Chapter 111: Chapter 111: So, You Like Playing Bondage Games?
[T/N: Check out my friend's fanfic— "Hentai Conquest: Starting From Kuroinu"]
Bruce coughed a few times, brushing off his cape as he pushed himself to sit up.
Before him stood Wonder Woman, now armed with a shield that hadn't been there moments ago.
If not for her intervention, blocking that shockwave, Bruce had no doubt he'd already be making his way to heaven.
Batman glanced behind him. Only a solitary skyscraper remained intact amidst the ruins. Everything else had been reduced to rubble. The devastation stretched endlessly across what was once the bustling Metropolis.
"Thanks," Bruce rasped, his voice gravelly.
Wonder Woman shook her head, her attention fixated on a figure in the distance, obscured by swirling dust and debris. Her eyes burned with fury, the kind she hadn't felt since the Great War.
With a grunt, she launched herself toward the shadowy figure.
---
Hovering mid-air, Homelander let the winds swirl around him as he surveyed the scene below. The enormous crater beneath him was littered with the shredded remains of Doomsday—a pulpy mess of flesh and bone.
Yet the remnants twitched and pulsed, slowly crawling toward each other, seeking to reform.
Such is the nature of Doomsday—a weapon of flesh, endlessly regenerating and adapting.
Suddenly, Homelander's hands jerked. A golden lasso had tightened around his torso without warning.
Turning his head, he spotted Wonder Woman standing firm on the ground, her grip on the Lasso of Truth unwavering.
"Ah, so you're into bondage games," Homelander quipped, his gaze wandering over her form.
"You're stunning, you know," he said, his voice dropping to a silky smooth tone. "Among all the women I've ever met, you're the most captivating. Conquering someone like you? That must be every man's dream."
Then his eyes twinkled as he added, "Oops. Did I just say that out loud? Guess the Lasso of Truth really lives up to its name."
Wonder Woman's voice was like steel. "You've gone too far."
She tightened her grip. "Today may be a holiday, and the city center may be sparsely populated, with most civilians evacuated by the military beforehand. But do you know how many lives you just destroyed with that single punch?"
Homelander nodded nonchalantly. "So, are you here to judge me?"
Before she could answer, he tilted his head toward the crater. "By the way, it's not dead yet."
"It doesn't matter," Wonder Woman said, her confidence unwavering. "If it gets up again, I'll take it down."
Homelander chuckled. "You have no idea what you're up against."
"I've faced monsters before." She smiled faintly. "And now, you're just another."
From behind her, she drew the God-Killer Sword. Runes shimmered faintly along its blade, exuding a divine pressure that seemed to silence even the chaotic winds.
With a mighty tug, she yanked the Lasso of Truth, pulling Homelander toward her, and raised the God-Killer high to cleave him in two.
Homelander's grin widened. His eyes blazed with golden light, releasing scorching beams of energy.
Wonder Woman raised her sword to block the rays, but the blade's temperature surged alarmingly. Around her, the air grew blisteringly hot, climbing to a searing 6,000 degrees Fahrenheit in mere seconds—and then 10,000.
The ground beneath her feet melted, turning molten like ice in the midday sun.
Then, with no warning, the beams exploded outward.
---
Far away, Batman barely managed to fire his grappling gun, hooking onto the second-floor window of a crumbling building. The explosion's shockwave hurled him into the room just as flames roared past, setting the world ablaze.
The heat was so intense that the windows melted instantly, their frames dripping like molten metal. Even the walls began to glow red, their molecular structures breaking down under the assault.
Bruce rolled to his feet, barely escaping as the building shook violently. Every surface radiated heat, smoke rising in hazy plumes.
Quickly, he vacated the building, catching sight of its exterior. The entire facade facing Homelander had been charred black, with cracks spidering across its surface.
The structure groaned ominously.
---
Back on the battlefield, Wonder Woman lowered the God-Killer Sword. The crimson glow that had enveloped it was fading, its once-mighty aura now faint and subdued.
But before she could recover, a shadow loomed through the smoke. Homelander charged her at breakneck speed.
Reacting instinctively, Wonder Woman ducked, letting him soar past, before twirling the Lasso of Truth and flinging him across the battlefield.
Homelander tumbled through the air, coming to a halt a thousand meters away.
He adjusted his posture mid-air, prepared to rush back, but then a flicker of light caught his attention.
From the center of the crater, golden arcs of electricity danced across the ground. The smoke swirled and parted, revealing a grotesque, pulsating cocoon.
It tore open.
Emerging from the shell was Doomsday, reborn.
The creature stood taller than before, now over four meters in height. Its body was wreathed in crackling energy, its eyes glowing with untamed power. Jagged bone spurs erupted from its body, jutting out like weapons.
With an earth-shaking roar, it unleashed an electromagnetic pulse-like shockwave, sending both Homelander and Wonder Woman flying backward.
Crouching low, Doomsday sprang into the air, slamming back into the earth with meteoric force. A tidal wave of debris spread outward, tearing across the battlefield.
---
Wonder Woman stared in disbelief at the monstrosity. Its strength and ferocity were far beyond anything she had faced before.
Above her, a voice spoke.
"See? Told you it wasn't dead yet."
Homelander descended beside her, his smirk firmly in place.
"What's your plan?" she demanded.
"Kill it," he said simply.
"Then why didn't you finish it earlier?"
"Where's the fun in that? If it's too easy, it's boring."
"You're insane." Wonder Woman shook her head.
Just then, Batman appeared on Homelander's other side. "What now?"
Hovering slightly, Homelander glanced at the two. "You two keep it busy. I'll handle the rest."
Without waiting for a response, he soared into the air, speeding toward Doomsday.
Wonder Woman sighed. "I don't trust him."
"Neither do I," Batman replied grimly. "But do we have a choice?"
He glanced toward the heavens.
"God has abandoned us. If we're to survive, it's up to us now."
---
Far from the chaos, in a hotel on the city's outskirts, Linda groaned as she pushed herself off the carpet.
"What just happened?" she mumbled, sitting down and clutching her head. "Was that an earthquake? That was terrifying."
A knock came at the door.
"Is anyone in there? Please evacuate immediately! Don't take the elevators—use the fire escape!"
Scrambling to her feet, Linda moved toward the door.
"I wonder if Mr. John from next door is alright," she murmured.
But when she opened the door, she wasn't greeted by the hotel hallway.
Instead, swirling, iridescent lights filled her vision, bathing her in their brilliance.
