Chapter 4: g

2013 March 4th

'IT HURTS.'

'IT HURTS'

'IT HURTS'

'WHO MISSES A DIRECT SHOT IN THE HEAD!'

In a darkened room filled with stacks of neatly stacked bookshelves and paperwork an individual seated in a chair, his expression filled with anguish eyes bloodshot, and elbow constantly hitting the table to ease his suffering.

His head throbbed with veins protruding red crimson and his eyes deepened with crimson. It felt like hell to the man, his hands shaking as and trembling as if a rusty spoon was shoved into his brain, prodding and scooping out all that gray brain matter.

After a while, the man's action stopped to a halt as the pain subsided, and his head not bulging with throbbing veins of blood.

"Ha...Ha...Ha, It finally stopped."

His chest ached as he breathed to his heart's content as the torture pounding at his skull cleared but it didn't take too long to realize where he was and the current situation.

The familiar room housed several shelves adorned with documents and books. A mirror was on the side of the room to see one's appearance. As sunlight drifted into the room, numerous windows peered outside, and fluffy white clear clouds drifted outside.

Lin touched his face, and his hands grasped the unnatural smooth face, akin to something synthetic but real enough to deceive the eyes.

He took a long gaze at the mirror, and what reflected in his eyes was a man with long, lush blonde hair tied into a ponytail, emerald eyes that shone a dull green, and an outfit from the 15th Century.

He blinked twice and uttered in disbelief.

"Dogshit! Did I transmigrate? Honkai Impact 3rd...Just before the Third Eruption in Nagazora and as a Clown?"

The main antagonist of the First Part of Honkai Impact 3rd is a man fueled by his desire to revive his dear beloved childhood friend who instead falls in love with a pink-haired shrine maiden.

Seeing his reflection Lin lampooned in his heart with an elated depressing laughter.

'First day in and I already am wearing a green hat...'

Before he transmigrated, Lin Doe had a less-than-special childhood. His parents left him behind on a park street, and then a passerby took him to an orphanage.

The owner was a kind old man with a smile that could brighten up the world until he realized he was a greedy bastard, embezzling the donation money to his wallet, using cheap materials to build everything, and cutting costs for the orphanage's living conditions.

The taste of moldy hard bread and grass soup still lingered in his mouth.

Having lived there for years he learned the harshness of the world but also a valuable lesson.

How can one scheme and plan someone's downfall? So he collected all evidence of Mr. Fox's misdeeds and submitted it to the nearby police department with a toothy smile...

He vividly remembered that day when he was seated in the back of a police crusher ready to comfort that greedy old man and save his fellow orphans from there but that delusion immediately broke as those cops in uniform started to have a friendly chat with the gray-haired as if they were old friends.

It seemed that sly Mr. Fox was bribing the entire department with goddamn tax-free money and so he was immediately beaten up by that crappy old man and shoved in the basement being barely fed with a single cup of water each day.

Luckily Mr. Fox didn't tie him up and only beat him with an inch of his life so that he couldn't even move a finger.

The basement was damp and moist enough that the air tasted of watery musk. One side of the underground was mostly untouched junk covered in dust. The most important thing was some broken table legs nearby so the most reasonable development was to light a fire in the basement to get out of there.

Then boom he got out by rubbing the legs together, starting a fire, then throwing it at the door.

He didn't forget to fake his death by throwing one of his shirts into it...Knowing Mr. Fox, he couldn't search for some measly kid who had gotten some evidence.

Now having escaped from that forsaken place he had to get an identity and the usual fraud from what he gained from watching all those crime shows.

It was easy since the old man didn't even register him into anything.

So he took the name Bin Joe...It was quite foolish of him to choose that name but hiding in plain sight was the best choice and no one would expect a child to be idiotic enough to register with that absurd name.

After that to make a living he went around to various places finding odd jobs like working in a fast food where he had a specific job in placing fried potatoes in a paper bag or frying a flour-covered bird until golden brown.

Having worked in several places for years he finally got the opportunity to work at a paper company and acquire a proper position.

Being an office worker was quite tiring once you got into the jest of it. He made some friends with his Co-workers but most of them tended to work instead of making conversation.

With all the less free time he had and the amount of work piling up, gambling was always the one thing that kept his sanity fully refilled.

Not the usual popular attractions like a Casino or Lotteries but instead for collecting those sweet beautiful PNGs called a Gacha game.

