Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Resonance of the Fallen
Sardinia
"Are you really going to summon Lucifer to fight him?" Lucretia asked gravely. Her knowledge of Heretic Gods was vast, but when it came to Lucifer specifically, her information was scarce—almost nonexistent.
Beyond his incomprehensible power, there were no records of him. He hadn't been summoned or descended willingly in the past 1,000 years.
"That's exactly what I plan to do," Kojou nodded. Though he didn't understand his own obsession with Lucifer, since childhood, he'd been drawn to every myth and story about the fallen angel.
Perhaps it was because his name in the Western Church was synonymous with Lucifer, the Fallen Angel.
"I know what you're trying to say, but this man will never change his mind once it's made up," Erica interjected, seeing Lucretia's hesitation.
"Sigh… Just be careful. Lucifer is beyond dangerous," Lucretia conceded, defeated by Erica's words and Kojou's unshakable resolve.
"No need to worry. Ena will be with His Majesty," Ena smiled. After her battle with Voban, her power had grown exponentially—she could even borrow Kojou's strength now.
"True. As we are now, we won't fall easily, even against other Campiones," Erica agreed. She'd become Kojou's Blood Servant and gained the divine protection of the God of Victory.

(⓿_⓿) — Kojou stared wide-eyed at the sudden notification as they arrived at Lucretia's vacation home.
"Kojou…" Erica's voice turned sharp as she summoned her sword, shifting into combat stance.
The other girls followed suit. All of them sensed the terrifying presence inside the house.
'What is this…?' Kojou pressed a hand to his chest, feeling an inexplicable resonance between his soul and the being within.
Though the aura radiating from inside was overwhelming, enough to make anyone tremble in primal fear, Kojou felt something else—calm, as if he'd returned home. The aura was eerily familiar.
"Wait here." He moved to enter alone, but a hand gripped his wrist.
"Wait!!" Erica's body shook with instinctive dread, but her eyes were steel. "We're your Knights. Our duty is to protect our Master—even if it means marching into hell with you."
"Erica-san is right, Your Majesty," Ena said solemnly, tightening her grip on Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi. "Ena will fight by your side."
"A Knight's duty is to stand with their Master, even unto death," Liliana added quietly, summoning her own sword.
"As your wife, I can't let you face danger while I hide in safety," Lucretia smiled. Despite her elegant demeanor, she was the strongest among them after Kojou.
"…" Kojou studied their faces, then sighed and pushed the door open.
Lucretia's vacation home was luxurious, rivaling her primary residence—but this one was even more exquisite, designed for leisure.
The moment they stepped inside, Kojou's senses were assaulted by the pungent stench of wine, so overpowering it made him nauseous.
The resonance in his soul grew stronger, pulling him inexorably toward the living room.
"What the hell…?" Erica grimaced at the wine's reek, eyeing the countless empty bottles littering the floor. The closer they got, the more bottles they found—over a thousand by the time they reached the living room.
"…" While the others stared at the bottles, Kojou's gaze locked onto the room's sole occupant.
A tall man with long silver hair and crimson eyes that glowed with malice. He stood half a head taller than Kojou.
At first glance, the man embodied perfection—his height, physique, and face radiated arrogance, as if nothing in the world deserved his attention.
Yet when his disdainful eyes landed on Kojou, they flickered with something else: curiosity and disbelief.
"I see… So you're…" The man's voice was magnetic, laced with a power that demanded obedience.
