ARCANE LEGACY: The Journey Of The Unknown

Chapter 18: Chapter 18 – Fire vs Ice: Show vs Drake

The magical stadium dimmed once again, only to be lit by flickers of flame and shards of frost. The final matchup of the Grand Ranking Trial's first round was now on display for all to witness:

> Show vs Drake

Two of the academy's most talked-about students.

---

🔥 The Calm Before the Storm

Show walked into the ring with his usual fiery energy, his steps echoing confidence. Drake was already standing at the center, his arms crossed, eyes cold as ever.

> Show (grinning):

"Guess we finally get to settle this."

> Drake (coolly):

"I didn't come here to make friends. Especially not loud ones like you."

> Show:

"Tch. Good. Let's fight then."

A small smirk formed on Drake's lips.

> Drake:

"Don't disappoint me, flame boy."

---

⚔️ Battle Begins

The bell rang—and Show immediately dashed forward, flames erupting around his fists. He launched Blazing Barrage, quick jabs enhanced with bursts of fire. Drake dodged gracefully, countering with Ice Shards, which Show melted mid-air.

> Karen:

"He's fast… Drake's not taking this lightly."

> Hibiki:

"Let's go Show!! Burn him—no wait, not literally!"

Show turned up the pressure, using Fire Dash to circle Drake and land a solid punch. Drake was knocked back, skidding on the arena floor.

> Raelyn:

"Show gained momentum… impressive."

---

❄️ The Field of Ice

Drake stood up, brushing ash off his coat.

> Drake:

"Not bad. But I'm not losing to you."

He clapped his hands—and frost exploded from the ground. The entire battlefield began freezing over. Small ice stone pillars erupted all around, turning the arena into a maze of ice and mirrors.

> Show (smirking):

"Hah. Trying to cool me off? Bring it!"

Drake's movements became harder to read—he used the pillars to reflect his attacks, launching Ice Spears from unexpected angles.

Show burned through some with Flame Pulse, but the pressure was rising.

---

🔥❄️ Fire Meets Ice

The two clashed again, flames colliding with frost. Each step cracked the battlefield further—heat and cold twisting the very air between them.

> Narrator:

"Two forces—opposites in nature, equal in spirit—fighting not just to win, but to prove their resolve."

As the duel intensified, neither backed down.

Both had scars. Both had pride. And both were ready to give it their all.
