A Student with Multiverse Chat Group

[ Itadori's POV ]

I did it.

I told everyone in the chat, that I ate a finger. But I couldn't muster up the courage to tell that it had led to King of Curses, inhabit my body. They will probably hate me, but I have to tell it to them. Otherwise, it would be a surprise which would end up becoming their deaths, while we would be on a quest.

Taking a deep breath, I summoned the chat screen and touched on the chat to tell them the reason why I ate the finger! And first message that came, was of Rei. He is online again, good, except Bang, everyone is online right now.

[[ Rei: Itadori swallowed a finger? But why? ]]

[[ Nami: What kind of world he is living in, where he feasts on fingers. Is he really a human? ]]

[[ Itadori: I am human. But it was such a situation, that led me to swallow that finger ]]

[[ Megumin: What situation makes someone swallow a finger? I don't understand what you're trying to say. Can you make it clear to us? ]]

[[ Itadori: Well, It's a long story, but I will make it short. In my world, there are curses in form of monsters which float around the world. Only humans who are at the verge of death or sorcerers can see them. And last night, one of sorcerer's and my friends lives were in danger, so to save them, I swallowed a finger of King of Curses, which is a very rare item. Now it's inhabiting my body ]]

[[ Nami: Are you an idiot! Why would you do that? ]]

[[ Itadori: But I had no other choice, if I hadn't eaten the finger at that moment, my friends and that sorcerer would have been killed by that curse ]]

[[ Nami: But now we'll be killed by it! What if it takes over your body while we're doing a quest? We'll lose our lives in our first quest, thanks to you, Itadori ]]

But I didn't do that intentionally.

[[ Rei: Don't worry, Nami. We've someone in our chat group who is far stronger than this curse king, Yuji speak of ]]

There is? Hmm….Let me think,….

[[ Nami: ? ]]

Oh right!

[[ Itadori: Megumin! ]]

Hell yeah! With a powerful wizard like her on our side, it would be a piece of cake for her to subdue Sukuna, if he takes over my body.

[[ Megumin: Me?! ]]

[[ Rei: You told us that you've slain the demon lord and now you're waiting for a challenge. This seems like a perfect opportunity, don't you think Megumin? ]]

[[ Megumin: Yeah, you're right. I'll burn him into ashes with my explosion magic, so all of you can count on me ]]

[[ Rei: See, the problem is solved. We don't have to worry about it anymore, if he does shows up, Megumin will use magic to knock him down instantly ]]

[[ Nami: I don't know why, but I am getting a bad feeling about all this ]]

With that reply, she went offline, leaving me with Rei and Megumin on chat group.

[[ Rei: By the way, have anyone talked to Bang, after I left the chat discussion ]]

Our conversations then went back to normal. It made me breath a sigh of relief, that I was not a threat to them anymore. It was weighing on my mind ever since I ate Sukuna's finger, how will chat members treat me, knowing I would be a threat to their lives.

Megumin would be able to take care of Sukuna and to her, it will be just a walk in park. I was getting worried for nothing. I can't wait to meet her, and learn some magic and use it to supress Sukuna and possibly killing him.

"Yuji kun!"

"Don't scare me like that!"

Satoru Gojo. This dude comes out of nowhere and gives me jumpscares ever since we left the execution spot. How does he even do that?

"You seemed to be in deep thought" asked Gojo as he looked at me with a curious gaze. He sat down next to me and asked, "What were you thinking about?"

Would a powerful sorcerer like him be able to see this chat group screen?

"Can you see this blue screen?" I pointed at the screen in front of me, which had the chats of members from different worlds. I want to make sure that it's not a curse that's making me see things like this or was it really something totally out of our world.

"Hmm….." He stared at me while those blindfolds were on his eyes. I still could feel his stare somehow and then he asked with hand on his chin, in a serious tone, "Did you smoke something?"

I just sighed at his remark and turned off the screen, which didn't caught his eye at all. A powerful sorcerer like him couldn't see it, then this is definitely not an effect of curse on me. I am not going to let Sukuna take control of me and kill anyone, it's a promise.

[ Itadori's POV End ]

Somewhere in the unknown place, a man sitting on the mountain of skulls, which had surprisingly same appearance as Yuji, witnessed everything what Itadori did within the chat group. He had several black marks all across his face and body.

'A Chat group...Hehe interesting~. Megumin….. I can't wait to tear apart that wizard, who claims to kill me on spot. Hahahahahaha' the man with glowing red eyes smirked in the dark, while having maniacal grin on his face. Meanwhile, Itadori who was talking with Gojo, was totally unaware that he had joined the fifth member in chat group, unknowingly.