He didn't know if this was a dream come true or a complete nightmare to be Transformed into a not-so-safe 'World' called Honkai Impact 3rd and its numerous connected games, Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.

Lin had read numerous works of individuals being reincarnated, transmigrated, or sent into their favorite story but being too realistic he was quite...F*cked and mostly likely going to die like Himeko if he didn't focus.

His eyes turned blank as he examined himself in a nearby mirror where a blonde man with dull emerald eyes and a face of arrogance reflected towards his own eyes.

Lin touched his face and pinched hard to see if this was reality, he even punched himself to see if he could ever feel pain.

He was in Honkai Impact 3rd as Otto Apocalypse.

He was sent away from Planet Earth into this hellscape, which was also called Planet Earth. Even the Solar System was completely the same except for the Moon being haunted by a Cocoon along with the rest of the planets being ruins of several ancient high-tech civilizations.

He could no longer live his comfortable life with insurance and everything.

Well, things were bad for him, the incoming Honkai Eruptions and Herrschers would be a struggle to deal with.

In Honkai Impact 3rd, the World was quite similar to the World Lin came from, but now the difference was...He was in it.

Earth in the Honkai Universe was plagued with a worldwide disaster known as Honkai. It could take the form of natural disasters, plagues, monsters, and even people themselves known as Herrschers, beings with abilities akin to Gods. Its main purpose is to wipe out civilizations.

Honkai is also a form of Energy which you guessed is called Honkai Energy. It's one of the most beneficial things to come from Honkai but a byproduct of it invading Earth.

The Honkai is extremely corrupted without any proper use or equipment and to add to that...Honkai when in contact with any living or nonliving being will automatically corrupt it turning it into an aggressive being who will attack anyone.

Humans will turn into Zombies, and can even evolve into Zombies with wielding weaponry. Animals in some cases will turn into evolved beasts corrupted with Honkai Energy.

When Honkai Energy is overloaded into an area an Outbreak occurs in which Honkai Energy runs wild, corrupting and spawning Honkai Beasts. When the surging energy reaches a higher point an Eruption occurs, a great event in which a Herrscher spawns, a direct Apostle of the Honkai and a former human taken over by the Honkai...

A Herrscher can be born first and then cause an Eruption but it's mostly rare.

As for a more in-depth topic about the Honkai...Lin would have to exposition dump himself later he needs to adjust his mind first.

Luckily, he gained the mind of this body and the most important things.

Otto Apocalypse had money and lots of it to the point of fueling Theresa's spending habits of buying Bitter Melon juice and funding several Valkryie schools while at the same time running a whole organization that runs the World called Schicksal and is one of the fighting forces against the threat of the Honkai.

Having looked through the memories of this Overseer, he winced at the number of plans and scheming this bastard planned. Otto was seen as a villain, anti-hero, or anti-villain in the game...One thing was clear he was one manipulative schemer and a patient one at that.

One of his longest plans was to make Herrscher regain their Humanity with the use of the bonds of friendship and love, having a teacher to properly guide them then break their peaceful life to a reality of hardship to further grow the Herrscher into a weapon for Humanity or a Hero in any case.

Now he was that same bastard with all those wretched memories. His stomach bubbled as he kept on viewing everything about Otto's memories as a Spectator. The blonde man with dazzling green eyes was 500 hundred years old...Lin clinched his face to face the incoming torrent of information about punching him

Within his mind, Lin was soon facing windows showcasing various scenes and each one was colored differently, most were blackened cold, others were with a warming pulse and lastly, the one that shined the brightest was with white lights shining akin to stars that engulfed everything

The first window was a moment of his birth born in the year 1452 when he first saw that light and those warm eyes as his Mother's face shined with pure joy seeing her child in her arms. Cries murmur from the baby and the mother sings a sweet tune to calm him down, her voice echoing throughout the chapel.

In another, that same child bowling his eyes with tears as he learned of his Mother's death, and the world around turned into a dull color. His face smeared with tears as he attended the funeral. That light and warmth from her was put asunder by the cruelty of this world now covered in gray.

Another window appeared, and his siblings sneer at his actions, and his weakness to properly live like them because of his weak body.

Those piercing eyes of his sister Risa who smiled at him while behind a mask as she stared down at him like a chess piece.

The words of his Brothers at his inability to wield a blade prickled at him like needles.

Nights of him staying in his room constantly working on inventing to avoid that reality and hands always covered in blisters.

