Chapter 91: Gifting Soul Bones with Enhancement
Tang Yin had now reached Level 55. His soul power had surged by five full levels thanks to the massive influx of Soul Power he absorbed during the evolution.
Because the tribute came from Blue Silver Grass—the same origin as his Blue Silver Emperor martial soul—the energy merged seamlessly without backlash.
That perfect compatibility was the reason Tang Yin had dared to absorb the offering from his kin so willingly. He knew it would strengthen him, not harm him. In doing so, he had saved himself an entire year's worth of cultivation.
As he released his Blue Silver Domain in the heart of the forest, Tang Yin instantly sensed all nearby plant life. His perception sharpened, reflexes quickened, his awareness expanding to cover the entire Blue Silver Forest.
Within the domain, he could manipulate plants freely—speeding their growth, commanding them to trap enemies, form defensive barriers, and even draw soul power from the Blue Silver Grass in the surroundings to strengthen his attacks and temporarily boost his soul power.
Tang Yin's eyes gleamed with excitement. "This will let me set ambushes, vanish into the forest, and strike or bind enemies from afar. Roots, vines, and thorns… all erupting on my command. Anyone caught won't escape unscathed."
Then, something stirred within him—a familiar aura. His eyes widened. "Could it really be… Ah Yin?"
Excitement surged through him as he leapt from tree to tree, swiftly reaching a secluded waterfall—the very one he remembered from the donghua.
He released his telepathy, and sure enough, he felt her—her spirit was weak, fragile, and barely hanging on. Years of confinement in a damp, lifeless environment had taken a toll on her weakened soul.
"Damn you, Tang Hao," Tang Yin muttered, eyes narrowing. "Just wait. One day, I'll beat you black and blue."
But he wasn't reckless.
As much as he longed to rescue her, he knew it wasn't the right time. Tang San was only Level 33, a mere Soul Elder. It could take more than five years before he reached Soul King.
If Tang Yin acted now, the Blue Silver King—and the entire forest—might be endangered. And he wouldn't break the promise he made to protect them. He would need to come up with a proper plan to rescue her—one that ensured her safety without risking the lives of her kin.
He let out a breath and glanced at his storage ring. "I've got a few soul bones lying around… Should I sell them? Nah—I've got more than enough money. Better to raise their age and gift them to the girls."
With that thought, Tang Yin turned and vanished into the forest, his figure slipping between the trees as he made his way back toward Tian Duo City.
Three days later—
"Look at that guy... so handsome~"
"Is he some kind of prince? I've never seen someone that majestic before!"
As Tang Yin strolled through Tian Duo City, he immediately drew attention—both nobles and commoners alike couldn't help but stare. What could he do? He wasn't about to hide his face just to avoid a few admiring glances. Might as well enjoy it.
His first stop was the auction house, where he met directly with the manager. Xiao Mei no longer worked there—she was now focused on her cultivation, which Tang Yin himself had funded. She lived near Lanba Academy so he could visit her anytime.
The moment the manager saw Tang Yin enter, he quickly performed a deep respectful bow.
"Master, you've arrived at the perfect time. We've just acquired a rare Decade Millennium right arm soul bone—from a Titan Giant Ape."
Tang Yin's eyes lit up. A soul bone from such a powerful and rare soul beast was no joke.
"When can it be auctioned?" he asked without hesitation.
"We can list it in tonight's auction, if you give the order."
Tang Yin smiled in satisfaction. "Good. Sell it tonight—but don't notify anyone in advance. If a strong soul master shows up, I might just cough blood."
The manager nodded and immediately began preparing the updated list of auction items.
These days, the auction house had cleaned up its reputation. No more selling girls or slaves—only criminals who had committed heinous acts were auctioned off. Tang Yin had made his stance clear long ago: he didn't tolerate such vile practices.
That night—
As always, the auction house was packed with wealthy nobles, hungry for rare items and very eager to flaunt their status. The strongest soul master present was only a Soul Emperor, which made Tang Yin breathe a little easier.
Eventually, the Titan Giant Ape right arm soul bone sold for a whopping eight million gold coins to a fat noble in luxurious robes.
As the final item was auctioned off, the noble hurriedly left, his expression smug and proud.
What he didn't know… was that Tang Yin was already tailing him in the shadows.
