Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Nautillus
As Koa and his crew continued to stay at Water 7 while waiting for their ship to be finished, Koa taught Urf the six Rokushiki, as he did not plan on letting him eat a Devil Fruit, since it would lessen his combat ability. He also asked Tom if he had an instruction manual for Fishman Karate and offered to exchange it for the Rokushiki manual, to be taught to Urf, which Tom accepted. In the past six months that they stayed in Water 7, Urf managed to learn Fishman Karate, as he could also control water like how a real Fishman would do, while also making great progress on the Rokushiki.
Urf was not the only one that Koa taught, as Enel and Jhin were also taught the Rokushiki—Jhin specializing in Geppo and Soru, and Enel specializing in everything, as he was preparing his body to become stronger. Koa also discussed some practical applications with Enel, as he said that he could make electricity flow into his muscles to promote strength and muscle growth, while also making sure that Enel was not neglecting his stamina training. His Observation Haki, or mantra, also progressed much faster due to the sparring he was undergoing against Greenbull, who had already managed to learn Armament Haki.
Koa was making sure that he was maximizing the full talents of Enel, while making sure that he stayed loyal and was raised properly to follow his principles. As a result, in the past six months of training, Enel's strength blossomed, which showed his great talent, and of course, his great utilization of his strength. While building a routine that Greenbull taught him—the Garp punching method—despite not only using his fists to fight, it was a great way to build character and discipline, with them now using actual boats from the graveyard in Water 7.
Greenbull, who was also continuing his training, was not willing to be surpassed by the newcomers. He managed to create a wooden clone, similar to Hashirama, and they could use his Mori-Mori no Mi, but on a lesser scale. Greenbull was also starting to transform into a wooden statue, not just trees, as he could now make his elemental form similar to the Wood Human Technique of Hashirama. In the past six months, Greenbull's progress was focused on his Armament Haki and his Devil Fruit abilities, as he pushed his limits in every training, making sure that every possible application for his Devil Fruit was explored.
Kuzan also did not neglect his training, as he became even more motivated to train, since there were children who wanted to surpass him. Despite Kuzan not showing anything, he became extremely motivated, as his pride did not allow him to be surpassed by someone born younger than him. So Kuzan approached Koa for another training method, something which Koa decided he was now ready for. Kuzan's body and Armament reserves had grown enough for him to learn how to use Ryuo, or Advanced Armament Haki. His Observation Haki also blossomed, as he could now target where he would be attacked and directly make a hole in that part of his body, to make sure that even with Armament Haki, Kuzan would not be hit by any attacks.
Joichiro, who became busy being a chef, stepped back from training as he became busy managing the restaurant that Koa purchased. The restaurant became packed every minute, as their food was treated as a luxury. Joichiro needed to hire more helpers, chefs, head chefs, and of course, others. He trained them and established a recipe for every item on the menu that they would serve.
Speaking of business, the talk of Koa's restaurant became so popular that their hotel's popularity also grew with it. Koa also started purchasing other buildings to make amusement parks and other things that they could expand into. And for the past six months, they became successful in their own right, which, of course, attracted a lot of enemies and greedy pirates. This culminated in Koa building his own security company, as he hired credible men and trained them to be able to handle pirates with bounties higher than 300 million. Talented, strong, and loyal—it was something that Koa did.
Now, six months later, Water 7 became even more popular with the masses. Not only did those with shipping vessels come here, but also civilians, as it became a tourist destination. Of course, everything has an ending, as Koa and his crew's adventures were not going to end in Water 7. And now, after six months of hiatus, their ship was finally built. Tom finished the entire thing with the help of other shipwrights whom they hired. When Koa and his crew saw the ship, they became silent, as it was breathtaking. Koa nearly shed a tear—but he did not. Greenbull became so excited that he immediately climbed aboard. Greenbull was followed by Enel, Urf, Joichiro, Jhin, Kuzan, Koa, and Tom, as Tom wanted to introduce everything on the ship.
"Let's start our tour," Tom said, as Koa and his crew started cheering. The first place that they were brought to was the lounging area. It was covered in a tough glass material that made viewing the sea possible while still being protected. Then their rooms, the cabin, and storage.
"Enel, come here," Tom then said to Enel, as he needed his help for something. When Enel approached, he pointed into a hole where you could place two hands at the same time. Tom then said to put Enel's hands in them and start releasing his electricity. Enel did it, as an indication color suddenly lit up.
First, it became red, then as Enel released his lightning and increased the voltage, the color suddenly changed to orange, until it became green, which immediately made Tom stop Enel from releasing any more power. What Tom showed was how Enel could fill their backup battery supply, which was stored in a compartment he made. Tom also took them to the propulsion system, where it was full of the giant Jet Dials that Koa collected, as it was the main reason the ship would be sailing. The hallways were made so that even a giant could fit through them without any problems.
The testing of the ship started from noon and finished around 6 p.m., which prompted them to celebrate, as Joichiro started using the kitchen. Iceburg, Cutty Flam, and Kokoro celebrated with the Koa Pirates. As they celebrated, Tom approached Koa to ask something important involving the ship.
"What would you name it?" Tom asked, which made Koa think for a moment. Then he remembered the famous ship from his past life and decided to name it after that.
"Nautillus," Koa answered, which made Tom smile, followed by the crew, as they all had one collective thought—that it was extremely fitting.