[ Rei's POV ]

Next day I woke up earlier in the morning as usual at sharp 4 am. That's how my day goes everyday, except for the yesterday, since I have to stay awake late at night to study, after I was done with stray hunt. But today, I continue the grind like usual.

Retrieving the pamplet out of my notebook, I placed it on the floor and then with chanting few words, while placing my hand over it, the pamplet glowed brightly and took me inside it completely. Opening my eyes, the familiar battleground appeared in front of my vision.

[[ Lvl 42 ]] [[ IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ]]

The health bar of this monster is ridiculous. The previous one wasn't this vicious looking and it's appearance pretty much similar to Zodd, from Berserk manga. Is it the foreshadowing that I might pay a visit in the world of Berserk? That would be insane. With my current thunder and lightning ability alongwith this powerful sword, I am strong enough to deal with these level of monsters.

I can coat myself into electricity and increase my speed ten fold, which is a very crucial skill in my arsenal right now. But I refrain from using it, so that I could develop more of my physical strength, because that's my weak point.

*ROAARRR!*

The electricity crackled around my sword and I dashed straight at the winged demon, coming at me.

*ROAARRR!*

I clashed my swords, straight with his claws which would tear apart mountains with an ease. My sword wasn't a regular one, it's a sacred gear which inhabits the sacred creature, Raiju. That's what Rias told me, after she went through every list of sacred gears currently. I haven't yet awakened it's next form, in which I would be able to talk to him.

I launched few tiny electric balls straight to his eyes, which exploded instantly and blinded his vision and taking this chance, I swinged the electricity surrounded sword with all of my strength and attacked straight at his chest. It screamed in pain and blood splurted all over me, causing me to bathe in it's blood.

Surprisingly, the attack wasn't enough to finish him. The health bar was still showing more than half and it did little damage to it. The skin of this monster was thick enough, to resist the combination of my attack. I jumped back and took a safe distance from him.

I was disappointed that my attack was rendered useless. It recognizes the attack pattern and I can't use the same tactic to land an attack on him, I need to find another tactic to deal a damage on him. It spreaded it's wings and launched straight at me, while roaring loudly, causing my heart to pump in excitement and thrill.

I clashed the sword, once again with him, sending shockwaves all across the place. It can't be helped, I've to think of something or else, I would lose this level. Thinking for a bit, I took a safe distance from it and then pierced my sword on the ground and concentrated the whole electrical energy that I had left in the shape of a giant ball, and send straight at it, with me following behind.

The damage dealt by the demon was so much, that it almost dropped to the zero and with one last sword strike while he was still paralyzed from the shock, I marked my victory.

As it's health bar dropped to 0, I was enveloped in a bright light and was back into my room. It took 1 hour for me to defeat that demon, not bad. It's an improvement, which is a good thing and a great way to start the day. Picking up the water bottle from my desk, I emptied the bottle in few seconds after my breath was back to the normal.

Yesterday night's chat discussion has made me rethink about this whole situation about chat members. I was well aware about Itadori's this incident and how it will turn out of his life, ahead. And that makes me think, should I have told him about his future and what difficulties it would bring in his life? But then, I stopped myself from doing that.

There is a good reason for me doing that. Not only him, but everyone in this chat group had their fate written by their respective authors, but with me warning them, might end them up in worse situations and then after, I have nothing to predict, I can't guess past that point and it would be more messed up.

I wonder if Sukuna can witness all of our interactions within chat group. That would be quite troublesome, if he ends up knowing our strengths and weaknesses. Well, he might be the king of curses, but the current him is far weaker than me and that's not even ego speaking. It's the truth.

As Itadori gains the rewards from quests, he will also get the hold of it and that's when things will turn ugly for each of us ahead. I have to find a way to separate him from Itadori and diminish every bits of him by throwing them in dimensional gap. There is no way, he will be able to take over Great Red's body, that would be impossible for someone like him.

For that to make it happen, I need an access to Itadori's world, which I don't have access to, right now. Perhaps, as we complete more quests, there comes the feature, to travel in between the chat member's worlds and that would be perfect opportunity to get rid of Sukuna for once and all.

He might be my one of my favourite villain, but definitely not someone I will be friends with. As for Megumin, it would be a sight to see her clash with Sukuna, when all of us are on a quest. I am already imagining her drop down to the ground by launching a single explosion on him, out of which he will come out alive. I am only seeing bizarre adventures from here on.
