[Description: Indifference, the most powerful emotion in the universe, will unshackle you from all others. You will no longer be bound by feelings or constrained by morality. A bright future awaits you.]
"Hmm... this option looks strangely familiar," Lumina murmured, blinking as she read the event description. She pondered for a moment.
"Forget it," she decided, giving up when the memory eluded her. "If I can't remember, it can't be important."
Looking at the three options before her, Lumina turned to Herta and asked, "Which one should I choose, Herta?"
"The Curio! The Curio!" Herta blurted out eagerly.
"Since none of the event options involve an Aeon, I'll go with the Curio," Lumina decided. "That Heart of Indifference effect should appeal to that little brat."
"Mm," Lumina nodded and selected the third option.
[You dusted off your butt and left.]
[Obtained Curio: Heart of Indifference]
Lumina glanced at the Curio in her inventory without much interest. Spotting two combat encounters ahead, she casually wandered into one.
From then until the end of the Tenth Plane, Lumina hadn't encountered a single event. Frustrated, she couldn't help but complain, "Is there something wrong with the probability calculations? I've gone through ten Planes and only encountered one event..."
"That's perfectly normal," Herta replied dismissively, not taking Lumina's complaint seriously. "Low-probability events happen all the time. Nothing to worry about."
"Hey, look! Aren't those two event portals right there?" Herta said, pointing to the two event portals that had suddenly appeared before them in the Simulated Universe.
"Fine, fine," Lumina muttered, eyeing the portals. Why couldn't they have appeared sooner? she thought. But she wouldn't voice such thoughts aloud; it would damage her image.
Lumina casually chose a portal and stepped through.
A familiar sensation washed over her. Opening her eyes, she spotted a question mark event card in the distance and approached to touch it.
[You enter a lush garden, pausing to take in the fragrant flowers, melodious birdsong, and verdant, shaded landscape.]
[Just as you reach for your phone to take a photo, a subtle presence draws your attention.]
You turned to look and saw a white-haired girl in a white dress sitting on a swing made of vines.
The girl smiled at you, as if she had been expecting your arrival.
Option 1: ???
???
"What is this?" Lumina muttered, puzzled by the event displayed before her, which consisted entirely of question marks except for its title.
Though she didn't recognize the event, Lumina suspected it was somehow connected to her.
"Hmm..." Herta fell silent, watching the scene unfold on the screen.
After a moment, she suggested, "Try triggering this event using your developer privileges."
Lumina exited the event, activated developer mode, and retriggered it.
Option 1: Waiting for input...
"Hmm... Does this mean I have to write it myself?" Lumina mumbled. She began typing, and when she realized she could indeed edit the event, her eyes lit up.
"Then go ahead and write whatever you want," Herta said, observing Lumina's enthusiasm.
Lumina's fingers flew across the keyboard as she scribbled furiously, quickly drafting an entirely new event.
