Am I a mutant in soul land?

Chapter 93: Shui Bing'er visits Lanba

The bathroom door opened, and Huo Wu stepped out, her damp hair clinging to her skin, enhancing her natural allure. Steam trailed behind her like a veil, and her every movement radiated temptation. But Tang Yin held himself back, resisting the urge to devour her all over.

She sauntered over with deliberate grace, settling provocatively into his lap. Huo wu's skin now glowed with a fresh vitality—the impurities purged from her body had only made her beauty more radiant.

Catching Tang Yin ogling her with undisguised appreciation, Huo Wu smirked satisfied. She leaned in and pressed her lips softly against his and lovingly stroke his long hair.

"So, Tang Yin," she purred, her voice dripping with seduction, "what's the plan for today? Training—or are you planning to ravish me again?"

Tang Yin chuckled softly, then gently lifted her from his lap as he rose to his feet.

"If I don't show up to practice Purple Demon Eye, the girls might skin me alive," he said with a teasing grin. "Since you're already an outer disciple of my Tang Sect, come join us."

Without waiting for her response, he turned and strolled toward the window. The morning breeze fluttered the hem of his robe as he leapt lightly to the roof of his dorm and vanished from sight.

The girls, along with Liu Erlong, soon joined Tang Yin on the rooftop for their morning cultivation session. Moments later, Huo Wu also appeared, her fiery presence hard to miss.

Ning Rongrong's eyes immediately narrowed. She shot Tang Yin a sharp glare, then crossed her arms and snorted coldly.

"Hmph! You already have us beauties, and now you're still chasing after more? It seems we'll have to keep a much closer eye on you, bad Tang Yin!"

Rongrong huffed and turned away, but not before throwing him an adorably pouty glare. Tang Yin just smirked. He knew she was only acting up for attention, so he didn't take it seriously and sat down to begin the training.

After their morning practice, the group headed for breakfast before diving into dueling training with Tang Yin—who, as always, showed them no mercy.

"Variant skill—Blue Silver Emperor Armor!"

Now that his Blue Silver Emperor had fully evolved, even the combined attacks of the six girls failed to pressure him. Tang Yin was clad in his Blue Silver Emperor, the vines wrapping around him like a knight's armor.

Their efforts quickly turned into frustration.

Tang Yin's defense alone, reinforced by the toughness of his evolved Blue Silver Emperor, was nearly impenetrable. It took the combined buffs from Rongrong and Lingling, along with Dugu Yan's debilitating poison debuff, just to put a dent in his outer defenses.

But what truly overwhelmed them was his speed—so fast and precise, it rivaled that of a Soul Saint. One moment he was in front of them, the next he was behind, his movements fluid like shadows dancing at the edge of light.

Afternoon—

The girls were sprawled out, resting after once again failing to defeat him. Meanwhile, Tang yin had plans of his own—specifically, a quick visit to Xiao Mei, who had finally reached level 10. But on the way, he ran into two very familiar figures hesitating near the entrance of Lanba.

Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er stood by the academy's signboard, fidgeting nervously. From a distance, Tang Yin watched them with genuine interest—and a touch of mischief.

"Didn't you steal my kiss in front of everyone? Hmph... time to return the favor Miss Bing'er."

With that thought, Tang Yin strolled casually toward them at the front gate of the academy,

Shui Yue'er noticed him first—and immediately froze. The moment her eyes landed on his refined, devilishly handsome face, she felt her heart skip a beat. As a hopeless face-control, she was instantly smitten.

"Too good-looking…!" she thought, cheeks flushing. "This time, I'm not letting my sister steal the spotlight. I'm talking to him first!"

Determined to strike up a conversation, she took a small step forward.

Meanwhile, Shui Bing'er hadn't noticed a thing. She was lost in thought, eyes fixed on the academy gates, silently debating whether to enter and keep the promise she'd made.

Then, without warning, Tang Yin walked right up to her and pulled her into a deep kiss.

Shui Bing'er's eyes widened in shock as he stole her breath with a sudden, deep kiss, leaving her flailing helplessly in his arms.

Her heart pounded in chaos, her mind blank from the sheer audacity of what had just happened. This hateful guy had just walked up and casually stolen her kiss that she had been reserving for—

"W-What am I thinking?! I don't even like that Tang yin! But If he were to see me like this, he will definitely misunderstand!" she panicked inwardly, her face burning with rage.

Shui Yue'er, meanwhile, stood rooted in place. she was completely dazed by the scene that was unfolding before her. Her heart twisted as she watched him kiss her sister without even sparing a glance at her.

"Why does everyone always go for my sister? Am I not cute enough? Do I have some kind of flaw?" she pouted inwardly, glaring at the two with barely disguised envy.

