Chapter 192: Chapter 192: Monster World Intelligence - Nick Fury Dead?
Chapter 192: Monster World Intelligence - Nick Fury Dead?
"Roar!"
On the peak of a high mountain in the center of the island, a Giant Ape tens of meters tall sat on a giant stone. Its furry large feet rested on the cliff face, and in its hand, it held a Steel Chain as thick as an adult's thigh. At the end of the chain hung a ship's Propeller, also made of steel.
The Giant Ape looked at the dense Jungle in the distance, letting out a lazy roar...
The chain in its hand swung listlessly, clanging against the stone wall below, leaving it full of dents. Gravel rustled as it fell!
"What's wrong with King Kong these past two days? Loss of Appetite?"
At the Skull Island Outpost, two Monarch Observers were conducting routine observations of King Kong...
The Black Person Observer looked at the screen in front of him, focusing the video on King Kong's bared Fangs as it roared.
"Looks like it wants to try out the Weapons in its hand. For some reason these past two days, the number of Skullcrawlers on the island has significantly decreased..."
The Observer next to him replied while flipping through the island's Surveillance Footage.
"The number of Skullcrawlers decreasing, isn't that a good thing? Then no Creature should be able to threaten King Kong's safety!"
The Black Person Observer said with a pout.
"That's true!" the White Person Observer said without lifting his head. "But the Bosses upstairs want to use the Skullcrawlers to hone this Titan, to help it grow!"
"What? Help King Kong grow? Are you saying it's not big enough already?"
The Black Person Observer pointed at the Giant Ape, tens of meters tall, on the screen, spreading his hands in a gesture of confusion.
"King Kong is the only Titan among the seventeen Outposts that shows friendliness towards Humanity..."
The White Person Observer saved all the Video to the Hard Drive as usual, rotated his Seat to face his colleague, and said mysteriously:
"I think the real intention from above is to use King Kong to deal with other Titans!"
"So that's why we specifically dropped such a ship's Propeller connected to a Chain!" The Black Person Observer mused.
"Bingo!" The White Person Observer snapped his fingers.
"This is a Weapon specifically crafted for King Kong based on its past combat habits! Looks like it really likes it!"
The White Person Observer looked at King Kong holding the Steel Chain in the Surveillance footage, saying with some regret, "Too bad those Skullcrawlers from before don't know where they ran off to. Otherwise, we could have seen King Kong slaughtering that group of Lizards! That would be much more exciting than a Hollywood Blockbuster! I even prepared my Snacks!"
Saying this, the White Person Observer pulled open his drawer, which was filled with a pile of Snacks.
Just as the White Person Observer was regretfully eating his treasured Snacks.
King Kong sat on the mountain peak, searching around for a long time, but couldn't find its old nemesis.
Those annoying Skullcrawlers from before hadn't been seen even once these past two days.
...
In the Subterranean World, four Ghoul White Bone Banners fluttered in the wind, the sound of White Bone Joints colliding ringing incessantly.
Black Mist, so thick you couldn't see your hand in front of your face, permeated an Area of dozens of miles.
From time to time, the wails of King Kong's nemeses could be heard from within the Black Mist—
At this moment, in the mountain Valley Basin over a hundred miles away, the Skullcrawlers that were originally densely packed now only numbered two or three sparse ones.
A Sword Light flew from High Altitude, landing on the mountain peak. The Sword Light materialized, revealing Tang Song's slightly disheveled figure.
In the Sky, a dark mass of Giant Bats flapped their Wings above Tang Song's head. Hundreds of Giant Bats with wingspans of four to five meters emitted piercing Ultrasonic Waves towards Tang Song, yet dared not swoop down, clearly having suffered losses from Tang Song before.
Boss Tang hadn't done anything excessive, merely setting a trap with the Ghoul White Bone Banner and killing half of the Giant Bats.
These Giant Bats looked at Tang Song, who was covered by the Great Desolation Bell. After testing that the Ultrasonic Waves were useless against him, they directly flapped their Wings and left.
Tang Song glanced at the Giant Bat group flying away in the High Altitude but didn't pursue them. These Bats weren't much, but they were all Subordinates of another Big Guy.
That Giant Beast was at least fifty meters tall, with a wingspan no less than one hundred and twenty meters. It also looked like a Giant Bat, but its mouth was filled with Dagger-like Sharp Teeth, and its Tail was very long, covered in Spikes at the end.
