A new life at duel academy

"Ain't that the Kai guy?"

"Yeah, dude! Wait, is that Dr. Crowler—"

"—and the Chancellor?"

"Wait, are they actually gonna duel??"

"No way!"

"THEY'RE ACTUALLY GONNA DUEL!!"

Excitement rippled through the stands as every student shifted their attention to the duel about to unfold. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, and even the dueling students in the arena paused, captivated by the unfolding spectacle.

"What's happening? Why is everyone so shocked right now?" Jaden asked a nearby Slifer Red student.

"Kai is dueling Dr. Crowler and the Chancellor at the same time."

"What!!" The revelation left Jaden, Bastion, and Syrus utterly dumbfounded, their eyes wide in disbelief.

"Kai is dueling Dr. Crowler and the Chancellor? But why?" Bastion asked, confusion etched on his face.

"Shouldn't he be dueling a student from Red?" Syrus added, glancing around as if searching for answers.

"We don't really know, to be honest," the Slifer student replied, shrugging.

"KAI!!!" Jaden shouted from the stands, his voice cutting through the chaos.

"??"

"What happened, Jaden?" I asked, turning my attention to him.

"Good luck, bro!" he shouted, waving his arms enthusiastically.

"Thanks!" I called back, feeling a rush of adrenaline.

"Anyways, where were we?" I refocused on the arena, the stakes high as I prepared for the duel.

"It's time to duel!"

Duelists:

Kai: [4000 LP]

Sheppard: [4000 LP]

Crowler: [4000 LP]

"I draw!" Sheppard announced, a smirk creeping onto his face. "I'll start by activating Polymerization to fuse the two Cyber Ogres in my hand, summoning Cyber Ogre 2 (2600/1900). I will then set a card face down and end my turn."

"Wow! The Chancellor already summoned a powerful monster on his first turn," a student gasped.

"Yeah, no wonder he's the Chancellor," another chimed in.

"A fusion monster in his first turn? He's playing just like me," I thought, my competitive spirit igniting.

"My turn then." I stepped forward, adrenaline coursing through me. "I summon Ancient Gear (100/800) in attack position. Then, from my hand, I special summon a second Ancient Gear thanks to its ability."

"I will then activate the spell card 'Double Summon,' which allows me to normal summon a second time this turn."

"…"

"I will sacrifice my two Ancient Gears to summon my legendary Ancient Gear Golem (3000/3000)!"

"Wow! A 3000 attack point monster on his first turn!!!" the crowd gasped collectively.

"My turn. I draw." Sheppard looked unfazed. "I will start by activating Pot of Greed, which allows me to draw two cards."

"Now it's time for some real strategy," I thought, feeling the anticipation build.

"I will then activate Greater Polymerization."

"Greater Polymerization?" Crowler asked, his eyebrows raising in confusion.

"Yeah. It's just like Polymerization, but better," I explained confidently.

"I fuse five cards in my hand—Avance Swordsman of the Nekroz, Emilia Dance Priestess of the Nekroz, Dance Princess of the Nekroz, Zefrasaber Swordmaster of the Nekroz, and Shaddoll Zefranaga—to summon Quintet Magician (4500/4500). Since Quintet Magician was fused using five different Spellcasters, its effect activates, wiping your entire field clean."

"You're joking??" Crowler's voice trembled, disbelief evident on his face.

"No joke. Quintet Magician, clean the field for us!" I commanded.

A powerful wind enveloped the arena, swirling with energy as cracks spread through both Ancient Gear Golem and Cyber Ogre 2, shattering Sheppard's facedown card until nothing remained. The crowd erupted in awe.

"That's a ridiculously powerful monster and an even more powerful effect!" Bastion exclaimed, his voice rising above the din.

"Quintet Magician, attack Sheppard directly!" I declared, a surge of victory swelling within me.

Sheppard: [4000 LP] ➜ [0 LP]

"I then activate the spell card De-Fusion," I said, relishing the moment.

"What??" Crowler stammered, panic creeping into his voice.

"You know what that means, Crowler. I win."

Crowler: [4000 LP] ➜ [0 LP]

"And that's game, folks..." I proclaimed, my heart racing as I stepped away from the arena.

Cheers and screams of my name filled the air, a tidal wave of adulation crashing over me.

I made my way to the stands.

"I'm not that surprised you were able to win that 2v1," Bastion said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Yeah, me neither, to be honest," Jaden added. 

"…So when are you guys dueling?" I inquired.

"Just after this batch is done. Then it's my turn. Oh man, I can't wait!"

*The rest of the duels goes the same as in the anime. Jaden defeats Chazz, gets promoted to Ra, refuses to go to Ra. Kai also refuses his promotion since his ego is too big to wear yellow.*