The bitterness in her chest only grew. It wasn't just about the kiss—it was about the pattern. Again and again, her sister stood in the main spotlight while she faded into the background.

She had already—though unwillingly—given up on Tang Yin because of Bing'er. And now, just when she had started liking someone else, that guy also ignored her completely… and kissed her sister instead.

"Why is it always her…?" she thought, biting her lower lip, her jealousy bubbling beneath the surface like a kettle on the verge of boiling over. Shui Bing'er finally had enough.

Back to Shui Bing'er—

Bing'er finally found the strength to push him away, her chest heaving. When she looked up, she was met with a pair of teasing eyes and a refined, devilishly alluring face—who was now busy licking his lips with a smug smirk.

Shui Bing'er's thoughts spiraled, her mind a whirlwind of confusion and fury. Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision.

"I've never… I've never been this humiliated by anyone before…" Her fists trembled as her voice cracked in her mind. "I'll kill this guy—"

With a furious cry, Shui Bing'er launched a flury of punch at him, but Tang Yin caught her wrist with ease, his smirk growing wider.

"What's wrong, Bing'er? Not convinced?" he teased. "Didn't you steal my kiss in front of everyone? Now that the roles are reversed, you want to play the victim, huh?"

Hearing the familiar voice, both Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er froze in place. Their eyes widened in disbelief as they stared at Tang Yin.

Yue'er blinked rapidly, struggling to process what she was seeing. "Y-You're… Tang Yin? How?! It's only been two months… how can you change this much?"

Tang Yin casually smiled at her dumbfounded expression, his gaze playful, almost teasing. Then his eyes shifted to Bing'er.

"If you're already here," he said calmly, "why not come in? Are you embarrassed to meet me? You weren't that shy when you stole my kiss Infront of the whole audience."

Shui Bing'er's face turned crimson. Her lips parted, but no words came out. She lowered her gaze, unable—or unwilling—to offer a retort.

That was the final straw for Yue'er.

Watching him speak only to her sister again, jealousy bubbled in her chest like a volcano about to erupt. Without thinking, she strode forward, grabbed his collar—and kissed him.

Tang Yin's eyes widened briefly, but he didn't push Yue'er away.

Shui Bing'er stood frozen, her breath caught in her throat. She had known about Yue'er's feelings… but seeing it happen in front of her, something unexpected stirred within her—not jealousy, but warmth.

She exhaled softly, a faint smile tugging at her lips."So she finally did it…" Bing'er thought, her heart easing. "I'm glad… She deserves to be happy too."

Tang Yin didn't resist the kiss. In truth, he had been silently struggling with how to respond to Yue'er's affections. But now, faced with her boldness, he had finally made his decision.

He gently wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer, and looked into her snowy eyes—eyes filled with longing and vulnerability

"Haha…" Tang Yin chuckled softly. "You've finally taken the first step, Yue'er. You really didn't have to keep hiding your feelings for your sister's sake, you know?"

Shui Yue'er blinked, startled by his words.

Her gaze shifted to Bing'er—and saw her sister smiling at her gently, without resentment, but with warmth and quiet pride.

Only then did it click.

She knew all along… and she still accepted me. A smile bloomed on Yue'er's face—half embarrassed, half relieved.

"It seems I've been truly foolish to hide my feelings all this time," she murmured, laughing quietly. "Hmph… I don't regret it," she added with a little huff, trying to mask her growing embarrassment.

But before she could look away, she was suddenly pulled into a warm embrace. Bing'er wrapped her arms around her younger sister and gently rested her chin on Shui Yue'er's shoulder, doting on her with a loving smile.

"Silly girl," Bing'er said softly. "You've always been too selfless for your own good."

Yue'er blinked, her heart swelling as she melted into the hug—her pout replaced by a small, teary smile. Tang Yin didn't want to be the third wheel, so he quietly slipped away toward the outskirts of Lanba Academy.

Inside a rented motel,

Xiao Mei had been cultivating diligently, determined not to fall behind or disappoint him. So when a knock sounded at her door, she sprang to her feet and flung it open.

There stood Tang Yin, his usual calm but magnetic presence stealing her breath away. Without hesitation, she threw herself into his arms and tried pulling him inside.

But Tang Yin stopped her with a loving smile.

"Big sister you're always thinking about eating me. Not today. It's time for your first soul ring. And starting next month, you'll be staying with me. How?"

Xiao Mei's eyes lit up with genuine joy. She kissed him softly, her heart swelling with happiness—he was finally accepting her feelings. And she promised herself that she would never disappoint him.

Together, they set off toward Sunset Forest.

Tang Yin rented a carriage, and within four hours, they arrived at the edge of the forest. He carried her on his back as they made their way inside the dense forest.