His life as a child was as gray as nihilism itself, a dysfunctional family filled with neglect and politics, what a dreaded place to be.

A toy plane flying through the sky and over that gray-brick wall, fell to the ground into the unknown.

The boy climbed with all his might as his brother mocked him with a sneering voice.

"You'll never get over that wall. You're hardly strong enough."

The Inventor didn't care and climbed over it, but to no avail; it was futile, and his hands were now covered in scratches.

Gazing at that high wall reaching the heavens, his face scowled in sadness—that is until he saw a white girl with orbs of blue light in her eyes.

It was a changing moment for Otto, the first time he saw that light again...A soon-to-be friend named Kallen Kaslana and his first love.

The memories constantly flickered as Lin watched with blank sunken eyes. He knew about Otto's story in-game but now experiencing his emotions, experiences, and life...It made his heart shake for a bit.

Regret as he released those Honkai Beasts to save Kallen from execution and ashamed of falling for his older sister's scheme for power, her smirking constantly in his eyes.

He felt despair as Kallen died right in his eyes protecting a girl from an Honkai Beast. Its claw pierced into her chest whilst smiling dying in the end as a Kaslana.

The scenes soon fast forward as the innocent Inventor was no more and now the Overseer of Schicksal took over. He has the sole purpose of bringing Kallen back to life to correct the one regret he made.

His eyes were lifeless as he spent his days finding ways to bring back Kallen Kaslana...He made an Android in a spitting image of her named Amber it was a failure so he made another being made from the genes of Kallen and so he forced them to force...The outcome was that the clone named Theresa spared the deficit.

Lin passed through another window, He felt arrogance as he stabbed a spear into the Father of Joachim and fought the First Herrscher of Reason, Welt Joyce in New York.

This led to the creation of Anti-Entropy to oppose him and Schicksal along with the passing of Welt Joyce's Herrscher core of Reason to the small boy named Joachim Nokianvirtanen.

He kept on taking in everything and with the overflow of memories piercing into him...He didn't lose his sense of self...He was Lin Doe an orphanage with an obsession with gacha...Not the Overseer of Schicksal who loved his childhood friend to death.

The next window appeared like a train and crashed into him...It was when one of his experimental zones was called Babylon Tower established in Siberian and took children to experiment for Honkai Resistance.

It led to the creation of the Second Herrscher, the Herrscher of Void, and the most dangerous Honkai Eruption to the current point. Once Ott discovered this was set on using the Herrscher to revive Kallen and even the cost of millions dying because of his actions.

In the war with the Herrscher of Void and realizing the risk of disrupting his plans, soon the sensation of pressing a button to fire off Honkai Fission bombs toward Siberian, killing the Herrscher and his strongest Valkriye.

As those memories passed a single fragmented window came into view a blonde man walking towards a tree made of blinding lights.

This wasn't from the Overseer of Schicksal but from Lin's memories and experience of playing Honkai Impact 3rd.

He ran toward the distant horizon as several darkened beasts rushed toward him. With his might, the Fool fought them off with False Divine Keys of gold and after the battle, he made his way onto that imaginary tree placing his fragile charred fingers onto that trunk of imaginary light.

His figure and body flicker as he slowly disappears into motes of light.

"This is the most selfish thing one can do."

A Shooting Star appeared in the eyes of the Saintess Kallen Kaslana

Thus Spoke Apocalypse.

Lin stopped his steps in his mind and closed his eyes returning to reality. The sensation of being back in his seat let him breathe a sigh of relief.

He leaned back into a comfortable position and digested the memories and scenes he saw.

Those moments of emotions almost broke him...Five Hundred Years of coldly looking at the world through the eyes of this foul wretched man made Lin want to throw up in disgust but he couldn't since he wasn't even "Human" anymore.

The experiments and cloning of his beloved, Kallen Kaslana, and the crimes he committed all for the "good of the world." The number of corpses of a white-haired girl piled up and all of their cold dreaded eyes as they stared at him and he looked back with a blank face.

Only when the Clown saw a white-haired Kaslana wake up in a tube full of green fluid did he finally smile at the being named K-423 and that poor girl soon to be delved in a script all for that man's selfish goal. A clone of the Herrscher of Void made from the genes of his strongest Valkyrie and a Kaslana.

Even as the bitter cold memories settled in, there was a distant corner where orbs of warmth still held up. Those were the good memories when Otto Apocalypse truly was a morally just man.

