Chapter 6: Technology of 500 Years In The Future
If modern humans were to bring a division of tanks 500 years into the past, what would happen? Would anyone be able to stop them?
"With my abilities and the technology from 500 years in the future, Father, I have the power to make your era bow before me. There's no need for theatrics, no need to play the savior. In this era, I am a god!"
Nobita weakly objected, "No matter what, you're still just a human. If we unite and work together, do you really think you can win against all of us with just two people?"
But the difference here was clear: Kelly and Karen were only two people, not an entire armed division.
In response to Nobita's argument, Kelly simply laughed maniacally and raised her hand. A blue energy shield appeared, enveloping her completely.
"The thing that robot called a protective force field is actually a type of energy armor. It's generated by a special type of radiation that coats the entire body. Even in its inactive, invisible state, it can still protect the user from external impacts. When activated, it becomes even stronger, continuously reinforcing itself in response to external forces—the greater the external force, the tougher the radiation field becomes. With just this energy armor, we can withstand meteor strikes, let alone the primitive weapons of this era."
Nobita was horrified. Even modern bulletproof vests couldn't necessarily stop a bullet completely. The idea that energy armor, made of mere radiation, could be as powerful as Kelly claimed seemed implausible. Nobita believed that even with technology from 500 years in the future, it would be impossible for just two people to face the entire world. If guns and bullets weren't effective, there would still be tanks, rockets, and other weapons. After all, a knife from thousands of years ago can still kill today.
But... Nobita was wrong.
His mistake was underestimating the advancements of science and technology 500 years into the future. This flawed thinking might have stemmed from Doraemon's earlier comment: "Even in a few hundred years, humanity won't achieve the technological feats of Përjetësia."
That's right, even 500 years from now, Earth won't compare to Përjetësia, but humanity's progress cannot be underestimated. Humans initially spent thousands of years building civilization, then hundreds of years understanding the world, and now they have reached the current level in just a few decades. Humanity's progress is exponential, meaning 500 years of future advancements could rival thousands of years of past progress.
It's important to know that in the present era, it's not easy for humans to prevent meteors. To travel in space, spacecraft need to go through multiple processes to reinforce the hull, but even then, absolute safety can't be guaranteed. Yet Kelly's energy armor could defend against meteors!
"Enough talking. Let this era welcome its new queen!"
Nobita clenched his fists, his face pale and unsure of what to do, but Doraemon remained calm and confidently said, "I dare say you two won't succeed!"
Kelly furrowed her brow at Doraemon, while Karen's expression turned cold. "You don't believe we have the capability? Kelly, maybe it's time to give these ignorant fools a little lesson. Let's see..." Karen glanced at the mountain peak. "How about we make that mountain peak disappear?"
Nobita trembled. "Are you planning to blow up this mountain?"
Karen chuckled. "Blow it up? Father, we won't use such outdated methods." Karen stood up from beside Doraemon and took out a rectangular device. "You know, Father, this device can create a type of radiation different from the radiation of the armor. This radiation can instantly compress the mountain peak to a state almost close to nothingness."
Nobita was shocked, and Karen casually continued, "Don't be so surprised. This is just a small trick."
Kelly smirked. "Let me show you just how powerless this era is against us."
She picked up a rock from the ground and explained, "In this era, everyone believes this rock is solid and cannot be compressed. But in reality, everything in this world is made of molecules, and within those molecules are countless atoms separated by vast empty spaces. If we were to eliminate those empty spaces, Father, can you guess what would happen?"
"What… what would happen?" Nobita stammered.
"The rock will disappear, not in the sense of completely vanishing, but it will shrink so much that it can no longer be seen with the naked eye. If we wanted, we could compress it even further. The mountain is no different. Karen and I can easily use this method to compress the entire peak to the point of near nothingness!"
Nobita was drenched in sweat, his whole body shaking violently. He turned his head to look at Doraemon, hoping Doraemon would have a solution. Unlike Nobita, Doraemon remained as calm as ever, completely unafraid, then Nobita saw Doraemon look up with a confident smile...
