ARCANE LEGACY: The Journey Of The Unknown

Chapter 12: Chapter 12 – Flames Beyond Fire

The cave blazed like a furnace.

Show's flames, now edged in golden mana, roared with a life of their own—wings of fire flaring behind him like a divine phoenix.

Veil, usually composed, narrowed his eyes.

> Veil: "So… the stone chose you."

Show stepped forward, fire swirling at his fists.

> "No… I chose this fire."

⚔️ Final Clash – Fire Breaks the Shadows

Veil launched forward, his shadow tendrils whipping around like vipers.

But this time, Show moved faster—his flames burned brighter, cutting through darkness like a sun through fog.

Veil's attacks were smothered mid-air, his strikes parried with molten fists.

> Show (charging forward): "Fire Pulse – Incineration Fang!!"

A massive fire-dragon shaped burst erupted from his punch, swallowing Veil's spell whole and crashing into him—BOOM!

The shadow magic shattered into harmless mist.

Veil hit the ground, stunned.

He laughed, lying in the glow of the Mana Stone.

> "Well then… looks like you pass."

🎭 The Truth of Veil

As the dust settled, Veil stood up, pulling off his mask and cloak to reveal a surprisingly youthful face beneath.

> "Name's Veil Duskryn. Second-year. And apparently your test."

Everyone froze.

> Chris: "Wait—you're a student?!"

> Karen: "Are you kidding me?!"

Veil shrugged.

> "Orders from Principal Alden. He wanted to see if you were the real deal… or just loud."

Show, still catching his breath, raised an eyebrow.

> "He could've just asked."

Veil smirked.

> "But then we wouldn't have known."

🧙 Return to Arcane Academy

Back at the Academy, the group stood once more before Principal Alden, who examined the Mana Stone, now dim but still humming with hidden energy.

> Alden: "You did well."

He looked straight at Show.

> "This Mana Stone… does not react to ordinary magic. It responded to you because your fire isn't born of simple flame. It's something deeper. Ancient."

The room grew still.

> Alden: "This wasn't just a mission. It was the first key. The stone may be one of several… and if that's true, we're only beginning to uncover what lies beneath Arcania ."

Everyone went away from there, but many mysteries were still not ready to get unfolded