The times running an orphanage and taking care of all of the children filled up the hole in his heart when Kallen was taken away from him on his own. Fighting against his Sister Risa to take control of Schicksal and to build as a way to fight against the Honkai.

His face contorted into a self-deprecating smile like a Clown from having experienced everything that blonde bastard went through!

"What a crappy Overseer...Cloning your beloved to fill up that hole in your heart, experimenting on the innocent, and causing an entire Eruption for your goal! I can respect your grit and determination but I won't use those methods of yours to protect this 'World'!

You saw didn't you Clown bastard, Kallen lived in that new Branch of yours but at what cost? Millions are dead because of you...Lives tragedy ended and people were stripped away from their humanity.

Hahaha, like I am any better! The real reason people despised you in this game wasn't the millions of people you murdered but the amount of pain you caused to our beloved Characters! I'd be an even bigger hypocrite if I didn't admit that!

The Previous Era was wrong Rational isn't the way for Humanity to win against the Honkai...It's Human Kindness and keeping that Humanity is the way to transcend Finality! I don't care if someone calls me a Sinner or Wretch because I'll become an even bigger Fool than you, a Suffer who decided to stick with their Humanity.

Who cares about becoming a Saint or Savior, I am neither just a gambling gacha addict who shed a tear when his favorite drunken hair teacher dropped into the endless void, a flat-chested bird being shot in the head, a Kaslana sending her in the sky with a bomb, watching a young girl seal herself in the Sea and a Pink Elf sacrificing herself for the future of Humanity.

Come watch me as I miss up your entire plan, enjoy the bloody show as I shove a gun in that Cocoon's Hole of an eye."

Lin muttered to himself with a calm sensation as if he were waiting for someone's response to his sneering mockery.

An imaginary sudden voice called out to him, a familiar tone of melancholy and acceptance.

'Alright...'

Lin didn't know if he was hallucinating or if this was real but it sent shivers down his spine. Otto Apocalypse responded...He only said that to mock him not for the Clown himself to call out in gratitude.

He started to laugh manically hearing that voice

'Oh god, what if I had said something outrageous before this...'

A sense of burden was lifted off his shoulders and the overwhelming resentment was culled into a tranquil calming wave.

He looked at the nearby mirror and noticed those once dull emerald eyes seemed to gain back their luster. That once arrogant smirk was now a gentle demeanor of contentment.

Lin clinched his gloved white hands and stared at the reflection of himself. He felt quite nervous being put in this situation but knowing how his favorite characters suffered from this man's schemes his eyes glared with determination he had to suck it all up and had to move forward.

'Might as well laugh through all this suffering!'

As emerald eyes reflected against the nearby mirror and that arrogant handsome-looking face...This wasn't fiction, this was his reality and most importantly he was now Otto Apocalypse...The most Foolish man.

He didn't have to be a Hero nor a Villian but a Fool who'll still help his dear Herrschers. There was no need for him to go with Otto's original plan of breaking down Kiana and hammering her down with angst to turn her into a Herrscher to fight for Humanity.

Instead, why not go for the lighter approach of directly training Kiana to become a Herrscher of Finality without...All the shooting of one of your classmates in the head.

So the first step to achieving a better ending, Otto stood from his seat and tried calling out one of his most important assets.

"Void Archives."

After a moment there was only silence, the Divine Key made from the Previous Era seemed unresponsive.

Otto put a hand on his chin unsure how to approach this, it seemed after transmigrated he lost that voice in his head.

Void Archive is a library that holds all the knowledge and blueprints of the Previous Era made by the one aPathways of Divine

Chapter Text

Before he Transmigrated into Honkai Impact 3rd, Lin read many books but one of his favorite ones was a Webnovel made by a Cuddlefish that Loves Diving is called Lord of the Mysteries.

It's quite a long read with 1390 Chapters in the first book and a second book that continues with 1000 Chapters.

LOTM tells the tale of a Chinese man named Zhou Minguri who transmigrated to an alternate Victorian-era world where he sees a world filled with machinery, cannons, dreadnoughts, airships, different machines, as well as Potions, Divination, Hexes, Tarot Cards, Sealed Artifacts.

Even with its length, it had many wonderful ideas and concepts such as the Power System that encompassed LOTM.

Pathways or Path of the Divine refers to 10 sets of potions a person takes to receive supernatural or mystical powers ranging from being able to divine the future, creating fireballs, and controlling the weather.

