The Shadow Of Fate

Chapter 1: chapter 1: The Prophecy and Birth

In the heart of the ancient kingdom of Valoria, where legends breathed life into the land and prophecies wove the future, an event unfolded that would change the course of history forever. Two months before the rise of the blood moon, a celestial omen both feared and revered, a powerful deity known only as Fate descended from the heavens. Their presence was overwhelming, as though time itself bent to their will.

The Saintess, a wise and ancient guardian of the sanctuary called Saintess's Haven, felt the very fabric of reality tremble when Fate appeared before her. The deity spoke with a voice that transcended all gender, reverberating in the air like a storm ready to break.
"Two months from now," Fate announced, "on the night of the blood moon, two lives will come into this world. One shall rise as the kingdom's savior, a beacon of light in its darkest days. The other will be the harbinger of ruin, a shadow that will swallow all in its path. They are twins, destined by blood and fate, their lives forever intertwined. Prepare yourself, Saintess, for the prophecy is upon us."
Before the Saintess could speak a word, Fate disappeared into the ether, leaving a lingering silence in its wake. The weight of the prophecy hung heavy in the air, and the Saintess could feel both hope and dread taking root within her. The blood moon, for centuries, had been a harbinger of turmoil and great change, and now it would announce the birth of two children whose destinies would shake Valoria to its core.
The Saintess spent the next two months in quiet contemplation and preparation, each passing day bringing her closer to the unknown. Though powerful beyond measure, the Saintess could not escape the growing unease that gnawed at her—something dark was coming.
On the night of the blood moon, the prophecy unfolded. A crimson light bathed the sanctuary, casting long, twisting shadows that seemed to pulse with life. When the first cry rang out from the sanctuary's chambers, the Saintess's heart stilled.
The firstborn was a boy with hair as pale as frost, and when he opened his eyes, they glowed with an unsettling red light. The Saintess, her voice faltering, named him Lazarus, knowing the moment he was born that his fate had been sealed. His vampiric nature was undeniable, and though his power was vast, she felt the shadow of Fate's warning looming over him.
Not long after, the second twin entered the world. His golden hair caught the light of the blood moon, and his cat-like golden eyes shimmered with warmth and vitality, standing in stark contrast to his brother's piercing gaze. The Saintess named him Alucard, her heart stirring with hope as she cradled him. Like Lazarus, Alucard was a hybrid—part human, part vampire—and he radiated a light that his twin lacked.
Together, the twins fulfilled the prophecy foretold by Fate. But as the Saintess marveled at their presence, an ancient and malevolent force stirred in the darkness. Far to the north, in the shadowed halls of Castle Noctis, Dracula, the lord of vampires, felt the awakening of the blood moon and sensed the power of the elder twin. Drawn by the potential within Lazarus, Dracula moved silently toward the sanctuary, his presence a foreboding shadow.
Despite her vast power, the Saintess was no match for Dracula. He appeared before her, his crimson eyes gleaming with malice, and in a flash of movement, he took Lazarus from her arms. Without hesitation, Dracula sealed Lazarus's fate with a single bite, transforming him into a pure-blooded vampire. In that instant, Lazarus's true potential was unlocked, and the Saintess was helpless to prevent it. As Dracula vanished into the night with the child, the Saintess could do nothing but watch in silence.
Left with only Alucard, the Saintess made a vow to raise him as the light of the World. She would train him to embody the virtues of compassion, justice, and hope, for he was destined to fulfill the role foretold by Fate.
Thus, the twins' lives diverged. Lazarus was forged in the cold, dark heart of Dracula's castle, where he was molded into a weapon of unyielding power. In contrast, Alucard thrived in the peace and tranquility of the Saintess's haven, his hybrid nature nurtured with care and love.
Though separated by distance and circumstance, their fates remained intertwined, bound by the prophecy that had heralded their births. The blood moon that had marked the beginning of their lives would one day bring them together again—when the World would stand on the edge of ruin, and two brothers, once divided, would be drawn together in a clash of light and shadow.
Two brothers. Two destinies. One World torn apart by prophecy. And as the threads of fate wove their story, the balance between light and dark would hang in the balance.
