Chapter 232: Subsequent Fall Part 59.6: Flight
Angel was soaring around as Mu was throwing several different debris from the city at her. Angel was gliding around with every opportunity to be hit by Mu and his other type of psychic attacks. His understanding of the abilities she has allowed him to approach it slowly. Waiting for a mistake to happen on her end.
She looked at him as she needed to prod at his defense. Soaring around a skyscraper she tried to divebomb on him, only to meet the building crashing down on her as she soared through it in the tight corridors and windows, tucking herself tight and making sure she came out the other side without a scratch.
Another building was crashing down as she twisted around it as much as she could, glass shards skimming her skin as they gave her stacks despite her confusion as she glided farther away with Mu chasing her from the ground.
All Angel was running through her head is how her ability worked to its fullest. Any contact deemed from the damage source of someone who is attacking her adds to her stacks, or is it because of his soul the attacks were able to add to her ability? She wouldn't have a moment to truly question it as she kept moving around.
Mu had enough of the game of chase as he extended his hand and pulled it down towards himself. Pulling Angel down to the ground with a slam as the thud of the ground shook the area as glass sprinkled down from the buildings around them. Mu walked to face her as she couldn't pull herself from the ground, being compressed by the psychic powers of Mu.
"Ah, the one beast with wings, what an abomination and a terrible sight." Mu spoke as Angel's wings flared up, slowly getting up through the powers holding her down as Mu extended his hand out, mere inches from her head. "Say goodbye to your memories and how to even function as a human, no memories, and no way to survive." His hand reached out as he was to touch her head.
Strands of her hair glided through his hands as she felt a fog wash over her, before being filled with an overwhelming brightness as she looked up. Her wings were acting as their own, instinct took over as much as her abilities and thought did. Mu cackled as the resistance was futile, she didn't even have a weapon. "Where are you going, you can't escape me!" Mu extended his hand once more trying to pull her back in.
Each pull of the direction she instantly turned the other way, it wasn't a complete manipulation of gravity like she had practiced against, all she could do was redirect her body as she felt like each molecule in her body was being pulled separately apart. The parts that hurt her the most was the feathers from her wings felt like they were being plucked from her plumage.
Losing focus for a moment she was slammed into the ground while failing to account for a change in the pulls as Mu closed the gap and threw a punch as Angel looked up to her attacker on her knees. This couldn't be the end. "HIT THE NEXT GEAR LIKE HOW YOU DO!" Angel shouted out as she slid her legs out getting as low to the ground as possible, her normal blonde hair slowly shifting into red highlights as Mu threw his punch downward.
The wind force from her wings bought her the second she needed as she flew behind Mu and held her spear in both of her hands behind her back, all the loose feathers slowly flew to her side, forming a halo ring above her head as Mu cackled once more. "You can't defeat me, not now, not ever." He closed the gap as she parried each one of his blows with her spear.
All of her fallen feathers hovered above her head as she felt the anger flow through her as Mu made one fatal mistake as he whiffed a punch past her. Feeling the feathers from her head pierced his back like needles into a pin cushion. The pain on his back felt immense like all the emotion from her attack added power into the attack.
Mu backpedaled a handful of steps while the feathers dug deeper into his skin. His anger overwhelmed him as he fired off telekinetic blasts to try and knock off Angel's balance as he failed to realize the last thing to be the nail in the coffin for him. The ground turned into a magic circle as Angel received the bonus of perfection.
Mu kept throwing everything he had at her, debris, glass, the ground and light was thrown at her as she dashed side to side. Blocking the attacks with ease as her spear was moving fast enough to block the light spears coming and attacking her as the feathers in his back dug into the organs as Mu started to cough blood as he stumbled. Glass shards from his attack slashed open all of her clothes as blood started to slowly ooze from the cuts as she fed into her stacks.
"I never realized that this was the way to get this done and to be this powerful, we can beat him." Angel was gone in a blink of the eye and vanished as Mu fell to his knees, coughing blood and laughing.
"If you think you could beat him yourself, you are insane like your father." Mu tried to stand as all he heard was a whistle as his head hit the ground. Angel stomped the skull as the blood gushed across the ground. She looked at his body as she diced it into pieces with her spear as from the little device in his ear, backup was requested.
"I hope you realize all you can do is stall him." Angel spoke into the mic as she looked to the sky, a dent came from the Merle as she realized Adam was in the fight of his life. She wanted to go help him as she felt woozy, the fog was digging deeper. Why would she help someone she didn't know. She grabbed her head, even if she killed him the spell persisted still.
She sat down on the ground as she rubbed her head, she didn't want to forget. All the memories she had she needed to keep. As she buried her head into her chest and legs she just wanted to remember two things. Her brother and her family. She tried to focus all of her possible brain processing on that while she heard the battles rage on around her.
"You can cure me Astral, I believe in you, win and come help me, we will take care of the other one for you, please." Tears streamed down her face as she didn't want to forget all the precious memories she had made. 'I can make new memories, right?' She sniffled as she did whatever possible to cheer herself up. Curling up tighter as she covered herself with her wings. Feeling a familiar tap on her back.