A few days ago, Tang Song originally wanted to thoroughly explore this Subterranean World. He ended up encountering this group of Giant Bats. After setting a trap and hunting half of the Giant Bats, he drew out that Big Guy. It could emit an Ultrasonic Wave Scream. Tang Song, completely unprepared at the time, was almost knocked unconscious by the Vibration of the Ultrasonic Wave.
If not for several protective Magic Tools warning him, he would probably be Bat droppings by now.
Tang Song estimated that even Titans like Mingshe and King Skull Lizard would be finished if they encountered this intensity of Ultrasonic Wave Attack.
Later, Tang Song also found a Method to counter this Ultrasonic Wave Attack, which was to summon the Great Desolation Bell and use its Bell sound to contend with the super Giant Bat's Ultrasonic Wave.
After finding a way to deal with the super Giant Bat's Ultrasonic Wave Attack, Tang Song felt at ease exploring this Monster Subterranean World for a few days.
The reason for adding the word "Monster" before Subterranean World was, firstly, to distinguish it from another Subterranean World, and secondly, because all Creatures in this Subterranean World were extraordinarily large.
Exploring two to three hundred miles outside the Valley, Tang Song encountered more than just one type of Creature similar to the Giant Bat.
There were Hellhawks, which had the head of an owl, bird-like Feet and Claws, and Bat-like Wings. They were easily angered carnivorous animals.
Their wingspan could reach seven meters, and they could fly at a Speed of one hundred kilometers per hour. They also had a thick layer of hide armor on their backs, covered in serrated Spikes, forming a hump.
Their back armor was very hard. Tang Song had tested it; ordinary light Machine Guns couldn't penetrate their back armor. He finally had to use his Sword Pill to pierce its brain to kill it—
The main Attack Weapons of these Hellhawks were their beaks and Claws. Judging by their sharpness, they could easily tear through Steel.
Besides the Hellhawks, Tang Song also encountered a Giant Crab, at least fifteen meters tall, with a stone outer shell like a hermit crab. It was a predator skilled in camouflage and Ambush.
They could dig Underground Tunnels at extremely high Speed. This digging Behavior could even cause Earthquake-like Vibration, and these large Crabs were not slow when moving on the Ground either.
They had multiple pincers that could extend and retract from their shell. When the pincers were retracted into the shell, they looked like a rock, easily blending into the surrounding environment, making it impossible for prey to discern its true form before it attacked.
A fifteen-meter-sized camouflaged Giant Crab could be a terrifying Giant Beast on the surface, but in a Subterranean World overrun by Giant Beasts, this kind of Crab was clearly at the bottom of the Food Chain.
The first time Tang Song saw this kind of Giant Crab was in the mouth of a Four-legged Scale Lizard.
That giant Lizard was even larger than a King Skull Lizard. Its back and shoulders were covered with rows of Spikes and bone Skin, and its head was short and sturdy, with a lower jaw full of large Teeth.
It ate the Giant Crab as easily as a Human eating a crab claw, biting the Giant Crab's rock shell into Shattered pieces in just two bites.
Besides the Giant Crab and this Four-legged Scale Lizard, Tang Song also encountered a green flying monster and an Eight-legged Giant Beast.
The former was entirely green, with a wingspan of over a meter, and a long horn on its forehead covered in Spikes, somewhat resembling a winged stick insect.
The latter had eight legs, with one pair of front limbs longer than the other six.
When its mouth was closed, its head was oval-shaped. When its mouth opened, it split into six lobes, opening almost one hundred and eighty degrees, capable of eating a lot of Things in one bite.
This thing was like a giant worm with legs. Its Skin had an uneven texture, covered with large ridges like crocodile Skin.
Tang Song had only explored the Area within three hundred miles near this Basin and had already seen seven or eight types of Giant Beasts. If he went further out, Tang Song estimated he could encounter even more fantastical giant Creatures.
However, Tang Song restrained his curiosity. Even with the Great Desolation Bell protecting him, wandering around in a world overrun by Giant Beasts was ultimately somewhat dangerous.
Tang Song stood on the mountain peak and spread his hands. The four Ghoul White Bone Banners rose from the Ground, continuously shrinking as they flew towards Tang Song. By the time they reached his palm, the four Ghoul White Bone Banners had become palm-sized.