The Top Tiers of a Pathway can create Supernovas, cast a Sun that burns everything, accelerate matter to the point of destroying a planet, and corrupt someone's mind by just looking at them.

Each potion for a Pathway is categorized from the weakest Sequence 9 to the strongest Sequence 0 where you become a God of your respective Pathway.

There is a level even beyond that called Above the Sequence, which requires Multiple Sequence 0 Pathways.

It was coincidentally similar to the Paths of the Aeons from Honkai Star Rail, but the difference is that in HSR, a path is a universal philosophy in which one is a Pathstrider walking along one's destined Path.

While a Pathway in LOTM is gained by consuming a potion and becoming a Beyonder, this power comes at the cost of losing one's mind and becoming a monster beyond recognition.

They both share the same goal of becoming a God or an entity closest to Divinity by way of a Path...

There were 22 Pathways in Book 1 LOTM which symbolized a Concept.

Furthermore, a Pathway has a neighboring Pathway or Pathways in which you can safely switch over to another without going crazy, becoming a monster, or exploding into a puddle of pus.

Each Pathway had its unique abilities and specialties but there were some overlaps with similar powers.

The 22 Pathways were also represented by a Tarot Card, a deck of playing cards used to foretell an individual's life or matters of Divination.

Looking at the screen shoved in his face, Otto had a satisfied grin he had many choices of Pathway he could choose, and judging by the fact he had two options it meant the possibility of him being able to take multiple Pathways was real.

When a Beyonder tries to accommodate a second pathway in LOTM with a potion...They'll explode, lose control, or slowly kill themselves at a quickened pace since drinking a potion in the wrong conditions is akin to drinking poison.

The only way to become a Beyonder with Multiple Pathways is to gain a Boon (Gift of Beyonder Powers) from a God of a Pathway by praying to them.

There is a similar technical case where a Beyonder can switch to an Adjacent Pathway which directly can fuse with their old abilities, creating a mutation of their powers.

Boons are the most common way (mostly hidden) to become a Dual Pathway Beyonder and are also categorized by Sequence 9 to 0 but the drawback of Boons is that the more you acquire Boons the closer you become to that God from Mind, Body, and Spirit which slowly changes one's personality.

If one's body and mind can't handle the power of a Boon "they would either turn into a monster, become a puppet of an unknown entity, or transform into someone else who'd treat things they cherished in the past with indifference."

Otto grasped his chin in a daze, he wasn't quite sure which one to pick. Every Pathway is outstanding and mostly balanced in the Higher Sequences as fights become mainly rock paper scissors shoot to counter each other's abilities and get a direct hit...Like that one show where people were fighting each other with Stands, a Bizzare Adventure.

In the Lower Sequences to Mid Level Sequences, several Pathways can outright overpower some Beyonders but the most important lesson is...There is no strongest Pathway only the Strongest Beyonder.

For the two Pathways, he'll choose since he had plenty of time before the Third Eruption (exactly 11 months from now) it's a simple choice for a Pathway that is weak in its early stage but has massive potential in Higher Sequences.

With his right hand, he clicked on one option from the Lord of the Mysteries section and the other God Almighty, prompting another screen to appear.

[Seer (S9) and Spectator (S9) have been chosen]

[Are you sure?]

[Yes] [No]

Otto quickly selected [Yes] but to his dismay another pop-up cursed him.

[Terms and Conditions]

Normally, back in his world, Lin would skim through those types of documents, but since his life was now on the line, he pulled out the drawer from under the desk and took out some black reading glasses for dramatic effect. Now he was ready.

[You have the opportunity to accommodate Multiple Pathways and possibly become a Twenty Two Pathway Beyonder reaching the level of the Original Creator (Creator of the Entire Lord of the Mysteries Universe)]

[The Negative Side Effects of consuming numerous potions will be negated but side effects from Pathways will not be included in this privilege and instead, the User will have to find a way around it.]

[Other than that, the user can normally advance using the Acting Method but Sequence 5, and Higher Advancement Rituals are needed before drinking a potion.]

[To advance a Beyonder's Sequence the individual would have to act according to the potion's name and digest the Beyonder Potion allowing Beyonder to advance in a safer method.]

[For the User's case Otto Apocalypse's 500 Years of Experience will intertwine with your Acting.]