A soft flicker of telepathic energy passed through the air. A moment later, both the soul bone and the remaining gold coins vanished from the noble's storage pouch—into Tang Yin's.
The man paused, confused, his brows furrowing as he instinctively patted his storage pouch. But there was no alarm—no shouting, no panic.
Because his memory had already been wiped clean by Tang Yin's telepathy. He—and the guards escorting him—had no recollection of ever purchasing the soul bone or carrying such a large amount of gold.
Tang Yin smirked from the rooftops above.
"Thanks for holding onto it for me."
Now, Tang Yin possessed six soul bones, each originating from soul beasts over 10,000 years old. Without delay, he headed straight for the Sunset Forest, determined to hunt even older and stronger soul beasts to refine and further enhance the soul bones—gifts he intended to prepare for the girls.
Inside the Sunset Forest—
"Bang!"
Deep within the forest, a massive explosion echoed as Tang Yin battled a 30,000-year-old Flaming Monkey soul beast, his Blue Silver Emperor martial soul gleaming like a living metal. Without any buffs, its base strength alone now rivaled high-tier metal-type martial souls—truly a top-grade Wuhun.
"Fifth Soul Skill—Emperor's Boost!"
A surge of power flooded as his martial soul was strengthened. Almost simultaneously, his fourth soul ring blazed with a dazzling light.
"Fourth Soul Skill—Black Serpent's Thorn!"
A dark, whip-like thorn burst from the ground beneath the flaming monkey and pierced straight through its heart, ending the battle in a single blow. A black soul ring rose above the lifeless beast as Tang Yin stepped forward, calmly placing his hand on it and beginning the absorption process, drawing in its power using his energy absorption ability.
Once finished, Tang Yin took out the prized treasure from the tournament— Burst Burning Flame Right Arm Soul Bone, channeling the newly acquired energy into it. The bone's age quickly rose to 50,000 years. He then released his telepathy, scanning a 10-kilometer radius for a compatible fire-type soul beast.
According to Tang Yin's own logic, matching a soul bone's attribute with a similar-type soul beast would lead to better compatibility—and a stronger, more powerful ability as the bone's age increased.
His next target was a 45,000-year-old Blazing Fire Dragon, which he quickly defeated and harvested. Using its essence, he pushed the Burst Flame Soul Bone to the 100,000-year threshold. Now, it radiated such intense heat that it truly resembled it's true value. Tang yin then carefully sealed it inside a jade box.
Over the next seven days, Tang Yin stayed in the Sunset Forest, methodically hunting powerful soul beasts and raising each of his soul bones to the 100,000-year mark.
The Fast Moving Chasing Wind Left Leg Soul Bone was the quickest to upgrade. With many agility-type beasts in the Sunset Forest, Tang Yin swiftly hunted a Shadow Leopard and Stormclaw Cheetah, using their soul power to push the Soul Bone to 100,000 years.
The Blood Red Python Right Leg Soul Bone, originally obtained while hunting the beast for Dugu Yan's fifth soul ring, was next. With an abundance of poison-type snake soul beasts, Tang Yin hunted several and quickly pushed the Soul Bone to the 100,000-year mark.
The Titan Ape Right Arm Soul Bone was easy to enhance. Surrounded by earth-type soul beasts, Tang Yin pushed it to 100,000 years in only three days. He was very interested as to what skill it would provide.
The Spiritual Cohesion Wisdom Skull Soul Bone proved the most difficult to enhance. With spiritual-type soul beasts being extremely rare, Tang Yin spent nearly the entire week gathering enough soul power.
As for the Gem-Type Left Arm Soul Bone, only Tang Yin's 10-kilometer telepathy allowed him to locate compatible gem-type beasts. Even so, it took a great deal of time to fully upgrade.
By the end of his expedition, Tang Yin had likely searched nearly every corner of the Sunset Forest. Even with energy absorption ability, exhaustion weighed heavily on him. With his objective fully accomplished, he quietly made his way back to Lanba Academy.
With six 100,000-year soul bones now in his possession—each one carefully enhanced through targeted soul beast hunting—he now possessed treasures so rare that even most Titled Douluo could only dream of having.
He had not only acquired six treasures but also discovered the true limit of his Blue Silver Emperor. With the boost from his fifth soul ring, it could shatter the defenses of a 40,000-year-old soul beast. Even without that boost, he was strong enough to challenge a 30,000-year-old soul beast head-on.