In the Valley grassland below, Skullcrawler Corpses lay everywhere, like a dry riverbed covered with hundreds and thousands of dead Fish.
These were the Flesh and Blood Tang Song had specifically left behind, intending to use them for the Refinement of the Five Yin Wallet. But before that, he had to clear out the Wallet.
Tang Song shook the Wallet, and the huge Crab Corpse was swept up by a Black Fiend Wind, landing in the grass at the bottom of the Valley.
Giant Crabs, Hellhawks, Giant Bats—a total of over a dozen Giant Beast Corpses. These were the Specimens Tang Song had collected in this Monster Subterranean World. He planned to take them back for Professor Connors and his team to research.
He wanted to see if they could produce some scientific results. For example, the camouflage effect of those few camouflaged Giant Beasts was much stronger than the Stealth Camouflage developed by Cobra. If Tang Song's Divine Sense hadn't been sharp, he would have been fooled by them.
If this Technology could be developed, it could be fully applied to the Black Demon Battle Armor.
The Ultrasonic Wave generating organs of the Giant Bats could also be studied.
Other Giant Beast Corpses could be used to cultivate Aliens. Tang Song was very curious to know what kind of Things would result if Aliens were fused with the Genes of the Subterranean World's Giant Beasts.
Especially the flying Giant Beasts. If he could cultivate flying Alien War Beasts, Tang Song wanted to see whether the War Beasts Thanos collected from the Universe were more Formidable or if his Alien War Beasts were more terrifying.
After clearing out most of the Space within the Five Yin Wallet, Tang Song held the Five Yin Wallet, with the opening facing downwards. A Black Wind instantly swept across the entire Valley floor.
In mid-air, it was as if a Black Hole had appeared out of nowhere. The Black Wind swept up countless Skullcrawler Corpses and stuffed them into this Black Hole—
Tang Song held the Five Yin Wallet, using his True Essence to communicate with the Restriction Formation inside the Wallet, refining the Flesh and Blood of these Skullcrawlers.
Within the Space of the Five Yin Wallet, the Five Yin Black Fiend, like a tornado, ground these Skullcrawler Flesh and Blood into powder.
These Flesh and Blood powders fell into the Wallet and were absorbed by the Restriction Spirit Marks within the Wallet. The Spirit Marks, having received enough nourishment, spread outwards like growing blood vessels.
The Area covered by the Spirit Marks was the increased storage Space within the Five Yin Wallet.
Tang Song spent a full three days completing the refining of the Flesh and Blood of thousands of Skullcrawlers. By the time everything was finished.
The Space within the Five Yin Wallet had expanded to an Area equivalent to over thirty Football Fields.
It's worth noting that the standard Area of a Football Field is one hundred and five meters long and sixty-eight meters wide. Just looking at this, one can imagine the terror of these Giant Beasts in the Subterranean World.
The size of a single Titan is comparable to a Human's sports Football Field. If they were to appear on the surface, even if not intentionally targeting Humans, their unintentional trampling alone would be enough to kill countless Humans.
Just like Humans never care about the life and death of Ants under their Feet.
After re-refining the Five Yin Wallet, Tang Song collected the Giant Beast Corpses he had released earlier and also packed in the twenty-odd Silver Armored Corpses who were happily eating.
Zombies inherently cultivate and evolve by absorbing Living Being's Flesh and Blood. Any Giant Beast in this Monster World could provide a feast for these Silver Armored Corpses.
Tang Song let them roam freely, and in just a few days, the Silver Plate Armor on these Silver Armored Corpses had become much shinier.
These past few days, the Giant Beasts living around the Basin had suffered greatly. These twenty-odd small guys were as hard as solid iron blocks, unbreakable and unchewable.
Once a Giant Beast was surrounded by them, they would immediately start tearing and biting. Twenty-two Silver Armored Corpses could drain a Giant Beast several times their Height and weight in just a few minutes.
Facing these Silver Armored Corpses that could Earth Escape and were leaping like they were flying, once discovered, ordinary Giant Beasts couldn't escape.
Rumble—
Tang Song walked through the Cave Tunnel. Along with the sound of his footsteps, there was a rumbling sound of collapse behind him. Needless to say, it was his doing. An Earthshaking Talisman combined with a batch of timed high-explosive bombs was enough to collapse one or two kilometers of the mountain Tunnel.
As for why Tang Song did this, it was naturally because he didn't want any Giant Beasts to crawl out of this Underground Tunnel.