[When you Act out your potion feedback will now apply and can be provided by powerful individuals: S Rank Valkryies, Herrschers, Gods, Aeons, Emantors, Archons, etc]

[To unlock the remaining Pathways one must achieve feats that symbolically connect to a specific Pathway]

[When reaching Sequence 2 (Angel) you do not need Anchors required for High-Sequences to maintain rationality and resist the strong inclination to lose control, the urges buried deep in their collective subconscious. There is still a possibility of losing control if your mental state is on the verge of breaking ]

[Upon reaching Sequence 1 (Arcangel) the Uniqueness (the symbolism or authority of the corresponding Pathway and needed to become a True God) of a Pathway will be given.]

[Lastly, to ascend beyond a True God (Above the Sequence) be finished with this 'World' first]

[Are you willing to accept the Terms and Conditions to use this System]

[Yes] [No]

Otto pushed his glasses up and thoroughly read the exposition of text shoved right into his face.

With the reading out of the way, Otto started to review the contents lingering in his mind rent-free.

Some Pathways had side effects changing gender, becoming taller like a giant, having a more cold-blooded personality, turning into a wolf once the moon comes out, transforming into a vampire, etc but they can be negated by certain methods.

For the Acting Method, he had to act out his potion in front of an audience or to the 'World' itself, and the more powerful the individual the more his potion will be digested.

This was a game changer to Otto since Herrschers were to bloom at a rapid pace like cabbages growing out in the dirt along with that he could travel to other 'Worlds' with the use of the Door (Apprentice) Pathway to seek out other acting opportunities.

'But the use of this method would work for lower Sequence Beyonders acting towards higher Sequence Beyonders and for my case...If my Sequence or should I say powers are much greater than I am trying to act towards the feedback will be less' Otto thought to himself

'I am going to have to experiment if I can simply farm digesting a potion in front of Rita or Bianka.' The Overseer grinned to himself realizing an exploit he could milk.

Every Pathway is unique and so has its Uniqueness but Otto could wait until he reached the required Sequence to gain one.

"A Uniqueness can be shaped whatever shape by the one who Accommodates it...I want to make the Fool (Seer) Uniqueness into a bat and slug someone with it." He chuckled to himself and then with his gloved finger pressed on [Yes].

A moment of silence filled Otto's office after he pressed [Yes] he smiled in his seat anticipating why anything wasn't happening.

Until the feeling of a cool liquid filled his mouth into his stomach and the screen showed up again.

[Congrats on choosing your two starting Pathways and to make sure you don't explode from taking two potions at the same time "WE" decided to make your first potion the Seer one]

[You are a Seer now the first step on becoming the most Foolish God of all...Have fun!]

His body started to turn dead cold as the liquid surged into his stomach and soon bubbled his chest into a grayish warmth.

He fell to the floor of his office and his body started to shake and tremble as if tentacles were latching onto him within every cell of his body.

Otto's vision started to blur as various colors flooded his entire sight and bundled together to form a mesh mash of kaleidoscopic rainbows.

The clusters of light started to float all around his office and they seemed to contain boundless knowledge.

Once the light moved in a sporadic motion it soon disappeared into a gray fog that covered his entire body and clung to him like worms crawling over dirt, festering around in his skin.

Murmurs of a sea churning drilled into his ears and the binding of ethereal vines wrapped his entire body.

His head started to feel a sense of throbbing pain a familiar sensation when he first came here.

After a while the office engulfed in the enigmatic fog took back its normal appearance and the experience of worms crawling inside of his skin, seas roaring in his ears and bindings subsided.

The blonde Overseer stood up and breathed in and out as he massaged his head at the migraine he got from the potion but soon a sound of glass shattering entered his ears and a sudden enlightenment pierced his head.

Otto touched his chest and slowly smiled looking at the newly popped screen.

[Sequence 8 Clown of the Fool Pathway is ready would you like to advance?]

"Is this what they call Pre-Farming!?"

Otto's surprise was immense from the fact that his Seer Potion instantly digested the moment he regained his senses. In LOTM, at some Sequences, a Beyonder can act ahead of time but he didn't realize it would apply to his unique situation

The only reason he could only concur on why this worked...It was one single condition from that System he glossed over.

'For the User's case, Otto Apocalypse's 500 Years of Experience will intertwine with your Acting'

Otto Apocalypse...Has been alive for 500 Years and Acting as the OverSEER for hundreds of years.

