will never fall behind, though." making Cabba smile back and yell, "Yes!"

At this point, Vegeta smiles, turns his back, and starts to walk away, and then, Cabba looking at his retreating figure says, "The king of planet Sadala is a strong and proud person, just like you."

Hearing that, Vegeta stops and says, "I see. Let me meet him, someday." making a very grateful Cabba yell back, "Yes!" before he once again lowers his head to show his appreciation.
