Chapter 451: Chapter 451: Inside Information

Winston looked at his old friend's son in exasperation, his tone annoyed. "Rick, I truly didn't expect your ability to cause so much chaos. Recently, Sean has been busy in North Africa dealing with some issues, and I've been preoccupied with internal matters at the Continental. Who could've guessed that in the meantime, you'd cause such a stir?"

Castle, puzzled by Winston's irritated expression, wasn't sure what he was getting at. However, he had a vague sense that his recent activities had likely been picked up by the Continental Hotel's vast intelligence network. Yet, not knowing the specifics, he pretended to be clueless.

Winston hadn't called Castle here just to scold him; he had serious business to discuss. Not waiting for Castle to continue his act, Winston got straight to the point. "I couldn't believe it when I heard you not only stopped that German guy, Simon, from robbing the Federal Reserve's vault, but instead of laying low afterward, you escalated things. Let's not even talk about how Vincent Adler died, but why on earth would you go head-to-head with Senator William Bracken of New York?

Do you even realize that while Bracken doesn't have a major family backing him, he's still been a senator here for almost ten years? Do you really think that the evidence you and your detective girlfriend have is enough to bring down a sitting senator?"

Castle felt a little indignant, but out of respect for his elder, he held back from retorting and prepared to explain. However, before he could say anything, Winston cut him off with rare authority. "The reason I called you here today is because I just got a very reliable piece of information. Senator Bracken is desperate. He's gone to the Brotherhood of Assassins, planning to have them take you and your detective girlfriend out!

Rick, the Brotherhood of Assassins is no joke. While they don't have a flashy reputation, that's due to their code of conduct. In reality, their assassins are just as good, if not better, than ours from the Continental. In some areas, they're even more deadly!

It's said that the assassins they train have a terrifying lineage of skills. The best among them can even shoot bullets that curve mid-flight. You have to take this seriously; it's no laughing matter!"

Winston was feeling exhausted. If he didn't know how formidable the Brotherhood's assassins were, he might have dismissed Castle's cavalier attitude. But now, he was deeply concerned. As the owner of the Continental in New York, Winston couldn't believe he was now playing the role of a worried guardian to this troublemaker who, upon hearing this information, didn't even flinch.

Castle had not expected that Senator William Bracken would seek revenge through such extreme measures, much less that Bracken would have connections with Sloan, the leader of the Brotherhood of Assassins. Did the senator not realize that the Brotherhood was currently in the midst of an internal conflict? Even if Sloan took the contract, would he dare send his assassins out on a mission, knowing that rogue killer Cross was hunting them down?

Was Sloan out of his mind?

Seeing Castle deep in thought, Winston thought his words had finally struck a nerve, perhaps scaring him a little. Just as Winston was about to offer some comforting words, Castle suddenly chuckled. "Uncle Winston, your intelligence is missing a key detail.

I'm not really worried about the Brotherhood's assassins coming after me, because they're currently too busy dealing with their own internal problems. There's no way they'll send anyone after me or Beckett."

Winston was stunned, not understanding what Castle was implying.

Castle then casually began to explain, in a light-hearted tone, that the Brotherhood's top assassin, Cross, had rebelled after discovering Sloan's secrets. For some time now, Cross had been hunting down Brotherhood assassins. Winston listened, growing increasingly astonished. How was Castle so well-informed about such a top-secret matter?

Castle, respectful of the uncle who had always quietly protected him and his family, didn't hold back any details. He recounted the incident that had taken place at the Metropolitan Tower, where Cross had orchestrated the death of Mr. X, the Brotherhood's second-ranked assassin. This was how Castle had learned of the internal strife within the Brotherhood.

After hearing Castle's account, Winston realized that the young man before him had grown far beyond his expectations. At least in terms of intelligence gathering, Castle was now a force to be reckoned with. Even Winston hadn't known about the Brotherhood's internal turmoil, but Castle had detailed information on it. This meant that Castle had his own sources of intelligence—very reliable ones at that. Clearly, Winston's earlier worries had been unnecessary. Knowing Rick as he did, Winston was sure Castle had taken precautions against the Brotherhood's assassins. Otherwise, why would he have such a deep understanding of the Brotherhood's inner workings?

After sharing what he had learned from his past life memories, Castle spoke lightly again. "Uncle Winston, don't worry about me being ambushed by the Brotherhood. I'm confident they won't even dare leave their New Jersey textile mill hideout, because if they do, Cross is waiting out there, ready to take them down.

And there's something else you might not know: Cross's son was tricked by Sloan into joining the Brotherhood for training. Sloan plans to use Cross's son against him! This has enraged Cross, and now he's in an all-out war with the Brotherhood. So, it's laughable that they're still accepting a contract from Bracken. Looks like it's time for me to teach the Brotherhood a lesson."

Castle casually revealed yet another bombshell about the Brotherhood's internal affairs, leaving Winston completely numb with shock. He couldn't understand how Castle knew so much about the Brotherhood, especially such closely guarded secrets. Cross was said to be the best assassin the Brotherhood had ever produced, a long-range sniper capable of taking out targets from kilometers away. For Sloan to use Cross's son against him? Such secrets weren't something you could learn from casual knowledge of the Brotherhood. Castle's information was incredibly deep.

By now, Winston had long forgotten his earlier concerns about Castle's safety. His curiosity was piqued, and he eagerly wanted to know more about the inner workings of the Brotherhood. For years, the Brotherhood had been both a competitor and enemy to the Continental's assassins. Now, with their internal strife exposed, how could he not use this knowledge to plan a more strategic approach against them?

Castle, amused by Winston's eagerness, generously shared everything he knew about the Brotherhood, combining his past life memories with his current intelligence. He laid bare the Brotherhood's current predicament, not bothering to keep any secrets. After all, if the Brotherhood had dared to conspire with William Bracken to assassinate him, why should he feel any obligation to protect their secrets?

Winston was stunned to realize that this shadowy organization, the Brotherhood of Assassins, was practically an open book to Castle. Even their most secret base location was known to him. Just learning that the Brotherhood's hideout was in the outskirts of North Bergen, New Jersey, was enough to leave Winston immensely satisfied. After all, the deadliest thing about assassins is their ability to remain hidden in the dark. But now that their base had been exposed, what was there to fear? If push came to shove, Winston could send someone to blow the place up. The fact that the Brotherhood's base was no longer a secret felt like a gift.

Armed with this intelligence, Winston realized he could use it to gain even more power within the High Table. The High Table had long been dissatisfied with the Brotherhood, especially their bizarre obsession with a loom they treated as some kind of holy relic. But the Brotherhood had hidden themselves too well, making the High Table hesitant to launch a full-scale attack. Now, however, Winston had Castle's intel on their hideout. How could the Brotherhood hope to stand against the vast resources and manpower of the High Table?
