The Alpha Soulbound Mate [BL]

Chapter 25: Chapter 26:Reunion in sorrow

Alpha Thane sat in his office, his eyes fixed on the phone in his hand. He had been debating whether to call Kaiden, to tell him the news about Aurora's passing. But as he thought about Aiden's deteriorating health, he knew he had to make the call.

He dialed Kaiden's number, his heart heavy with the weight of the news he was about to share. When Kaiden answered,he took a deep breath before speaking.

"Kaiden, I'm afraid I have some terrible news."

Kaiden, Concerned and alarmed asked, "What is it, Alpha Thane? What's wrong?"

Alpha Thane took another deep breath and replied him , his voice somber. " it's Aurora... she's dead, Kaiden. She died saving Aiden .

There was a pause on the other end of the line, Kaiden Stunned, struggling to process the news. "No... that can't be. Aurora... how did it happened." He stammered. Pausing for a while , "How's Aiden? How's he taking it?"

"Aiden's taken it badly," Alpha Thane said, his voice filled with worry. "He's not eating, not sleeping. He's consumed by grief and guilt. He keeps saying it's his fault, that he should have been the one to die instead of Aurora. His health is deteriorating rapidly. I'm afraid if we don't do something, we might lose him too."

Kaiden's response was immediate. "I'll be right there," he said, his voice firm and resolute.

Alpha Thane felt a surge of hope at Kaiden's words. Maybe, just maybe, Kaiden's presence could help Aiden heal. He knew Kaiden and Aiden shared a deep connection one that went beyond mere friendship.

As he hung up the phone,he couldn't help but think that maybe,Kaiden's arrival could be the turning point Aiden needed. Maybe, with Kaiden by his side, Aiden could finally start to heal, to move past his grief and find a way to live again.

With newfound hope, Alpha Thane stood up, his eyes fixed on the door. He would go to Aiden, prepare him for Kaiden's arrival.

Kaiden's eyes glazed over as he stared blankly at his phone, his mind struggling to process the news he had just received. He knew how it felt like to lose a family,he couldn't imagine how much pain Aiden will be feeling, he knew how much Aiden loved his twin sister.he felt restless and anxious, unable to bear the thought of not being there for him.

He quickly called his beta Elias, to prepared his private jet for a flight to the Silver Mist pack's territory.

The flight was a blur, Kaiden's eyes fixed on the window as he stared out at the clouds. He felt a sense of numbness wash over him, as if he was in shock.

The plane landed and Kaiden made his way to the car sent to pick him up by Alpha thane.

The drive to the Silver Mist pack's territory was a long one, but Kaiden didn't notice. His mind was focused on Aiden, on what he would say to him, on how he would comfort him.

As the car pulled up in front of Alpha thane's Mansion, Kaiden felt a sense of trepidation. What would Aiden say to him? Would he even want to see him?, pushing the thought away he step out of the car and onto the driveway, he scanned the surrounding area, his eyes searching for any sign of Aiden.

Looking around ,he spotted one of the pack's guards standing by the entrance of the house. He walked over to the guard, seeking his attention .

"Excuse me," Kaiden said, his voice firm but polite. "Have you seen Aiden? I'm looking for him."

The guard nodded, his expression sympathetic. "Yeah, I just saw him a few minutes ago. He was walking towards the garden."

Kaiden's eyes lit up with hope as he turned towards the garden. "Thanks," he said to the guard, before taking off in the direction of the garden.

As he walked, Kaiden's heart beat faster with anticipation. He couldn't wait to see Aiden, to hold him in his arms and offer him comfort. He had been worried about his well-being since he heard the news about Aurora's death.

As Kaiden walked through the garden, he spotted Aiden sitting on a swing, his eyes fixed on the ground.his heart ached at the sight of Aiden's slumped shoulders and the deep sadness etched on his face.

Without hesitation,he rushed towards Aiden, his arms opening wide as he reached the swing. "Hey", he said softly, wrapping his arms tightly around his shoulders, pulling him into a warm and comforting hug.

Aiden's body stiffened at first, but as Kaiden's warmth and scent enveloped him, he slowly relaxed, his arms creeping around Kaiden's waist.

"I'm so sorry, Aiden," he whispered into Aiden's ear, his voice trembling with emotion. "I'm here for you, and I'm not going anywhere."

As he held Aiden close, he could feel the tension in Aiden's body begin to ease. Aiden's breathing slowed, and his heart rate calmed, as if the simple act of being held by Kaiden was enough to soothe his frazzled nerves.

Kaiden felt a wave of relief wash over him as he held Aiden close. He had been worried about him , and seeing him so broken had torn at his heart. But now, as he held Aiden in his arms, he felt a sense of hope. Maybe he could help Aiden heal.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Kaiden could feel Aiden's emotions begin to shift. The sadness and grief were still there, but they were no longer overwhelming, and he was grateful for that.

After a few moments of silence, Aiden spoke up, his voice raspy. "Kaiden?"

"Yeah,?" Kaiden replied, his voice soft and gentle.

Aiden's arms tightened around his waist. "I'm glad you're here."

Kaiden's heart swelled with emotion as he hugged Aiden closer. "I'm happy to be here with you and I'm not going anywhere, Aiden. I'm here for you, always."
