Awaken the Tenseigan, Become the Mastermind of the Shinobi World

Chapter 169: Chapter 169: A Gift for You—Edo Tensei

"I could never forget," Hyuga Gakuya accepted the title without hesitation. "You simply twisted the meaning of my dream. What I sought... was the creation of a flawless world."

His smile faded, replaced by a chilling coldness.

"But this world has utterly disappointed me. Even with an existential threat looming just over the horizon—when annihilation is all but imminent—you people still cannot stop fighting amongst yourselves."

"In that case... we will be the ones to correct this world!"

His words were hard to refute, no matter how much they might sound like a tyrant's justification. Even the threat of alien invasion lay somewhere in the future. To expect the Five Great Nations to abandon their immediate self-interest? A fool's dream.

Still, the faces of the Four Kage darkened visibly at Gakuya's statement. Even in the face of potential extinction, the Five Great Nations lacked the courage to unite and abandon their old grudges.

"Hyuga Gakuya, there's no need for this hollow speech. Their ignorance is ours to correct," Tendo Pain said bluntly, getting straight to the point.

"Where is Uzumaki Naruto? Hand him over."

Tsunade stepped forward, her eyes blazing with fury.

"Naruto is one of us—a comrade of Konohagakure! You think we'll just let you take the Nine-Tails without resistance? The shinobi of Konoha will never back down!"

"RAAAHH!!" A thunderous roar rose from the Allied Shinobi Forces behind her, echoing her declaration and showing their resolve.

Gakuya sneered. "You really think you can stop us? This is nothing but futile resistance."

Mei Terumi's expression darkened. "Don't get cocky, Hyuga Gakuya. We are Kage—shinobi who bear the weight of nations!"

Gakuya swept his gaze across the group, his tone laced with contempt.

"Then come. Let's see how long your so-called alliance can hold out."

He stretched a hand toward the ground—and in an instant, the earth split open with a deep, resonating crack. Four white coffins slowly rose from the chasm, each etched with a single character: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth.

The entire Allied Force recoiled in shock. Some recognized the technique immediately. Edo Tensei—the legendary forbidden jutsu that could summon the dead. And there were four of them at once.

A wicked grin twisted across Gakuya's face. "Now... behold the gift I've prepared for you!"

Tsunade's eyes widened with fury. "Hyuga Gakuya, you dare use such a vile jutsu?!"

He replied with a mocking laugh.

"Merely a means to an end. This technique came from your own Konoha. I've simply found a more... effective use for it."

All Tsunade could do was silently curse her granduncle. Why did he ever invent such a thing?

Gaara frowned deeply. "This kind of jutsu defies the natural order. We won't let you succeed."

He stared at the kanji carved into the coffins, seemingly piecing together what was about to unfold.

Gakuya gave a cold snort. "Then try and stop me."

At that moment, the lids of the coffins began to creak open. One by one, four figures stepped out into the light.

"No... it can't be...! That's the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze! The Second Mizukage, Gengetsu Hōzuki! The Fourth Kazekage, Rasa! And... the Second Tsuchikage, Mu!"

The crowd erupted in horrified shouts. The presence of those four legendary shinobi sent a wave of dread crashing through the Allied Forces like a rising tide.

Gasps. Shouts. Panic.

"Those are... real Kage. Legends!"

"How are we supposed to fight them?! Can we even win?!"

Despair and helplessness were written on the faces of countless shinobi. Even the seasoned jonin exchanged grave looks—they knew just how dire the situation had become.

Mei Terumi bit her lip, eyes flashing with resolve. "No matter what... we cannot retreat!"

"Mu-sama..." Onoki murmured, brow furrowed in anguish. His mind raced, calculating their odds, desperately searching for a plan.

Gaara clenched his fists. The sand around him trembled with agitation.

"Father... No matter what happens, I will protect the village."

The summoned Kage, now revived through Edo Tensei, reacted in different ways.

Minato Namikaze looked around with brief confusion, but his mind quickly cleared. He understood the situation almost instantly—Hyuga Gakuya was truly serious about waging war against the Five Great Nations.

He turned, as if to speak to Gakuya, but just then, a cold voice echoed in his mind.

"Do your part. If you say a word… your son dies."

Minato's face twisted with anguish. He turned to Jiraiya, pain flickering in his eyes.

"Sensei… stop me."

Jiraiya understood immediately. Minato was trapped in a body no longer his own. The older man gave a solemn nod.

"I will."

Gengetsu Hōzuki scanned the battlefield and let out a dry laugh.

"Edo Tensei again, huh? That damned Tobirama."

Rasa stood silently, golden sand trickling from his body, clashing against Gaara's swirling sands. His gaze locked onto his son.

"Gaara... so you've become Kazekage."

Mu, his body wrapped in bandages, turned his invisible gaze toward Onoki.

"You're old now, Onoki. Are you really still fit to bear the title of Tsuchikage?"

Minato was filled with helpless grief. He knew his body would soon move against his will—do things that betrayed his very soul.

And then, Gakuya threw his head back, covering half his face with one hand in a dramatic pose and laughed madly.

"Hahahahaha! Come! Let this battle drown you all in despair!"

...

Many in the Allied Forces had turned pale. None of them had expected this. This was nothing like the simulations.

Whatever slim advantage they had... had been completely crushed by Gakuya's move.

"Do not fear!" Tsunade's voice rang out, firm and resolute. "If we stand together, we can defeat this wicked jutsu!"

Kakashi stepped forward, kunai gripped tight in his hand. "No matter what happens... we fight to the last man."

Their words steadied the trembling hearts of the troops, breathing courage back into them.

Across the battlefield, Rasa's sharp gaze once again fixed on Gaara. His voice was low and heavy, filled with pressure.

"Show me, Gaara... show me whether you're truly worthy to protect the village."

Gaara didn't flinch. His eyes were as firm as iron. "I'll show you."

With that, he brought his hands together in a flurry of seals. The sand around him surged like a tidal wave, roaring toward Rasa with relentless force.

The sand seemed to come alive, crashing forward with ferocious intent, as if to swallow everything in its path.

Rasa sneered and swept his arms outward. In response, a flood of golden sand erupted from his body, forming countless razor-sharp spikes to intercept Gaara's oncoming wave.

Sand and gold clashed violently, creating deafening explosions and hurling dust high into the sky.

...

Elsewhere, Minato had no choice but to attack.

He hurled several kunai, his figure flickering like a phantom. In the blink of an eye, he appeared in the midst of the Allied Forces, kunai glinting ominously as they slashed through their ranks.

Just as disaster loomed—

"Fire Style: Flame Bullet!" Jiraiya roared, forming seals and spewing a massive blaze toward Minato.

The Yellow Flash weaved away with blinding speed, dodging the flames, and the two clashed, their jutsu lighting up the battlefield in a dazzling display.
