After Being Reborn, I Refuse To Be The Holy Son Of The Sect Anymore

Chapter 7:

Chapter 7:

After finishing his lunch and chatting briefly with his Third Junior Brother, Song Qiang, Xiao Yang watched as Song Qiang tidied up and left with the food container.

Xiao Yang then turned and walked back into the Reflection Cave. He leapt onto a large stone in the cave, sat cross-legged, and began cultivating.

In this life, he was determined to cultivate a sword technique he had obtained in his previous life from an ancient immortal’s cave.

This technique, known as the Heaven-Suppressing Sword Technique, had come to him at great cost, almost costing him his life.

In his previous life, Xiao Yang had only just acquired the technique when he fought a devastating battle against Qin Fei. Before he could even begin cultivating it, he had met his tragic end at Qin Fei’s hands.

Now, reborn, he finally had the chance to master this ancient immortal sword technique.

This was his confidence.

The Heaven-Suppressing Sword Technique was created by an ancient emperor and was a supreme sword technique.

It far surpassed the Qingyang Sword Sect’s Qingyang Sword Technique. Even the pinnacle of the Qingyang Sword Technique was barely equivalent to the entry-level power of the Heaven-Suppressing Sword Technique.

When cultivated to its peak, it could strike down the heavens and defeat thousands of immortals with a single sword!

With such a heaven-defying sword technique, securing first place in the Sixty-Year Grand Competition would be a walk in the park.

In this life, Xiao Yang was determined to live for himself.

He began circulating the Heaven-Suppressing Sword Technique.

Soon, the surrounding spiritual energy was drawn to him by the power emanating from within. The energy surged madly toward him, condensing into his body.

Inside him, his sword essence began transforming into Heaven-Suppressing Sword Qi.

While Xiao Yang cultivated the technique, deep within the Qingyang Sword Sect’s secret grounds, an ancient sword embedded in a sword platform trembled slightly.

The elder guarding the sword, seated below the platform, sensed something and opened his eyes, looking up at the sword.

But he found nothing unusual.

By evening, the sky was aflame with red clouds resembling blood.

Several figures made their way along the mountain path, arriving at the Reflection Cave.

“Brother, come out!” a young girl’s angry voice shouted into the cave.

Inside, Xiao Yang, sitting on the stone, opened his eyes.

He exhaled a breath of turbid air that condensed into the shape of a sword shadow, flying several meters before dissipating into the void.

“The Heaven-Suppressing Sword Technique is truly formidable…”

Xiao Yang stood up.

His sword essence had completely transformed into Heaven-Suppressing Sword Qi, and the flying sword condensed into his dantian had started evolving under its nourishment.

Even his cultivation level showed signs of breaking through.

“Brother, do you think hiding in there will help? Come out now!” the girl outside yelled in frustration.

Xiao Yang frowned slightly before jumping down from the stone. He walked out of the cave slowly, his pace unhurried.

Looking up, he saw them—his parents, his sister, and even Jiang Ting were all there.

“Brother, why did you hurt Brother Qin so badly?” his sister Xiao Yue demanded, glaring at him angrily.

Xiao Yang casually scratched his ear and lazily replied, “Do I need a reason to hit him?”

“Xiao Yang, you’ve gone too far. Come with me and apologize to Qin Fei immediately!” his father, Xiao Zhenshan, shouted.

“Yang’er, you were truly wrong this time. Go apologize to Qin Fei,” his mother, Chen Ruolan, pleaded.

“You want me to apologize to Qin Fei? He doesn’t deserve it,” Xiao Yang said indifferently.

“You ungrateful son! He’s your adopted brother! As his elder brother, not only do you fail to take care of him, but you also beat him and show no remorse. Are you even human?” Xiao Zhenshan roared in anger.

“You’re right. I’m not human. So just pretend you never had me as a son,” Xiao Yang retorted, his voice sharp.

He thought of his past life, where his parents and sister had gone to great lengths to help Qin Fei improve his cultivation. They had handed him the sharpest swords, which Qin Fei had used to stab him.

“What did you just say?” Xiao Zhenshan was furious.

“Senior Brother, what’s wrong with you? These are your parents, and they even brought you many things. How could you treat them like this and break their hearts?” Jiang Ting scolded.

“They brought me many things?” Xiao Yang glanced at the items his parents had brought: some clothes, spiritual herbs, and pills. He sneered.

He knew these were all things Qin Fei had rejected.

“Brother, what kind of attitude is that? If we had known you’d act like this, we would’ve given everything to Brother Qin instead!” Xiao Yue snapped angrily.

“Haha…” Xiao Yang laughed bitterly. “Do I deserve only the leftovers that others don’t want? Is that how lowly I am in your eyes?”

“You…!” Xiao Zhenshan was fuming, his chest heaving with anger.

“Take your things and leave. Don’t come here again. In your eyes, there’s only Qin Fei anyway,” Xiao Yang said, turning and walking back into the cave without hesitation.

“You… you ungrateful son!” Xiao Zhenshan shouted after him, trembling with rage.

“Yang’er, how could you be so inconsiderate?” Chen Ruolan’s voice echoed from outside the cave.

“Senior Brother, why have you become so unreasonable, so heartless?” Jiang Ting’s voice followed.

“Brother, you’ve disappointed everyone! If you don’t apologize to Brother Qin, I won’t acknowledge you as my brother anymore!” Xiao Yue yelled.

Inside the cave, Xiao Yang ignored them.

He thought to himself, ‘That’s for the best. Don’t acknowledge me as your brother, or as your son. Parents? Sister? All you see is Qin Fei anyway.’

“Outrageous! You’ve grown up and think you can do whatever you want? Fine! Let’s go!” Xiao Zhenshan stormed off with the others, taking the items they had brought.

The items were later given to Qin Fei, along with expensive healing herbs bought specifically for him.

The Xiao family’s parents treated Qin Fei, their adopted son, with extraordinary care. Xiao Zhenshan frequently sent herbs and pills to Qin Fei.

Since the falling-out at the Reflection Cave, they had completely ignored Xiao Yang.

When Song Qiang came to deliver food and mentioned that the Xiao family had sent more things to Qin Fei, Xiao Yang felt nothing but calmness.

In his previous life, he had been utterly pathetic.

Qin Fei’s goal was simple: to disrupt Xiao Yang’s state of mind. By using various schemes, Qin Fei had succeeded.

For a long time, Xiao Yang’s cultivation stagnated, while Qin Fei advanced steadily, eventually catching up to him.

Otherwise, Qin Fei wouldn’t have been able to stand as his opponent.

In this life, however, no one could shake Xiao Yang’s resolve.

“Qin Fei, this time, your schemes and tricks will be useless against me,” Xiao Yang thought, his heart steady as a rock.
