Chapter 89:
Chapter 89: Enjoying the Daughter’s Massage! A New Way to Conquer!:
Xu Feiyan stood by, watching helplessly as her sister Xu Shiqing completed a painting under Xu Hao’s guidance. The painting seemed to come to life right before her eyes.
It was truly astonishing.
She had never imagined a painting could look so real.
At this moment, she began to believe what her sisters had said in their group chats—Xu Hao was indeed talented in many ways. But she still doubted his strength. Taking down a few thugs was something she could easily do too.
Xu Hao’s voice pulled her out of her thoughts.
She looked up to find him staring at her with a teasing smile, and she quickly turned away.
“Don’t pretend you’ve forgotten. You promised to serve tea and water. Don’t think you can skip out on it.” Xu Hao said playfully, noticing her reluctance as she stood with the tea set in her hands. He decided to use a different approach this time instead of the methods he used with his other daughters.
“Fifth sister, we’re witnesses. Don’t try to get out of it.” Xu Huayi chimed in.
With a bitter look, Xu Feiyan turned away from her sister’s gaze, picked up the teapot, and poured tea into a cup. Xu Hao took the cup, sipped the tea, and let out a satisfied sigh.
“Ah, nothing beats being served like this.”

[Ding… Xu Feiyan’s anger surged. Emotional points +875]
“Dad, from now on, all seven of us sisters will serve you every day,” Xu Huayi said obediently.
“Such a good daughter.” Xu Hao said, patting her head.
Xu Feiyan was furious. It was bad enough that her twin sisters and the third sister were so compliant—why drag her and the other sisters into it?
Xu Hao put down his cup and turned to Xu Huayi.
“Your sister has finished her lesson. Now it’s your turn. You don’t want her to surpass you, do you?”
“What?!” Xu Huayi exclaimed, shocked. She had been proud of beating her sister twice but couldn’t stand the idea of falling behind.
“Then teach me, Dad!” she said, hurrying to his side and picking up a pen.
“What are we practicing today?” she asked, frowning slightly. Suddenly, her eyes lit up.
“There are two words I can’t grasp. Dad, can you show me?”
“Which words?” Xu Hao asked, curious.
Huayi wrote down two words: “Yuyu.”
Xu Hao nearly spit out his tea. Seeing the sly look in her eyes, he knew she had picked this up from some questionable source. He walked over and gently tapped her on the head.
“Stay away from bad influences.”
“Dad, what do you mean? I don’t understand. I just need help writing these words.” she replied, feigning innocence.
Xu Feiyan and Xu Shiqing looked over, curious. They didn’t know the meaning behind the words, only that they seemed deep and complex. Xu Hao had no choice but to teach, since his daughter wanted to learn. After all, he was well-versed in many things.
After helping his daughters with drawing and calligraphy practice, Xu Hao sat back, listening to their chatter. He noticed that Xu Feiyan seemed a bit too relaxed, so he decided to put her to work.
“Feiyan, I’d like some tea.” he said.
At this moment, Xu Feiyan and her sisters were busy talking.
“Little sister, what’s the meaning behind those words? They sound so powerful.” Xu Feiyan asked Huayi.
“Why did Dad say you got those words from bad sources? What do they mean?” Xu Shiqing pressed, not letting it go.
Huayi looked at her sisters with a mischievous glint.
“Fifth sister doesn’t know? Sister, you should know…”
“I know?” Xu Shiqing said, pointing to herself, looking adorably confused.
“Just tell us already, or you’ll be sorry.” Xu Feiyan warned, raising her hand.
With a sigh, Huayi finally said, “If you want to know, listen at Dad’s door tonight.”
Xu Feiyan was puzzled, while Xu Shiqing’s pale face suddenly turned red as she realized what it meant. She clenched her fists in embarrassment.
“Huayi, if you keep looking up that weird stuff, I’ll deal with you myself,” she threatened.
Huayi ran off, with Xu Shiqing ready to chase, but Feiyan stopped her.