Even if he didn't act mainly as a Seer it would still count as similar to acting as one and with the fact that he acted in this position towards thousands or even millions of Valkryies in his lifetime it would accumulate until his potion fully digested in one go.

Ending his thoughts Otto soon noticed a blur of colors covering his eyes and a slight sensation in his head with murmurs of the unknown pounding at his ears.

He dismissed the screen and gathered himself.

Whenever anyone successfully advances their Sequence a surge of Spirituality will leak out if left unchecked the Beyonder will hear things they shouldn't have and potentially lose control from all of the ravings.

Otto quickly thought of an object to calm his mind after promoting Sequence 9 and cause his Spirituality to seep inwardly.

The Method was called Cogitation and the first step was to think of an object one could focus on.

Otto quickly focused on the cup of wine on his desk and gazed at the outline of its structure until the pressure crashing onto his mind stopped and his colorful blurry vision was now in its normal state.

He started to blink rapidly to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary. Otto looked at the usual mirror in the room and the all-familiar outfit of the olden times but soon he took a closer look into his emerald eyes...It was deepened to the point of shifting his pupils to a darkish green.

It was the potion's physical manifestation of his powers but it'll return to normal if he completes the next step of Cogitation and enters Spirit Vision, the ability for Beyonders to see the unseeable such as ghosts and specters.

Next, he had to exchange the object for something that didn't exist so he could enter Cogitation to place himself in a focused calm state.

Otto soon imagined a golden cube made out of distorted lines and his mind became clearer as the image was created from his imagination. Each side of the shape was carefully outlined and connected to each corner, his foggy thoughts becoming more and more distinct

His chaotic emotions now were akin to a calming riverside and soon a gray fog seemed to seep into the office again with bundles of lights covering it.

Otto turned off the lights in the room and shut the blinds on the windows.

He glanced at his hands which were red as fire but had a synthetic look to them.

'Most be because my entire body is made out of literally organic metal but it seems I still have a Soul or I gained one when I transmigrated here?'

The notion of a 'Soul' was what the Original Otto Apocalypse didn't believe in because of its lack of scientific evidence, but what Otto was looking at now with his Spirit Vision was his Ether Body, the outermost layer of his Soul, and a manifestation of a person's vital energies and physical form.

The aura of colors on one's body, as seen by Spirit Vision, is an external phenomenon of the Ether Body.

Their thickness, brightness, and color, can determine a person's health and emotional state.

Currently, the appearance of his arms, limbs, and parts required for movement is red.

His stomach and digestive system appeared yellow.

He took a look at his heart and lungs which appeared green.

His throat and nervous system were blue.

If Otto could look at his head and brain it would be purple.

To fully utilize Spirit Vision he needed a simple switch to access it and use the previous method of Cogination to get in and out of it.

Otto set up his switch by simply pressing his molar teeth together once to activate it and then twice to turn it off.

His vision returned to normal when he pressed his teeth together but a sense of tiredness filled his body.

"It seemed using Spirit Vision took a toll on my mind."

Otto turned back on the lights by the switch nearby on the wall close to the door and he unfolded the blinds causing the sun to send its warmth passing through the clouds into this old clown's office.

"Praise the Sun," Otto said with a smile as he spread out his arms akin to hugging the sun but that moment was taken back when he saw the piles of paper he drew a sigh and went back to his desk.

Seems he forgot all about his duties all because of his Transmigration.

'Thankfully, I sent away Amber before I transmigrated otherwise, she would start screaming seeing me clinching my head in complete agony...Something must be wrong with me if I didn't scream during that'

It was currently 8:00 AM with the sun fully up even with his Path to Divine, Otto still had to do work...This must be the reason why Theresa wanted to escape from being Schicksal's Overseer.

"Paperwork can calm my mind."

He took a single paper out of the pile...A single report made his eyebrow scowl

"Durandal caused property damage again...Of course, she would."

...

Outside of Otto's office stood a beautiful maid with honey blonde hair adorned with Umbral Roses.

She held a plate of eggs benedict for her Master, the Maid prepared to open the door and serve breakfast but to her dismay when she heard sudden laughter and the words.

"Praise the Fool!"

"Praise the Sun!"

Rita smiled and decided to come back for lunch since her Master was celebrating a monumental moment.

Before that with her phone, she recorded his words since it was quite amusing seeing her Master be so rarely passionate.

"I wonder what he's doing?"
