An Uncaring Anomaly

 Looking down at myself I patted my body down still in shock After the infamous Truck thing and his gang comboed my ass into oblivion, And the next thing I know I'm in a cave with a blue screen in front of my face.

Closing my eyes and thinking for a second was all i needed to somewhat think of what just happened before opening my eyes again and reading the blue screen. There was most likely no time to cry or freak out at the moment.

I sighed realizing the predicament I was in and was most likely in someone's fanfic.

Well screw there story and what ever plot they had in mind I was not going to be in something I didn't agree to, Other than the way i got here cause there wasn't really anything I could do about that.

'So DanMachi huh? lets see this'. I thought to myself Finally clicking the next button on the screen as I looked around only seeing myself in a cave and different tunnels leaving the current area.

[ You will be starting in the dungeon floor 1 and receive as a beginner 100 max mana ]

After finishing reading it I find myself a bit wary but not to bothered along with the mana bar appearing in the corner of my eye which was weird and at the same time was very cool.

The screen disappeared and I was left alone in the dungeon. sighing I walked in a random direction and noting to myself that I will freak out later when its safer. 

Deciding to mess with the new found power I now have I feel it circulating within me and making it pour out of my finger seeing the bar empty by 6 a second, changing the flow which wasn't hard it slows to two a second and more focused. Stopping and letting it regen which was by one a second. I look around again a grin giving away my excitement and theories as well as the possibilities.

Hearing a noise i see just about three green midgets come out of the wall with what looks to be like stone or weak mettle daggers. "The first of many" I said gaining the attention of the three.

My heart beat got a little faster as a hint of fear and trepidation washed over me as I watched my new enemies came forward. They were much slower than I thought, like children running at me so it came to no surprise to me when one of them jumped at me I pushed it back with some ease. Falling to it's back the other two ran past the first one and stabbed forward which was halted when I grabbed the both of their arms and snapped their arms by accident.

My face set into a grimace as the sound of bones snapping was a little sickening to me. The two leg go of the average sized daggers as I swung the left goblin into the right. Picking up the daggers I went to the first one I pushed and shoved one of the daggers into its head and watched it disperse leaving a tiny rock. Turning to the other two I walked to them as they clumsily picked themselves up. All I needed was one for a test so I holstered the second knife into the goblin on my left leaving the other on the ground which was promptly under my shoe now.

It wriggled and squirmed as concentrated and pointed my finger at it with a small but growing ball of mana that cost quite a bit of my current reserve. It reached the size of a golf ball even holding it like that drained me considerably so I tried to fire it with took a second of figuring out as the goblin wriggled more.

The moment it hit it exploded and and took a chunk of the ground with it as well as throwing me back. "That hurt a bit" I said to myself looking to my mana bar I was left with five and it started to regen again. Picking up the three stones I decided to test with them as well, After all they were somewhat magic. I put two in my pocket and held one in the palm in my hand. I surrounded the marble with my mana. At which it did nothing so I did the opposite and same result. The final test I had in the moment was to swallow it, Opening my mouth and popping it in and swallowing before I could rethink the stupidity of my action. The taste was not that bad actually, 'Maybe all the shit I swallowed as a kid helped with that'? Well "I got the result I wanted from it".

"Looks like I have to become a devour of sorts...eww, Well down the hatch".

I took the other two and swallowed them at least I was eating...sorta. 

 one thing I have to note is how weak and slow the first level is well the goblins that is and my first magic attack that I guess I could call a Ki blast since it looked and acted the same. just a condensed ball of power. The second Is how it is actually somewhat a lot easier to use mana and unlike the anime's controlling it was much easier than anticipated

 I let mana leak from the tip of my finger again trying to see if I could change it in someway by science or by feeling and which earned me a few sparks here and there and thus I had a flame the size of a a lighter that also took a descent amount for just holding it there, Maybe 3 a second? If I push more into it it looks like a modified blowtorch but ill stick to the mana Ki blast bullet things just less powered. Testing the power and distance of the low powered bullet it hit the wall about 5 meters away creating a dent in it with a 3 inch diameter. 'looks like i can only fire about 8 of them before I have to wait to recharge'.

Turns out blowing holes into the wall of a sentient dungeon was grounds for death as about 20 mobs came from the wall a mixture of goblins and kobolds. 'I shouldn't do that again' I thought to myself. The battle wasn't really a battle it was of me moving in a circle and gunning them down as well as setting some of them ablaze with my little blow torch.

It was like dry swallowing pills

'I guess that Elmo meme was true, "It doesn't matter what color you are you all taste the same"'. Chuckling to myself I think of AOE attacks with blasts of mana or an outright fireball. The novelty of magic still had me exited to try so many things. 'first things first I need something like chakra strings I know its versatility even if it wasn't shown in the show of Naruto then maybe could move onto solid constructs of mana'. The massive grin on my face was almost splitting but I couldn't help it as i walk and continued to try and solidify the mana to a string.

As soon as as I was close to completing it a group of 12 monsters were created from the walls and ceiling. 'So the spawn rate is getting higher is it?' I had no problem with this, after all i need more power. 

This time i tried to enhance myself with mana which gave me a little rush but completely drained me within ten seconds. Thankfully mana isn't tied to stamina for me.

so hand to hand was first. Starting out I Sparta kicked the front one into three behind it. I could hear the fragile ribcage snapping like twigs as it brought the three down with him, grabbing a lunging goblin by the arm with the dagger it became my new weapon. Swinging my new tool around i managed to take 5 of the other monsters before the one i was swinging around died and turned into dust.

I finally had enough mana to shoot a couple bullets taking down three more. Having a thought I reeled my hand back and slapped one of the remaining monsters with full force safe to say that its face was torn right off. The three left were I had dealt with with no real effort.