“Shiqing, wait. I still don’t know. Please tell me!”
Shiqing’s face flushed deeper, and she whispered,
“Do you really want to know?”
Xu Feiyan nodded eagerly. Curiosity always made things worse when left unanswered.
“Split the words into four smaller ones…” Xu Shiqing said, before dashing away in embarrassment.
It took Feiyan a moment, but realization dawned on her. Having grown up among bold friends, she understood the implications. Was Xu Hao really that skilled?
At this moment, she heard Xu Hao calling for more tea, and she froze.
Did she really have to keep serving him like a maid? But if her sisters found out she tried to skip, they’d call her a cheat. Reluctantly, she went to fetch more tea. Seeing Xu Hao relaxed, with his legs crossed, made her blood boil.
“Just wait until I win tomorrow,” she muttered under her breath.
[Ding! Xu Feiyan is furious. Emotional points +69…]
Her ordeal had just begun. Whenever she tried to leave, Xu Hao would call her back, even sending Xu Huayi to fetch her if she hid. This continued until dinner, when Su Wanqiu returned home.
Delighted to see her fifth daughter, she prepared all of Feiyan’s favorite dishes. Touched, Xu Feiyan felt a bit emotional—despite being away for so long, her stepmother still remembered her favorites.
There was something different about Su Wanqiu—she seemed even more elegant and refined than before. Was it love’s influence?
After a brief break during dinner, Xu Hao called her to pour more tea. Xiao Wanling assisted as a tea-making expert, but Feiyan felt humiliated being bossed around by Xu Hao. Inwardly, she vowed to seek revenge.
Su Wanqiu noticed with a knowing smile.
Xu Hao’s treatment of Xu Feiyan made it clear he was beginning to win her over. She knew she had to step up too, or else, with more daughters around, it’d be harder to manage things herself. She glanced at Xiao Wanling, considering possibilities.
…
Early the next morning, Xu Feiyan confronted Xu Hao, insisting on another competition.
Slight dark circles under her eyes hinted at her restless night. She still couldn’t believe the implications behind the words from yesterday.
Did Xu Hao truly possess such endless stamina?
It had kept her up all night thinking.
Xu Hao had been up all night, yet he appeared tired but still surprisingly energetic. Xu Feiyan found this puzzling. Once again, Xu Shiqing and Xu Huayi acted as referees. Xu Feiyan proposed the same bet as yesterday:
“Whoever loses will serve tea and water to the winner for a day.”
“Tea and water? I had enough of that yesterday. Let’s change it up.” Xu Hao replied dismissively, waving his hand.
Xu Feiyan’s fists clenched in anger. He was acting so confident, as if victory was guaranteed. She knew she had been careless yesterday. It wouldn’t happen again. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to stay calm.
“Fine. What do you want the prize to be?”
“How about whoever loses gives the other a massage for a day?” Xu Huayi suggested cheerfully. Her idea received enthusiastic applause.
“Yes, a massage is much better. It really shows who’s the winner.”
“A massage?” Xu Feiyan’s eyes twitched. The image of herself giving Xu Hao a massage flashed in her mind. She found it unbearable.
“Feiyan, are you scared?” Xu Hao taunted, using the same tactic she had used on him before.
The fiery personality of Xu Feiyan flared up instantly.
“Who’s scared of who?”
Determined not to be tricked again, she vowed to be careful. The match began. Xu Feiyan launched the first attack, while Xu Hao appeared to be on the defensive, retreating as he fought back.
Seeing this, a smug smile appeared on Xu Feiyan’s lips. She thought to herself that there was no way Xu Hao could truly be her match. She continued to push him back, making sure not to give him any chance to grab her like before.
“What’s that?” Xu Hao suddenly pointed behind her with a look of shock.
Curious despite herself, Xu Feiyan hesitated for a moment.
Taking advantage of her distraction, Xu Hao shifted his position and, before she knew it, the world spun around her. He had thrown her out of the boundary again.
