An Uncaring Anomaly

 I made my grand escape by jogging nearly three blocks away I bumped into a person. Catching myself I watch as the other person fell on their ass and rub their head. 'Green hair freckles, and green eyes. Yep this is the main dude, Time to build some favorable reputation with the cast. "Hey sorry wasn't watching where I was going" I said smiling showing some teeth.

 {Izuku's POV}

"N-no it w-was my f-faul-" Looking up I see another kid like me in a blue hoodie stretching out his hand but his eyes glowing a faint red giving me an eerie feeling like I'm starring at a beast or a monster. Realizing I was staring too long I stammer and hesitantly reach for his hand not wanting to be rude. "S-Sorry for staring and t-thank you, B-but I insist".

"HAH! don't be silly I was running like an idiot not watching where I was going. At least let me pay for some of those items that you dropped" Looking down I see some of the groceries on the floor. "Y-You don't ne-" I began but was interrupted. "I insist its the least I could do. "But I am q-quirkless" I said almost tearing up. "And when did it really matter if you were, After all so am I." He said offering more cash than I paid for the groceries. "Consider the extra the fee for spending more of your time to go back." He insisted with a toothy smile as stretched out his hand a little more. "I-I umm ok, But c-can I have y-your name?" I nearly cried at his kindness.

"Of course but only if I have yours first". I smiled and responded. "My n-name is De-. Izuku its I-Izuku." I stuttered out lamely looking away in embarrassment not wanting to see the reaction to my stuttering. "The name is...Hunter, You can call me Hunter" He said still smiling not batting an eye to my mess up.

I smiled a little more as he didn't mind my mess up. Reaching out he gave me the wad of cash. "Do you need me to help you carry those to where ever you are going." He asked his smile still present. "I-if you want t-to t-then its fine w-with me." I said still a little warry of the presence he gave off.

"I did offer so why wouldn't I" He stated. Now looking at it he was shorter than me by quite a margin. "I-if you don't m-mind me asking, H-how old are you?" I asked seeing his smile nearly falter as I asked. "I am fourteen" He said his smile a little forced. "Oh I'm p-pretty sure t-that you'll get b-bigger" I responded rubbing the back of my head. "Ouch".

"N-no I-I-I-" I tried backtracking and was interrupted again. "I was just pulling your leg" He chuckled and I sheepishly smiled scratching the back of my head again.

 {MC POV}

Taking a closer look Izuku seemed very girly took me a second to see the boy in him but hey its izuku It'll be sorta hard. "So then lets go and get your stuff" I told him giving him a light pat on the back as we salvaged the rest of his groceries and went back were he came from. "So do you like heroes". I asked already knowing the answer.

"Yeah of course I do, I admire All Might the most and people like..." I listened to him ramble on about the heroes and the time they debuted as well as the number of heroes he looks up to. I simple questions like who saved the most, and who is better in which situation. As we exit the store I turn to him. "Wow you know so much about them, Do you want to be a hero to?" I asked still smiling somewhat interested in what he had to say.

He went a little quiet looking at me a little shyly it was almost cute. "Y-yeah I-I do" he said looking away a little. 'I guess he expects me to criticize him.' "Great cause to do I, I want to be the best hero that I could be. So don't give up cause I know you can be a hero too." This took him by surprise and I see him tear up, covering his mouth he somewhat sobs into his hand. Me being the nicest human being on the planet I pat his back and gave him a hug letting him cry into my shoulder.

"Thank you so much, This is the first time anyone has said that to me" Izuku said rubbing his eyes and trying to stifle his sobs. I continued to pat his back letting him ride out emotions. "C'mon lets drop these off back at your house" I said gesturing to the to the bags in mine and his hand. "Oh yeah s-sorry about that."

"There is no need to apologize. Thinking on it now you might have wanted to hear those words from a loved one or at least a friend that you've known longer than me." He slowly backs away from me and wipes the remaining tears from his face and nods. "alright lets keep going my friend."

Reaching his house he knocks on the door and we hear foot steps getting closer to the door as another Greenette opening the doorway. "Oh Izuku I started to get worried and who is your new friend." She said worry written all across her face with massive tears threatening to flood out. "No I'm alright mom." Izuku said as I watched them hug and talked introducing me to his mother and vise versa. "Well hello Hunter as you heard I am Inko Midoriya Izuku's mother."

"Hello Miss Midoriya as your son said I am Hunter." I responded smiling softly towards the both of them. "No last name?" Inko questioned "Unfortunately not." I continued, Handing the bags to Izuku. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that may I asked what happened" She asked with concern lacing her voice. "I don't know never knew them" I responded almost nonchalantly. "What about any orphanages, Weren't you sent to any". She asked again a hint of sadness already tearing up along with her son. 'Is this what they call hook line and sinker' I thought as I opened my mouth to respond. "the one I was at burned down leaving me alone in the streets at five." I lied.

"Oh my goodness" Inko burst into tears Izuku following suit. I was quick enough to react and enhance myself with more than half of my mana which should have gave me an 5 times booster and yet my ribs and internal organs were almost crushed by both green haired daemons.

Stumbling I lean against the door way patting myself down from my first near death. "Where do you stay now." Izuku asked worried about my well being. Taking a second to catch my breath I responded. "the alleys in the city."

The both of them gasp then started to explain what was going on. "There is a mass murderer out there, The authorities say he has some sort of knife or cutting quirk". "really?" I asked. Inko nodded "The police had already found two more bodies today bringing the count up to 250." Izuku stated looking at me with more worry now. "I really hope the Heroes find and bring him to justice." He continued. "I know I've only know since today but I don't want you to be out there and get hurt" Izuku said once more looking at his mom as if asking something.

Inko had a contemplative look before looking at me. "If you want we could let you stay here for some time." I looked at Inko's worried face which reminded me of my own mother. Face softening I agree looking away from her not wanting to see my her.

"Ok ill stay for a night then ill leave, Probably catch Izuku a later time." I smile softly being lead further into the house to an extra room with a spare bed. "You might want to rest now you probably had a long day and haven't had a proper bed to sleep on." Inko said her maternal instincts kicking in seeing what appears to be a child lost and alone despite a dangerous feeling surrounding him .

"perhaps" I said looking at the bed my eyes already drooping as I run my finger on the frame of the bed already crawling on the bed before I knew it. Inko already beside the bed tucked me in. 'I suppose there is another perk of being four ten and a halve' I thought already closing my eyes. the face of inko mixing wtih my mothers.