Activating his telepathy, Tang Yin began searching for a suitable flight-type soul beast.

Xiao Mei's martial soul, the Gyrfalcon, possessed both wind attributes and aerial agility, though its innate soul power was unusually low. There were many such cases.

"Even the legendary Clear Sky Hammer could appear with a soul power of 4 or 5… so her Gyrfalcon awakening with only level 3 isn't so strange anymore," Tang Yin mused.

"Still, with proper cultivation, Whale Rubber, and high-quality soul rings, her potential can be drastically elevated. Maybe Xiao mei can really beat the other girls talent with my help."

Soon, he located a Steel Feathered Serpent, a wind-attributed beast with metallic feathers. A rare hybrid, and at twenty thousand years, it was more than suitable for a first soul ring.

Tang Yin used his telepathy to lure the beast silently. When it arrived, Xiao Mei instinctively clutched his clothes—but the serpent didn't attack. She looked at him curiously.

"This one's under my control. Don't worry, Xiao Mei." Tang yin comforted as he saw her scared face. Without further delay, he guided the steel serpent to sacrifice itself.

A brilliant golden light pulsed through the trees as a jet-black ring hovered toward Xiao Mei. There was no pain—only serenity. As the soul power flowed into her, her level shot upward, leaping well past level 20.

"I… I can't believe it…" Xiao mei murmured.

"It took me over a year to gain just three and a half levels… now I've jumped ten in moments."

She released her wuhun, glowing with power.

"My first soul skill: Steel Feather. I can harden my wings like the serpent's. But… how did you get that soul beast to just give up its ring, little brother?"

Tang Yin grinned as he continued teasing her,

"Is it that amazing? You look really cute like that, big sister. Makes me want to do you right here in the middle of forest."

He didn't bother explaining—sacrifice using his telepathy was tiring to justify over and over. Quietly, he pocketed the soul bone dropped from the serpent's carcass.

They ventured deeper. The next target: a Wind Shadow Falcon, a thirty-thousand-year-old aerial predator. It matched the Gyrfalcon and her wind affinity perfectly.

Just like before, Tang Yin lured the beast and made it submit without resistance. The black soul ring formed, and Xiao Mei began silently absorbing it—no longer asking questions. She trusted him completely.

"My level shot up again… My second skill is Strong Talon—I can strike with wind-charged claws that cut sharper than blades! Little brother, I swear I'll worship you from now on~" she purred with a sultry smile.

Tang Yin's resolve wavered for a second, but he quickly composed himself from his lust.

"I'm not the strongest yet… and there are divine eyes who really love spying the lower realm. I can't get carried away."

He stored the second soul bone and pressed forward deeper with his telepathy sensing the strong beast in the surrounding.

Their next find was Berserk Hawk, a strength-type flying soul beast. Though it was over forty-five thousand years old, Tang Yin didn't push its age higher. He guided it into sacrifice directly without wasting any time.

Xiao Mei again felt the serene sensation as the black ring formed. While she absorbed it, Tang Yin casually sifted through the aftermath and collected the soul bone.

Moments later, she opened her eyes—gleaming with excitement—and leapt into his arms, feeling the newfound strength surging through her veins. Everything she had now become... it was all because of him.

"My third soul skill is Triple Enhancement—it boosts my strength, defense, and speed by three times! I'm already level 40! Mwah!"

Tang Yin chuckled at her spoiled antics, but deep down, he was impressed by the results.

"So this… is the power of sacrifice," he thought "I've only just begun scratching its potential but it's really a scary power that I have."

As they ventured deeper, Tang Yin sensed the presence of a powerful soul beast nearby—a Storm Feather Vulture, nearly forty thousand years old, its aura crackling with sharp wind.

"This is the one," Tang Yin thought. "This soul beast will be the turning point for Xiao mei."

He repeated the sacrifice ritual again. Another golden flare. Another perfect ring.

But Xiao Mei pouted in his arms acting spoiled

"Ughhh, I'm still two levels away from being a Soul King… such bad luck, wooo~!"

Tang Yin saw her antics and nearly laughed.

"Did I spoil her too much?" he wondered. "Oh well. She's already mine—let her be as bratty as she wants."

She kissed his cheek and proudly declared,

"Sword Feather—my wings can transform into flying blades and return to me like swords. The feathers are Wind-infused, of course!"

He gave her an approving nod and smiled.

"As expected. Offensive ability with very high utility. If you practice the Controlling Crane Catching Dragon it can be refined further."

Tang yin exhaled slowly, eyes meeting hers.

"She's catching up to the others fast. Her lack of talent's been reshaped, and her attribute is now incredibly refined…"

Xiao Mei had just begun changing her Destiny.