Realizing she’d been tricked, rage filled her eyes.
[Ding! Xu Feiyan’s shame turned to anger. Emotional points +888…]
Xu Hao smiled calmly.
“Trickery is part of battle. You’re lucky it was me. If it had been a real fight, a moment of distraction could’ve cost you your life.”
The twin sisters, acting as referees, walked over and nodded in agreement.
“Dad is right. Getting distracted during a fight is a major weakness. One moment of losing focus, and you’re in danger.”
“Fifth sister, did you hear that? Dad is teaching you. You can’t call yourself a queen if you’re so unprofessional.” They teased.
Xu Feiyan’s face burned with anger. She knew Xu Hao was right, but it didn’t make her any less furious. She had been careless yesterday and distracted today. Grinding her teeth, she forced out,
“Fine. I lost this time. Let’s go again.”
Xu Hao yawned lazily.
“Not today. I’m tired. We’ll continue tomorrow. Right now, I need that massage to relax.”
Feiyan’s anger boiled over. He had stayed up all night without a hint of exhaustion, and now he was suddenly claiming to be tired? Who was he trying to fool? But she had no choice—he had the upper hand. Xu Hao sat back, waiting expectantly, and after a long pause, Feiyan reluctantly approached.
“…Fine.”
She was destined to be a queen. How humiliating it was for her to give a massage.
“Fifth sister, don’t tell me you don’t know how to give a massage? If you don’t, come here and watch me.” Xu Shiqing said, stepping in confidently. She began massaging Xu Hao skillfully, showing she had done this many times before.
Watching her sister’s practiced movements, Xu Feiyan felt a wave of disbelief. What had become of her sisters?
After spending the entire day massaging Xu Hao, Xu Feiyan’s arms were sore. That evening, she saw her third sister, Xu Hongjiao, approaching with a basin of warm water. She obediently set it down in front of Xu Hao and began washing his feet.
Xu Feiyan was stunned.
“Third sister, aren’t you a famous star with millions of fans? How can you be washing someone’s feet with those hands that play the piano and hold a microphone?”
[Ding! Xu Feiyan was shocked. Emotional points +788…]
Still reeling from the sight of her sister lowering herself to such a task, Feiyan faced a new challenge on the third day. In another match against Xu Hao, he revealed the new stakes:
“Whoever loses has to wash the winner’s feet.”
She lost again. Despite her determination and focus, Xu Hao outmaneuvered her. This time, she only had to bring water at night, but the humiliation was enough to make her avoid Xu Hao. She chose to go shopping with her sisters instead, leaving Xu Hao behind.
The sisters invited Xiao Wanling to join them, but she declined, preferring to stay home and practice tea-making. Once they left, Xiao Wanling eagerly approached Xu Hao.
“Uncle Xu, it’s been a while since you taught me about tea. Can we continue today?”
“Of course.” Xu Hao replied.
With that, Xiao Wanling brought out the tea set, ready to learn step by step in the sunny courtyard.
…
Meanwhile, in a taxi, a driver spoke animatedly to a young man in the passenger seat.
“Why are you going to the Xu family? Do you know Mr. Xu? He’s a great man!”
“Mr. Xu is a well-known philanthropist in our city. Thanks to him, my kids can go to school safely. May he always be well.”
Zheng Feifan, sitting beside the driver, listened with a heavy heart. He had just returned from the imperial capital, where he handed over evidence of Zhao Media’s illegal activities to the authorities, hoping to resolve his problems. He also tried to uncover the truth behind his father’s death, only to find that Zhao Media’s CEO wasn’t involved.
A friend in the underworld had told him, “The truly dangerous ones don’t show their evil. They control everything from the shadows.”
The words struck Zheng Feifan deeply. Memories of his encounters with Xu Hao surfaced. Everything had seemed normal but also unsettling.
Was Xu Hao really behind it all?
Unsure but suspicious, he rushed back to investigate.