Walking over ten kilometers along this mountain Tunnel, Tang Song returned to the Subterranean World he came from. After putting the nearly thousand-meter-tall Celestial Giant Corpse into his Five Yin Pouch.
Tang Song sensed the location of the two Silver Armored Corpses left at the Exit and returned to the original Tunnel using the Black Cloud.
It's said that going up a mountain is easy, but coming down is hard. To enter this Subterranean World, Tang Song only needed to close his eyes and jump, leaving the rest to gravity.
But to exit this Tunnel, Tang Song flew for nearly a full day using the Black Cloud through the six to seven thousand kilometers of Underground Tunnel.
Unlike Sword Escape, the Black Cloud formed by the Killing Intent of the Ghoul White Bone Banner was not fast, only comparable to an ordinary civilian airliner. However, compared to Sword Escape, the riding experience was undoubtedly much more comfortable.
Boss Tang also took the opportunity to dig up some local specialties while passing through the interior of this Extinct Volcano!
Ivan Vanko opened several bulging burlap sacks in front of him and was immediately dumbfounded. They were filled with various colored Gemstones: red, white, blue, and green. The sacks piled together were like a small mountain.
"Boss! This is the local specialty you mentioned, Davarish! I think all the Jewelry Stores in Russia combined couldn't find this many, pieces this large of Jewelry!"
Ivan Vanko, with his oil-stained hands, picked up an Egg-sized Ruby. Although he didn't understand Gemstone appraisal, a flawless Ruby this large was worth at least eight figures!
"If you like them, just pick whatever you want. These Things are basically just rocks, their Value is just hyped up by people!" Tang Song glanced at the disassembled Iron Robots around him, Mechanical Parts scattered everywhere on the platform.
Clearly, during this time, Ivan Vanko had been researching anti-interference Iron Robots on this platform, just as he said.
Tang Song was never stingy with his own people.
"Forget it, Boss, these Gemstones are useless to me!"
Ivan Vanko shook his head and casually threw the Gemstone back into the sack.
These flashy Jewels were only liked by those women. A real Man still found dealing with Steel more satisfying.
"Later, I'll have Lane find a Channel to sell these Gemstones and have him get each of you two Sea View Villas near Long Island!
You're not young anymore. Later, I'll have Lane find you some Models, Stars..."
His Subordinates weren't very interested in Money, because Tang Song was never stingy with Money and material possessions. Kane, Lane, Frank, and the other Leaders, their Net Worth were all at least hundreds of millions.
Professor Connors and Ivan Vanko had only been with him for a relatively short time. However, Professor Connors had already made a fortune just from the Project dividends of the Hive Laboratory.
Not long ago, Tang Song had just bought Professor Connors' family a Luxury Villa in Manhattan under the guise of a reward.
For the talents under him, Tang Song never drew pictures of cakes; he directly stuffed Pizza into their mouths.
Seeing that Ivan Vanko didn't want them, Tang Song didn't insist. With a wave of his hand, several Card Soldiers stepped forward, tied up the sacks, and loaded them onto the Iron Cart used for coal.
Ivan Vanko's eyes widened, looking at the Boss who wanted to give him a bunch of women, and quickly changed the topic.
"Boss! When you were in the Subterranean World, I couldn't Contact you due to interference! Lane called, and it seems there's something important!?"
"Oh?" Tang Song heard this, reached out and took the Satellite Phone from a nearby Card Soldier, and dialed out.
"Boss! Nick Fury is dead!"
The call connected, and the first thing Lane said made him raise his Eyebrow.
"Nick Fury is dead! How did he die?"
"Not long ago, someone launched an Attack on a Villa in New York, using artillery. According to Intelligence from the Underworld, the person attacked was Nick Fury!"
"Is the Information reliable?" Tang Song listened to Lane's Voice on the Satellite Phone, frowned, and asked.
"Our people saw his Corpse when they were cleaning up the Scene..." Lane replied.
Nick Fury is dead. Tang Song furrowed his Brow slightly, thinking about the pros and cons of this Matter, and how much truth there was to it.
Without Nick Fury, could the Avengers still form? If there were no Avengers, how would they handle the Alien Invasion that would happen not long after?
"Boss, there's one more thing. Recently, because of this Terrorist attack in New York, various departments are secretly putting pressure on us. The President's Attitude is somewhat ambiguous!"
