The very next morning, Rein left the city and teleported to the Donesier house. Feordio was very surprised by his sudden arrival but was very happy at the same time. He again welcomed Rein to the best of his ability.

But this time, Rein was in a very serious mood and that became very clear with just a look at him. Feordio was a smart person and he immediately understood that the situation was very serious. So he did not wasted any time and quickly arranged for a meeting in the same reception room as before.

Rein did not meet around the bush and asked Feordio who their enemy actually was. Rein had not really asked that question before as he was sure that no matter who they were, they would not be a match for the Leonance family and would not do anything to the Donesier family suddenly. But now it looked like he should have been a bit more thoughtful about all this.

Hearing Rein's question, colour went away from Feordio's face and he became pale. Then with a shacky voice he asked Rein if something had happened. Rein did not hide the situation from Feordio told him how several rank 2 and rank 3 mages had tried to attack Flora and Mertha.

Hearing this, Feordio became even paler but at the same time, his eyes became more serious and determined. Then he deeply bowed his head to Rein apologied for not being completely transparent from the very beginning.

Then Feordio told them that their enemy was was the Montana family. Previously Montana family was also a count family with a rank 4 mage just like the Donesier family. But then the rank 4 mage of the Donesier family died and the family went into hiding.

On the other hand, the mage of the Montala family managed to find himself a special inheritance and reached the fifth rank. This was a massive achievement and the Montala family were promoted to being a marquis family after that.

Before his death, the ancestors for the Donesier family had made quite a few preparation. And the rank 5 mages of the nations were quite busy with their research and work. So the rank 5 mage never took action himself but the other member of his family were different.

There was one fortunate thing for the Donesier family though. Other than the rank 5 mage, the second strongest person of that famaly was just a rank 3 mage. So with various measures left behind by their ancestor, that rank 3 mage was powerless to harm them.

Rein got a bit curious about hearing this. So he asked if Feordio could tell him what kind of thing could make a rank 3 mage this fearful. In answer Feordio decided to show it to Rein. At first he wished to hide it but now that he was trying to be transparent, he did not to hide it from Rein anymore.

He took Rein to an underground hidden room and upon entering the room, Rein found himself staring at a metal golem. But this was not a regular bulky golem and instead was a heavily customised one with a slender frame.

Rein started to check the golem with his eye of truth and was truly impressed by it. This golem was very well made and well preserved. The ancestor of the Donesier family was definitely extremely proficient in the field of golems.

With her gold affinity, this field was something that Lopas also interested in. So Rein decided to bring her to see this golem soon. Even though she was also a rank 4 mage, this golem would still give her a lot of insights in this field. That was just how good this golem was.

Rein also understood why the Donesier family did not fear the rank three mage of the Montana family. This golem was equipped with various magjc weapons that would be troublesome for any mage below rank 4 to handle. Rein judged that even Luna would not be able to directly defeat it even though her strength was quite high even amongst the other rank 3 mages.

Rein praised the golem wholeheartedly and hearing that Feordio's heart was filled with pride. This golem was their family's biggest secret and strongest trump card. They did need a huge amount of magic crystal to activate this golem. But the family had made sure to stock up on a large amount. They were willing to live in poverty for decades but were unwilling to not have enough magjc crystal for the golem.

With the presence of the golem was Rein was sure about the survival of the Donesier family for the time being. He mostly was worried about the fact that if their enemy decided to attack the main household of the Donesier family before Rein's team could return back to the capital and get the Donesier family officially under the protection of the Leonance family.

Rein was sure that a proud rank 5 mage would never take action against a family that was not even a noble family currently. So finally Rein was able to relax. Then he immediately decided to return back. Feordio did asked Rein to stay and rest in their house but Rein was not willing. Now that somehow he had managed to finish his work here so early, if he returned now, he would be able to enjoy more time and the shopping date with the girls. So he did not stay and immediately teleported back.

While Rein was away, the girls were preparing a surprise for him. They were aware for how much Rein loved them and how excited he was about their date. But then suddenly they had to cancel the plans. That would definitely make Rein very sad, so the girls wanted to do something to cheer him up.

They thought about many things but Rein really did not need anything for his daily life. So after thinking a lot about it, Lopas and Luna decided to cook for Rein with their own hands.

It was not like Lopas and Luna had never cooked for him before and everytime they did, Rein always looked extra happy. Not only that but Lopas still remembered how happy her grandfather was after getting to eat her surprise cooking, so she was sure that Rein would also love to get surprised with the same kind of thing.

Not only that but the ladies also wanted to cook something new and special for this occasion. So they went to ask for Mertha's help. As an experienced housewife, Mertha was very familiar with various tasty dishes.

So would the girls be able to surprise Rein or would he return before that ?