At Lanba Academy,
The five girls and Liu Erlong were now growing increasingly worried. Tang Yin had promised it would only take a week, but two weeks had passed without any sign of him. They gathered in Liu Erlong's cottage, anxiously discussing whether something had gone wrong.
Suddenly, a knock sounded at the front door. Liu Erlong sprang up and flung it open—only to see not just the charming Tang Yin she remembered, but someone radiating a familiar warmth and an even more alluring presence that tugged at her heart.
Tang Yin smiled warmly as he embraced the stunned Liu Erlong. He spoke in a gentle voice
"I'm truly sorry it took so long, but I'm back, Erlong. Did I worry you?"
Hearing his familiar voice, Liu Erlong clutched him tightly, relief flooding her glistening eyes.
"Don't ever make us worry like this again," she whispered, her voice trembling with tears.
Once inside, all the girls rushed toward him, wrapping Tang Yin in a flurry of extreme joyful, passionate hugs. He smiled warmly, his gaze soft as he looked at all of them affectionately.
Ning Rongrong stared at Tang Yin in disbelief.
"What exactly happened to you, Tang Yin? You're like a total girl magnet now! I'm sure even more vixen will start chasing after you." Her tone was laced with playful resentment.
Zhu Zhuqing looked at him with concern.
"Did something happen to you? A change this drastic... it doesn't seem normal."
Tang Yin smiled reassuringly at everyone.
"Actually, I went to awaken my Blue Silver king for the second time. That's why my original appearance changed a bit. But don't worry—there's no harm to me. I'm completely fine."
With a playful, generous grin, Tang yin said,
"I've come bearing gifts—ones I hope will earn your forgiveness. Alright, starting with Erlong… come here."
As Erlong stepped forward expectantly, seeing this Tang yin chuckled as he took out a Jade box which radiated heat from within. He gave the box to her. Liu Erlong curiously opened the box and was too stunned to speak. There lay a very beautiful Blazing Right Arm Soul Bone which matched her own fire attribute.
Tang yin didn't let her refuse as he called for Zhuqing next and handed her another Jade box that contained the Chasing Wind Left Leg Soul Bone which glimmered with purplish tint. Zhuqing could feel it was a priceless treasure but Tang yin didn't let her speak.
Next up, he called Rongrong who hurriedly scurried Infront of him with her hands upfront practically asking for her gift. Tang yin lightly chuckled at her antics and gave her the Gem Type soul bone which complimented her Nine Treasure Glazed Pagoda.
Tang yin called Meng yiran who expectantly walked Infront of him. He handed her the Titan Giant Ape Right Arm Bone which radiated the earth element. Meng yiran could feel her own martial soul craving for this Soul bone.
Dugu Yan bounced excitedly toward Tang Yin, dragging along a shy and hesitant Ye Lingling. Tang Yin smiled gently at the two, then handed the Blood Red Python Right Leg Bone to Dugu Yan, who accepted it without hesitation.
To Ye Lingling, he offered Spiritual cohesion Wisdom Skull Bone—she hesitated, her eyes wide, but eventually took it with reluctance.
Tang Yin spoke firmly yet warmly,
"Don't worry about me. I have my own plans for my soul bones. These are gifts—from the bottom of my heart. Please, don't reject them."
His tone grew serious. "It's best to absorb them right away. If anyone outside finds out… we could be in serious danger. So hurry up."
Hearing the urgency in Tang Yin's voice, the girls nodded without further hesitation. One by one, they began absorbing the soul bones.
Thankfully, there was no danger—while the bones had been enhanced to 100,000-year level, their spiritual resistance was far weaker than that of a true 100,000-year soul beast, making the absorption process smooth.
Within three hours, all six girls had completed the fusion. Then, their soul power began to churn violently. Liu Erlong felt a powerful surge throughout her body—her soul power jumped by four levels in an instant.
Zhu Zhuqing's level shot straight to Soul King, then continued climbing steadily. Similarly,
Ning Rongrong, Meng Yiran, and Ye Lingling also experienced a continuous leap, each of their levels soaring into the Soul King realm, then pushing further.
As for Dugu Yan, her body trembled as her soul power surged explosively, blasting through her Soul King realm and breaking directly into the Soul Emperor realm—and still rising.
