Chapter 2: Part 2. Don't Leave Me
Axton unraveled his embrace, he held both shoulders of Elanor, who was still silent. ''Elanor,'' Axton called with a look that Elanor couldn't understand. ''I missed you,'' said Axton, then he was about to bring his face closer, their lips were almost pressed against each other before Elanor pushed Axton's body away.
''El, dear,'' called Axton, whose face was so confused and surprised by Elanor's actions.
''You're wrong, mister,'' said Elanor. Elanor then looked at one of her bodyguards. ''Take this gentleman back to his home, and make sure he gets home safely!'' Elanor ordered her bodyguard with a stern look and a cold expression on her face.
''Yes, miss,'' the bodyguard replied and immediately stepped towards Axton.
''No!'' Axton refused and immediately approached Elanor but had to stop when Elanor pointed a knife at Axton. One of the bodyguards who approached Axton stopped his steps to see what was happening in front of him.
''If you go forward, then don't blame me if this knife cuts your body,'' warned Elanor with a sharp look in her eyes. A look that Axton didn't recognize at all.
Axton was silent, his face that was previously unreadable to Elanor now looked so cold. Axton's face that Elanor knows very well. This was Axton's true face, not the face like before that Elanor couldn't read at all. Axton held the knife, holding it so tightly that blood came out of Axton's palm.
Elanor was shocked, and so were the bodyguards there who were also shocked by what Axton did. Elanor tried not to change the look on her face, she held the knife even tighter until the blood continued to flow from Axton's hand. ''Tsk!'' Elanor yelled in annoyance and let go of the knife.
Axton now held the knife and pointed it at his chest. ''If killing me makes you satisfied, then kill me,'' Axton said.
''Go home, sir, this is not your place. Your place is only in that luxurious mansion,'' Elanor said without looking at Axton.
''I'll go home with you,'' Axton said.
Elanor did not care at all about Axton's words, she chose to step aside and leave there. ''Master!'' screamed the bodyguards, who were looking at Axton, who had raised the knife to kill himself.
Elanor turned his body around, too late. The knife was stuck in Axton's stomach. Elanor ran over to Axton's unsteady body and swiftly supported him. ''Are you out of your mind, sir?" Elanor asked angrily as tears welled up in the corners of her eyes.
Axton smiled, and with the bloodied hand, he now touched Elanor's cheek and wiped away the tears that were now rolling down Elanor's cheeks. ''Don't cry,'' Axton said.
''You're a fool, sir,'' said Elanor.
Axton just smiled at Elanor's words. ''Don't go away from me, I'm sorry,'' Axton said in a stifled voice.
''Shut your mouth if you still want to live. Remember, there is an Ellard waiting for you at home,'' said Elanor.
''Come with me, don't leave me,'' Axton said with a smile.
''Miss,'' called one of the bodyguards. Elanor raised her head to look at the bodyguard who called her.
"The car is here," said the bodyguard, whose face was trying to be neutral when he saw the tears in their lady's eyes.
"Hurry up and bring it to the car!" ordered Elanor in a stern tone of voice.
Two bodyguards immediately lifted Axton's body, making Axton scream. ''El, El!"
Elanor didn't answer, she just followed her bodyguards, and she got in first before Axton was brought into the car. Elanor pressed Axton's injured stomach with the blazer she was wearing. ''Stay conscious, don't close your eyes until you are attended to by a doctor,'' said Elanor, who was trying to remain calm even though her heart was so restless at the moment.
How not to be anxious if Axton's blood was already coming out because Axton pulled the knife out of his stomach. ''Yes,'' Axton replied briefly with a smile.
''Why isn't your face like it used to be? I don't like that flat face of yours. Don't be flat-faced, I like your worried face and smile,'' Axton said.
''Shut up, don't talk so much!'' said Elanor, glaring angrily at Axton.
''If I keep quiet, I'll get sleepy. My eyes feel very sleepy already,'' Axtone said with a smile.
''You close your eyes, I assure you I will not accompany you at all. I'll dump you here!" said Elanor.
''Invite me to talk then, and your face shouldn't be cold like that. I don't like it, I prefer your worried, happy, jealous face. But I'd rather see your face that sighs in pleasure by calling my name and your naughty words from your mouth and you that squirt,'' Axton said, then chuckled.
''Damn it! Stop saying perverted words!" Elanor annoyed and pressed hard on Axton's injured stomach, making Axton groan in pain, and Elanor now changed her face to feel guilty but tried not to care even though Axton could faintly see Elanor's worried look.
Axton raised one hand and rubbed Elanor's cheek. ''I really like this face,'' Axton said with a smile. Elanor ignored what Axton was doing.
''I'm sorry,'' Axton said, and Elanor just stayed silent, saying nothing.
''Ah... it turns out Ellard looks like you,'' Axton said.
Elanor was silent at Axton's words. ''Mommy said Ellard looks like me, but I didn't think he looked like me. It's true, he looks like you,'' Axton said with a smile.
His smile now faded and turned sad. ''I neglected Ellard after your departure,'' said Axton, whose face was now so gloomy.
Elanor remained silent and would only listen to what Axton had to say. ''All these years I've been searching for your whereabouts. I've traveled all over Las Vegas, and all over America I've searched but never found you. I also searched in England, the place where we first met. But I didn't find you at all,'' Axton said.
''I forgot about Ellard because I was too focused on finding you. I've been mean to Ellard all these years. He grew up with his maid and baby siter,'' Axton said and began to cry.
Elanor still did not respond to Axton's words. She did not expect Axton to look for her. Even though Axton himself wanted her to leave his life after her duties were completed. But why does she have to hear Axton looking for her now? What was wrong with Axton to look for her like that?
''My selfishness in focusing more on finding you made Ellard very sick. I'm a bad daddy for making my son so sick,'' said Axton, whose tears were flowing even faster.
''Stop crying and stop talking!'' said Elanor.
''Honey, please save Ellard. If you want to avenge your heartache, avenge it on me. But please save our child. I can't do anything at all, only you can help our child. Please save our child, I beg you,'' Axton said pleadingly.
''You survive first, then talk about this. Do you want to die, huh!'' snapped Elanor, annoyed with Axton's attitude, who couldn't shut up. He should have saved his strength for being injured like this, but Axton didn't stop talking.
''Honey, please save our son,'' Elanor begged.
''You want Ellard to die? If you don't, then think about saving yourself first. So, shut up!" angry Elanor, who looked at Axton so angrily. Axton was silent, he was completely silent until the car was already at the hospital.
Axton was immediately taken to the emergency room to get help. Meanwhile, Elanor was now in the bathroom to clean the blood on her hands and face. Finished washing her hands and face, now she stares into the mirror, her face looks so messy just because she is so worried and afraid of Axton being hurt. The ringing of the phone alerted Elanor, she took her cell phone and looked at the cell phone screen, which displayed the name ''Old Man.'' Lazily, she picked up the call.
''Are you out of your mind?'' the person on the other end of the line asked in a raised and angry tone of voice.
