Ashen Dragon

Chapter 175 Dispute and Outcome

The Rock Dwarf roared toward the sky, swinging his arms to hurl a colossal, ten-thousand-ton stone with a diameter of over ten meters at the Red Dragon soaring above.

This was no ordinary stone; it was a terrifying weapon imbued with the Divine Power of the earth. The force contained within it, once unleashed, could cause a majestic Floating City to crash to the ground and crumble into ruins.

Yet, the Red Dragon was utterly fearless. He opened his massive maw, unleashing a torrent of terrifying Dragonflame from deep within his throat. The Dragon Crystal in his chest glowed like a miniature sun, radiating brilliance a thousandfold.

"Boom!"

With the sound of air shattering, a blinding Pillar of Fire streaked through the sky like a massive red-and-white Great Sword. It pierced through the colossal rock, causing it to explode spectacularly mid-air.

The burning fragments of rock scattered like heavenly rain, cascading toward the earth and triggering a series of devastating explosions upon impact. Yet, compared to the awe-inspiring battle between Cassius and Du Masong, these explosions were but insignificant sparks.

After penetrating the gigantic stone, the Pillar of Fire imbued with the Sun God Power continued its trajectory, tearing toward Du Masong's Material Plane vessel—the mortal body of Ed.

But the Titan-like Rock Dwarf stood tall and imposing, with countless indestructible gemstones sprouting from his arms, coalescing into a transparent, gleaming Giant Shield with exceptionally smooth edges.

This Gemstone Giant Shield, hexagonal in shape, stretched over thirty meters in length. If sliced, one couldn't even fathom how many exquisite luxury jewelry pieces it would yield.

It's worth noting that Du Masong, the Controller of mineral veins, had commandeered all gemstones buried within a hundred-mile radius underground for this battle.

"Boom!"

Two potent elemental forces collided. The Gemstone Giant Shield successfully fended off Cassius's fiery assault, its surface glowing brilliantly and even reflecting portions of the heat back.

Behind the shield, Du Masong hefted his Molten Rock Hammer. As magma surged from the earth, countless shards of iron, copper, gold, silver, mithril, and other metals burst forth like reverse rain, streaking toward the Red Dragon circling in the sky.

"Roar!"

Upon witnessing this, Cassius let out a thunderous cry. The Authority of the Fire Elemental Plane was activated in full force, raining fiery meteors down from the sky to clash against the razor-sharp metallic shards.

For a time, the sky was dominated by meteors and flames, while the earth was enshrouded in an endless deluge of metallic fragments. Their clashes created roiling fire clouds in the heavens, and burning fragments of metal rained down in every direction.

These precious metals, remarkably pure and copious in quantity, would ordinarily incite frenzied bloodshed among mortals vying for them. But at this moment, everyone gazed in terrified awe at the distant cataclysmic battle, trembling amidst the apocalyptic chaos.

"Boom!"

Du Masong swung the Molten Rock Hammer with ferocity, striking the ground beneath him. The earth groaned deeply as countless sharp pillars of rock erupted skyward. Though reminiscent of Ed's technique, the scale here was uniquely horrifying.

Each rock column soared to heights of a hundred meters, resembling towering peaks or giant swords piercing the heavens. They thrust toward the Red Dragon's abdomen, neck, and other critical areas.

Yet Cassius moved with incredible speed. His Dragon Wings beat once, and with a single "whish," he stirred up a violent storm, his massive frame transforming into a dazzling scarlet silhouette darting through the fire clouds.

His velocity was so staggering that mortal eyes could no longer track him. All they could glimpse were the ominous trails left behind in the fire clouds, occasionally glimpsing his scales and talons.

Meanwhile, thunderbolts crackled and descended from the heavens, striking toward Du Masong's head. Simultaneously, miniature suns—the terrifying fireballs—rained down from multiple directions.

Any one of these fearsome attacks could have claimed the life of an ordinary giant dragon, yet they had no impact on the Dwarf God manifesting before them.

Du Masong's fiercest gaze sharpened as his body stood firm. Mithril and fine gold emerged from his skin, forming a high-magic-resistance armor that deflected the thundering strikes.

From his Silver Fires Eyes emanated blinding radiance, as the fireballs detonated mid-air, their tongues of flame sucked into the Molten Rock Hammer as nourishment.

Soon, the roiling fire clouds began descending toward the ground like a sweeping tsunami, suffusing the surface with scalding steam hot enough to char mortal flesh.

Still, the thunder, flames, and fire clouds were nothing more than distractions conjured by Cassius. By this time, he had soared to the heights of ten thousand meters, preparing for a diving strike.

A fierce wind roared as sulfur-laden gunpowder smoke filled the air. The entire world seemed to tremble beneath the downward charge of the Red Dragon.

Du Masong tightened his grip on the Molten Rock Hammer and raised the Gemstone Giant Shield, standing ready. His enormous frame exuded an earthy yellow glow, heavy and foreboding.

At the next moment, the Red Dragon shot through the fire clouds and dense smoke, spewing dark red Breath of Chaos directly toward Du Masong!

"Boom!"

That collision was earth-shaking, sending shudders across the world!

The crust sank several meters under the Red Dragon's assault, fracturing like a densely woven spiderweb as countless magma torrents surged forth.

The Blackstone Mountain Range trembled violently, quaked, and experienced massive landslides, burying countless creatures beneath stone and soil.

Despite the protection of the Gemstone Giant Shield, Du Masong was caught off guard, thrown deep into the ground by the ferocious strike.

He struggled furiously, swinging the Molten Rock Hammer with all his might. Its head radiated an earthy yellow aura, imbued with space-shattering power, as it smashed toward the Red Dragon's skull.
